One of the employees at this company who has a pseudo name of Brunilda Jones is a very rude individual who has zero couth. He has since moved to the Austin TX area and is applying for jobs. If you don't hire him he begins leaving false reviews about your company lying about services just to try and get your rating down. He uses The Metropolitan Foot & Ankle Group as reference, so if you find yourself here beware of I saac and hiring him.

The doctors here are very friendly and knowledgeable. The staff are just as nice. It is easy to enter here should you have walking problems as the outdoor parking lot is very close to the outdoor access elevator. By the way, the view from the glass windows in the waiting room is very pretty. You can see the cars at the intersection of Union Turnpike and 164th Street and the Q65 bus stop going north.
There are 3 eating places at the first floor level and a convenience store. Across the intersection there are several fast food restaurants and a bank. Cars can drive in to the parking lot from either Union Turnpike or 164th Street. The are several podiatrists(foot doctors) here making it pretty easy to make an appointment within 1 to 2 days. I found it was not easy to do that when I called individual podiatrists in Flushing.
I had an accident that sent me to the Emergency Room for stitches the previous week so I needed stitch removal and follow up. I brought a family member here and his experience was also very good.

Slightly dysfunctional. They Cancelled my appointment, rebooked it, left numerous messages confirming and giving me directions in getting referral paperwork. I called this office to make sure they took my insurance. Spoke to someone there before the appointment and was told they accept it and that my copayment would be $80 dollars for specialist. Due to having new insurance, I had to find a pcp in order to get a referral to see this doctor.
I took time off of work to go to the pcp to get this referral to only show up and have them turn me away because I'm not in network. Otherwise I would have to pay $175 out of pocket (not including other fees for whatever is wrong with my foot) My pcp sent them the paperwork yesterday. And no one verified that my referral was good for my 5:15pm appointment.
It would have been nice to be notified beforehand that my insurance was in actuality no in network. (Maybe somebody can check eligibility the day before or day of so this may not inconvenience someone else. also employees should be trained on reading in network/ out of network benefits so they don't misinform patients) The office staff was nice, but someone definitely dropped the ball. Currently out of $20 dollars in a Uber ride and still limping around.

My primary podiatrist was Dr. Benitez. He's one of the best you can hope to get. He gave me renewed hope that there are doctors that actually care. He explained everything I needed to know pre and post surgery, and answered all questions, I never felt rushed. Follow-up care was also on point. Now I have to find a PMD that could be just as awesome.
Only issue I had was the fees, which is not within the doctor's control. You have to ask for the cost of everything, even for sneezing. I don't like receiving bills unanounced. The information wasn't as forthcoming as it should be. I guess that's the nature of health insurance. Thus, be proactive in asking.

Years ago Dr. Loshigian did a great job performing surgery on both of my feet. Recently I have been seeing Dr. Benitez for a problem with a toe tendon. He has used his Foot Movement Technique (FMT) to realign my foot, and he has given me many exercises to strengthen my foot. I have made substantial progress in resolving my toe problem. I am very appreciative of the efforts made by both doctors with respect to my feet. I strongly recommend Metropolitan Foot Group for podiatry.

I brought my father to this practice for a chronic issue on his foot that was impeding his quality of life. The demeanor and professionalism of the staff and doctors are top notch. Now post-op, my dad is very happy and although he is still healing, his pain is gone and he is already up and about much more than before. Highly recommended.

Want to wait for 45 minutes at the very least to be seen? Go here! Everything is untimely from the wait to get to see the doctor to the amount of time it takes to get your orthotics. I had to do my own research about treatments that are out there bc my doctor never mentioned one option and instead suggested expensive orthotics and then surgery as the next step. Also, the office is depressing and drab. I wish I had never invested my money and so much time into this place. I will be changing podiatrists ASAP.
