Olde Towne Medical & Dental Center (OTMDC) is classified as a rural safety net clinic servicing the tri-county regions of The City of Williamsburg, James City County and York County with a total population of 135,000. At the heart of the Center's mission is the provision of preventative care and early intervention services to a vulnerable and disadvantaged population with services to children and their families a priority.

I've been calling since 01/10 to schedule an EMERGENCY appointment for my mother in law. Spoke to the same man every time, who told me there was nothing available until 02/09. I explained to him multiple times that she was in a lot of pain. I called today to verify the appointment, he said there was nothing scheduled until 03/21. I told him absolutely not.
He transferred me to Shannon, she explained that he didn't actually schedule the appointment, and didn't even input her information into the system. Shannon is AMAZING. She was very understanding, sounds like they have a lot of issues with the male employee. She informed me my mother in law could come in at 9AM any day during the week for an emergency appointment.
There are many people looking for employment right now. I'm sure it would be easy to find a replacement for the first employee. I wish I had his name. Shannon if your reading this.your the best.

First appointment after vivid they kept me in waiting room for over an hour knowing they had canceled my appointment. Second appointment I called and could not get dental on the phone. I left messages with my number to confirm the appointment.no reply.day before I stepped in and medical side confirmed appointment for next day.arrived and was told the appointment they canceled it on he week before.no call again from them.

I read the reviews after making an appointment and was skeptical about going. Needless to say, the dental staff that assisted me was remarkable! The dentist told me what was going to take place today and my next appointment. He also talked to me during the procedure. I'm definitely going back and scheduled my next appointment! He and his assistant were definitely kind to me

Unethical practices taking place in the dental department of Olde Towne Medical. Not only was the nurse or dental assistant rude and condescending but the dentist told me that my teeth that had been bumped accidentally the night before, were permanently damaged and needed to be removed. This was told to me while I was wearing a mask and before he examined my teeth that were still intact inside my mouth. Needless to say I did not remove them that day and fortunately was able to speak and be seen by three periodontist all in a matter of four days and all took the same xrays and examined my mouth and said that my teeth will in fact tighten and two even went as far as suggesting that I report the dentist to the dental board. Ethically these are immoral practices and this place needs to be investigated by the state.

The staff is super friendly, but the doctors are horrible about following up on referrals, or setting follow up appointments when they say they're going to. You can never get a hold of dental side, and it always takes months to get a single appointment, even if they screw up and forget to make an appointment for you when they tell you they're going to. It's a mixed bag. Everyone up front is super nice. Everyone who's the doctor/nurse p/dentist doesn't actually care.

I was recommended by Dentaquest to call and make a dental appointment here. I'm in bad shape as a doc told me one of my wisdom teeth is rotted below the gumline. I called excessively and hit voicemail almost every single time. If it didn't hit voicemail, it disconnected. I agree with other reviews and would give 0 stars if I could. I also filled out all the online stuff for them.
I did what their website says and still got nothing. If you have dental emergencies, like I do, this place will do you no good. Honestly, Medicaid and Dentaquest should drop this place.

I scheduled dental appointment on July 30 ( I called them in March and this date was the soonest available) When I called in June to check if everything okay with my appointment in next month they told me that it was canceled! I didn't request cancellation! Now I'm on the waiting list to schedule appointment in September. What a horrible customer service!?! It's so hard to make appointment and even when you already scheduled it you can't be sure that you will see doctor. I don't recommend this place!

The single star rating is based solely on the fact that I stand an equal chance of hitting the Mega Million as I do someone answering the phones there, this has been going on for years! When I FINALLY get through (usually in person) and I tell them they reply with "we know" but nothing is done. Recently when I call the main number (all I want to do is confirm an appointment) I do get a recording from someone named Alex and he tells the caller to leave the name and number and he will get back to them. I'm still waiting! PEOPLE, FIX THE PROBLEM!
