Employees complain about many things such as finances being allocated to another facility for the board members to be more comfy rather than fixing the main hospital that literally has been falling apart, flooding, alarms malfunctioning. Follow up from above, complaints about employees bad mouthing patients infront of other patients and yet when mentioned to management, there is never a fix because the ones that do it, continue with no shame.
By the way the employees that are doing that, represent the organization and that type of behavior plants a bad taste for the community to see and hear which it does so what are you all going to do about it?! #call out. The only reason this review deserves a one star is because of the select few and I mean select few that are professional and show compassion there earned your organization that star.

Worst care ever. Dr blamed an infection on something else I have instead of treating a obvious infection decided I should be transferred to another hospital despite my objections tried to say I had to leave ama because I didn't want to be treated by another facility. Called and asked for Dr name and was told they don't provide Dr's names Worst place ever.

Brought my daughter here because I thought we would get help with metal health. Instead we got pushed into a room for about five hours. Treated as if we are a bother when we want to know how much longer (after hours and hours) it will be, they gave us the shoulder shrug. By far the worst when it comes to patients well being and maybe some empathy for waiting a ridiculous amount of hours.
Especially to speak with a therapist to be discharged. I don't recommend this place. Nurses in the ER. Well I respect your hard work, but maybe try not to hate your jobs in front of the patients. I personally will never be back. Just go and see, you will regret it.

I was in last night er visit. I am 28 days post spinal fusion. I would suggest any other hospital over Memorial. I mean if you value care and treatment of your life. I had over 80 staples in my a week ago. They will treat everyone and anyone like your in there trying to get pain medicine. I had brought my own. Rn even made a joke that what they have me wasn't as strong as a what I'm already taking.
They will knowing order test to bill your insurance. Like running a CT knowing my surgeon ordered a mri. I filled a grievance. Would not let me speak with manage in person. Then they said I could finally take my own medicine. After I asked to be released. I would avoid all contact with this hospital. Yes it's worth the drive to sparrow. Please don't do it to yourself by going go Memorial

I went to the ER on the advice of my hematology doctor. I have been here for 15 hours and counting and the nurse just came in to tell me it would probably be 7am or 730 am before my transfer to Grand Rapids will be here. I also have to all of a sudden keep my doors shut which makes me crazy. Why does Memorial always have to treat patients like they don't matter? If your a sheep and bow to power crazy nurses the Memorial healthcare is your place to be.

Every staff member was incredibly patient, very informed, efficient and compassionate. I brought my eldest sibling in for emergency gallbladder surgery, they were in a great deal of pain and incredibly ornery. Still, we were treated quickly and well! Never did I say 'What is happening'? A huge 'Thank You' to everyone at Memorial Health Care! A hospital moving in the right direction!

Lack of employees. Departments close early. Memorial Healthcare Hospital has their employees work with patients with COVID-19. Great. Now when the employees get Covid-19 and sent home the employees are not paid. You ask a employee to work in a hazardous environment and they do it for the good of man kind. The employees get sick from this task. Then Memorial Heathcare doesn't take care of their employees?
It's No wonder the medical world doesn't have enough employees. If they treat their employees like this how are we treated? Not the place to get CARE. Sad! I will be looking for a true health provider.

I give it a two-star rating because the staff is wonderful when it comes to like guest services and some of the physicians offices like the pediatric office they are amazing but my experience was with the OB unit and delivering my child it was one of the worst experiences of my life and I have had five children

Literally just walked out. I left my job around 5 pm got here about 10 mins later. I was checked in within 15 mins. I went in for diabetes complications and I've bin here for about 3 and a half hours. Still no word or anything. I watched everyone in the waiting room as I got here go back and even multiple people that weren't there till about an HR after I was get called into a room.
You know as serious as type 1 Diabetes is you would think since my blood was about 588 wen I got there they would see that as an emergency. But nope apparently that's not enough.

Worst hospital I've ever been to. The doctors are terrible and rude as well as the staff. How some of the people there passed medical school is beyond me. How can you misdiagnose blood clots as anxiety? Don't even listen to patients and search for an easy scapegoat to pin symptoms on. Thankfully, I went to a real hospital after being dismissed one too many times.
I get so mad thinking of how I was treated here! Also the wait times are unexplainably long for such a "well staffed" under visited ER, sure seemed to be plenty of rooms after they finally begrudgingly called me back. Go to sparrow unless you have a papercut.

One afternoon my child starts screaming and holding her ear while saying ouch repeatedly. We immediately and frantically take her to the E.R. I stayed behind with the other kids until I had a relative come over. As I got at the hostpital I expected them to already be in a room. As I got there my child was getting vitals and mandatory check up before getting into a room.
They came back out and she was still holding her ear crying. They sent her back out in the waiting room with the rest of the people who were not bleeding, coughing nor holding their pain noticeably. They told us for that whole hr in half to almost two hours that there were 3 people in front of us. Our child was punching her ear in pain! My child's behavior was abnormal and we were very clearly concerned parents!
None of the workers seemed like they cared and they did not treat this as a proper emergency! My child eventually calmed down but we were still very worried about her behavior and noticeable pain! We decided to take her to hurley and we later had to find out that she had a BUG in her EAR! The pain was from it biting her and moving around. Why should my child go through that for so long and suffer!? Hurley will be our family's go to from now on.
