Dr Hoto is an awesome Dr. However, he arranged for Dr. Black to see me in ER, n admit n schedule toe amputation, don't go home, go directly to ER. This was 2nd time in 3 weeks, a podiatrist sent me directly to ER, prearranged with Dr black, to admit n schedule urgent toe amputation on 3 weeks. 1st time waited 8+ hrs, Dr black never showed n discharged for office visits, for urgent, dangerous toe amputation. Waited 12 hours in ER waiting room, Dr black never showed. Dr black also cancelled office visit day before appt, , which was risking toe n blood infection 2nd time. Dr black no show at ER AGAIN, but physician assistant in ER, not foot specialist, said toe doesn't need amputated, admitted me 4:00 AM, to floor for special people, loud moaning, yelling.
I joked is this psych floor. No, for special people that live in nursing homes, elder with psych issues. I was suspicious cause staff just go by first name n last initial, all call providers. Then 2 providers kept coming in room n locking door, took my carry bag with clothes, toiletries, note pad, pen, candy. to search it for life threatening things "patients" can hurt on.
I said no, I will show you, but not going to inspect n lock up for my safety. They started calling for back up. At no time was I angry, but really concerned they keep locking my door. I wasn't running away, needed toe amputated. Then 2 "providers " locked my door n and began a complete body search that made me feel in a nicer term, completely violated.
I was so embarrassed n humiliated. I checked my UPMC app chart on my cell, I wasn't admitted for major, seriously dangerous to health toe amputation n possibly sepsis blood infection. I was beginning physical therapy in few hours, primary diagnosis watch acid reflux, psycho therapy for people that want to harm themselves, n 3 other unrelated toe amputation diagnosis, requiring various therapies.
I questioned 2 providers that my chart app was completely wrong, I need to see my podiatrist. ASAP. When they saw I was monitoring my cell app, they had my access blocked. I text my son to come get me when I asked phlebotomist if this is psych floor, she quietly said yes. I text son again, pick me up at front door, something is very wrong n mentioned them doing complete body search, complete. Told providers he's coming, they kept locking door, refused wheelchair, they keep asking them on other floors for patients safety?
Another provider saw me taking gown off to get dressed, she too manhandled me trying to stop me n got stern n yelled stop it now. Said son coming, they said he wasn't. Now I actually called son, getting ready to pick me outside hospital. They refused wheelchair but then heard son say nobody is stopping me from coming to F ing get me. They got wheelchair, took me to entrance.locked at that hour, saw my sons truck, I said they blocked me from seeing my medical chart app on cell, n said, tell him what you did to me, she called it a skin check.
I cried on way home, son late to work, few hours later was unblocked from my chart app, they removed everything n just put in foot consult. All other diagnosis disappeared, including some extremely high blood pressure disease, never had high BP, wasn't having acid reflux, wasn't trying to harm myself, everything changed to wound consult some time this week.
All foot n wound Drs wanted me on IV antibiotics, checked for blood poisoning, scheduled for toe amputation ASAP. I also asked the "providers ", where they got all this info, said my primary care family Dr put those orders in. My PCP had no knowledge of or seen wound, not part of UPMC & doesn't even do rounds there. I called PCP & Jaimie nurse case mngr, very upset, they called back 4:00 PM, said I need to get back to any ER IMMEDIATELY CAUSE TOE WAS SERIOUS N CAN DIE FROM BLOOD POISONING.
I called a different hospital system n podiatrist appt for toe removal, calledcJaimie n Dr bissler to inform them casuse.family dr closed. They had my chart sent over, read everything, n tests results but all the psych n fictitious diagnosis info were removed first.

The service was ok. The billing was horrible they sent me a 100.00 bill but never noted or billed the secondary. When i called them to advise them of their oversight, the billing company did not care that they neglected to do there jobs at checkin. I will never take my nana back here and i would Not recommend this place to anyone. Clearly the office staff does not know how to do their jobs. And the billing company rep. Was rude when i attempted to advise her of the information needed to bill secondary.
