Practitioners of acupuncture and Chinese medicine have used this noninvasive treatment method to help millions of people become well and stay well. Acupuncture promotes natural healing. It can enhance recuperative power and immunity, support physical and emotional health, and improve overall function and well-being.
Acupuncture has been employed as a health care modality for over 5,000 years. Modern science has begun to understand the secrets of this ancient medicine with the support of new studies conducted by leading scientists, hospitals and medical research facilities from all over the world. Today, acupuncture is receiving wide acceptance as a respected, valid and effective form of health care. In a systematic review published by Spine Journal, acupuncture has been shown to have significantly favorable effects on chronic low back pain.
Gathering this information enables the practitioner to effectively diagnose and detect any specific imbalances of Qi that may have contributed to a persons health problems. The practitioner can then create a well-structured treatment plan. Once the imbalances of Qi are detected, an acupuncturist will place fine, sterile needles at specific acupoints along meridian pathways.

Alina is phenomenal! After dealing with pain in upper back for few days I decided to give her a try. Never had acupuncture done before so it was hit or miss experience to be expected. Alina was very calming with her approach and technique. Everything from massage and needles to suction cups (boy, they feel good.), was so calming and relaxing. I needed decent 15 min after treatment (which lasts 2 hours, btw!) to wake up and be able to drive.

Not many things I found so far more relaxing. After 3rd treatment, out of estimated 6 based on Alina's prediction, my back was happy and every next treatment was just for my pleasure, I have to admit. I know - spoiled myself a little. She's VERY knowledgeable person. I absolutely admire her experience and way she still is willing to learn more and more just for the good of her patients. Pricewise - no idea what other charges but here I pay between $45-75/treatment, depending what it contains.

Years ago I was having persistent sinus infections taking antibiotic after antibiotic - I went to Alina, and I no longer got sinus infections for about 15 years. I just recently started getting them again, so I'll be heading back very soon.15 years is a pretty long run! Alina is the most caring, knowledgeable accupuncturist out there. You won't find better!

I have been an acupuncture patient at AT Wellness for about 6 years, beginning when I suffered a serious back injury. I was advised by neurosurgeons that I had *no* option other than back surgery. I was very young at the time, and suspected back surgery at such a young age would do more harm than good. So, I tried -- as a "last resort" acupuncture at AT Wellness.

Within months, I had regained full mobility. First, she worked on the pain and, once the pain was manageable, we worked on mobility. As someone who resisted taking pain medicine, I can't tell you how much I appreciated a natural way to alleviate the very serious (immobilizing) pain I was in. Working on mobility was a breeze after that. I never had back surgery, and I never will.

When I feel any back pain starting, I rush to AT Wellness to get myself back in line. I try to go weekly now for stress relief and relaxation. The warm, welcoming, and therapeutic environment helps wash away the stress of a week. The owner of AT Wellness, Alina Szypula, earned her medical degree in Poland and came to the United States to study Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Thank God for that.
