I came to see Dr. Weinfeld for help treating acne. A constant source of pain and embarrassment, my acne affected my psyche as much if not more than my actual appearance.but with Dr. Weinfeld's comprehensive and personalized attack on my acne I now have clear beautiful skin and the confidence to go along with that.
I have found this office to be very caring and punctual when they were treating my skin cancer. I found that I was very comfortable discussing my treatment plan with Dr. Weinfeld. She answered all my questions with lots of patience. Skin cancer screening: Our physicians perform thorough total body skin examinations, from the top of your scalp to the tips of your toes, looking for any cancerous or pre-cancerous skin lesions.
At Dermatology and Skin Care Associates, in Wellesley, Massachusetts, our physicians are trained in adult and pediatric dermatology. We are skilled in working with children and teens, helping them feel comfortable and treating each child and teenager as an individual. Our dermatologists talk with each child and teen on his or her level, trying to address the child's or teenager's concerns. Most babies can be examined while held comfortably on a caregiver's lap (although to see the skin you need to remove their clothing).
When I first came to the practice, about 60% of my scalp was covered [with psoriasis], and no other treatments had worked for [many] years. I was referred to Dr. Weinfeld by another dermatologist specifically for XTRAC treatment and was immediately impressed by the personal care and attention that Dr. Weinfeld showed me.

I would not use this office. This is the second time in a row I waited and ultimately wound up not being seen due to running out of time. The first visit was last year where I waited OVER an hour in the car, left, drove home, and received a call 40 minutes later saying they were ready for me. This time I waited 40 minutes and had to complain in the hallway before the Doctor even came in.
Doctor was not very concerned or apologetic and suggested I make visits at times that work better for him to guarantee I would be seen on time. Offered to waive copay and I let him know that no services were rendered and if I was billed I would file a complaint of medical billing fraud. The only other solution he offered was to make a visit with a different doctor in the practice. (Which of course would be in another 3 weeks.) When I called the office to complain I was just told this doctor tends to run behind. 10 - 15 minutes is "running behind", 40 minutes to an hour is unprofessional.
How can I trust my medical care to someone who can't be bothered to be reasonably on time for multiple visits? Definitely advise folks who value their time and medical care to not use this office.

Dr Weinfeld is so knowledgeable and always takes time to listen and answer all my questions. She's a top-notch dermatologist. The check-in process is smooth and though I do often have to wait a bit for the doctor to come in the room, I go mentally prepared and never have something right after that I need to rush off to. I know it's because she's not rushing the appointment before me and I'll get the same attention when my turn comes, so would rather that than feel like I'm rushed.

I have been going to this practice for years and my dermatologist left, but I chose to stay and I love Dr. LaRaia and her staff (Bree)! They are warm and welcoming and Dr. LaRaia is very thorough and explains everything especially as she is going along. Highly recommend this practice! So glad I stayed!

Due to Dr. LaRaia's through examination and excellent diagnostic acumen my scalp melanoma was identified early leading to immediate and no doubt live saving surgery and follow-up treatment ending in complete recovery. I fear to think if it might have been anyone else the melanoma might not have been caught early. Now Dr. LaRaia has me on 3-4 month follow-up full-body exams to ensure should anything suspicious be spotted it is dealt with promptly. Dr. LaRaia is truly fantastic, patient-friendly, utterly thorough and while could not say the same for every health care professional I have encountered, I shout her recommendation from the roof tops.

Dr Weinfeld is very attentive and thorough. I am confident that my skin health is in good hands. The office and medical staff are welcoming and helpful. I also like the skin care products that are available in the office. The prices are good and I feel confident that the products are top of the lune.

Dr LaRaia is by far the best of the several dermatologists I have experienced in my 65 years. She is thorough and professional and clearly the most competent of those I have seen. She is clear and conscientious and explains what she sees, what to look for and what if anything needs followup. She is gentle and pleasant. Her staff is excellent from her medical assistants to her office staff. Top notch all around.
