We thank each of you for that privilege. Dr. Peter E. Wilcox grew up on the Peninsula with his eleven brothers and sisters.

Please Note - Patients are responsible for payment of services rendered. We accept most major insurance carriers in our state. We will gladly bill your insurance company for covered services. Our staff is very knowledgeable about the various insurances available and will help you to the best of our ability.
Today's health care environment has become more confusing and complex. Understanding your health insurance and vision benefit is not as easy as it once was. Our practice has provided this information to untangle and clarify many misconceptions about third party care and your vision. It is important for all patients to understand a fundamental principle of the third party mechanism.
So, what is a scleral lens? To answer that question there needs to be a brief study of ocular anatomy. The cornea is the clear dome that initiates the focusing of light in the eye. Outside the cornea lies the 'White of the Eye, also known as the sclera. The junction between these two structures is the limbus.
The Wilcox Eye Center (WEC) does not believe there is ever a "routine eye exam." We respect that sight is a precious gift and balance "routine vision needs" (wellness exams, glasses and contacts lenses) with a consistently suspicious look out for the unsuspected, overt or occult, ocular disease. Dr. Peter E. Wilcox is very experienced in the diagnosis, treatment and management of ocular disease.

5/18/22 Excellent doctor, staff and facility. Always feel very welcome when I arrive. This is a 5 star practice! 12/08/21 As always, staff were very accommodating and professional. Dr. Wilcox was filled with engery and new information. My appoint was great! 4/23/20 Vickie provided training to use the icare home device. She provided great training and easily answered all my questions.

It was so refreshing to step into an office and feel the friendship and respect missing in so many business in the USA. I watched a conversation between Dr Wilcox, his staff, and a patient. That was all it took for me to want to put my trust in Dr Wilcox and his staff. The cherry on the top was Dr Wilcox could offer me possible solutions for my traumatic Brain Injury and the havoc it has caused me with my vision. I have hope after 10 years. Thank you so much

Dr Wilcox is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. He made our appointment and Ortho K Lense process easy and simple. We were were worried but the doctor explained everything clearly and was easy to understand. He gave me a good discount. My 11 year Doctor is very happy to visit doctor Wilcox. He is highly recommended. All the staffs were professional and helpful.

Always professional and quick service. I've been coming here for 15+ years and I've never had any kind of negative experience here. The staff are lovely and always friendly. Dr. Wilcox is an outstanding professional in his career and will always tell you what you need to know straight up and straight to the point. I'd highly recommend coming here for your eye care needs.
