Frustrating experience overall. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone. Liars and unprofessional, they don't care about the patient at all. I have a skin issue that is time-sensitive and if I don't apply steroids it keeps expanding to other parts of the face and neck. I requested an appointment with Dermatology, when I arrived at the facility I was told that there is no doctor and a PA will look into my case. PA couldn't figure out much of my issue and asked me to not apply steroids at all and let the situation be as-is for a few weeks and use a different medication (which is tried in the past and didn't work), and Dr. Rao will look at it in the next appointment.
I agreed and took the appointment for the next visit with Doctor. Now my situation got deteriorated and when I went to their office for a visit, just at the exact arrival time they called and said that there are no doctors available and the appointment is canceled. They also lied saying that we have messaged you about the cancellation in the past, but there was no voicemail and no messages.
I am attaching the screenshot of the communication. When asked for the next appointment, it was available a month later with Dr Rao. They again suggested visiting and being seen by a PA which is of no use. They did offer another doctor option that too 3 weeks later appointment for a doctor which again is available for just Tuesday. Overall it felt like such a terrible experience that i lost many weeks of time and my situation deteriorated and they didn't care about the patient at all. Now even if they offer me a next-day appointment, I am not going to visit this facility ever. Terrible one and recommend people to stay away from them.

Amazing experience getting a facial with Daria! I've had a ton of facials throughout my life and this one really impressed me. Daria is clearly a skin expert, really educated me on what I can be doing to keep my skin healthier and was super thorough with each step. I started recommending her to friends as soon as my facial was over

I've always had a pleasant experience at Rao Dermatoligy. The staff was always friendly and welcoming, DR. Noor was very knowledgeable & attentive to my concerns. I was very pleased with my procedures both times and appreciated Dr. Noor responding promptly to my after care phone call concerns. I 100% recommend Dr. Noor.

FIVE STARS! Book this now. I loved my experience here and you won't regret yours either. The experience was efficient, eye-opening (he educated me so much on my skin), and refreshing. How is it possible to go to your dermatologist and want to be bffs with him at the same time? Great banter and also got all my questions answered with solutions.

-Frustrating experience. I saw the doctor on Monday and by Thursday my prescription still hadn't been filled. I kept calling and getting the runaround. I was told twice that someone would call me back but that never happened. I've called them a countless number of times now and still don't have my prescription filled.

They do not communicate with the nurses and other doctor at all. You'll see one and then the next appointment see the other and feel like you're a brand new patient. The service and treatment is so inconsistent. They also will mess up your precautions. Two months in a row I've had difficult receiving my prescriptions because they send it to various pharmacies. I've called and requested which to send it to, only to be told they sent the WRONG script for refill.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. STAY FAR AWAY! Needing a dermatologist, I called my Insurance company to get an in-network provider locally. They provided Rao Dermatology as the closest in-network dermatologist, so I called up to make an appointment. It took several back and forth calls to ensure that Dr. Rao did in fact, take my insurance - I verified their NPI number with my insurance company, then called the doctor's office and gave them all my information.
They called me back after confirming my coverage, then shceduled an appointment 4 weeks in the future. When I arrived for the appointment, I was told "we don't take your insurance." I pointed out that my insurance was verified before the appointment, and I would not have been able to make an appointment without verifying the insurance. When I asked to speak to the staff person who verified my insurance before making the appointment, I was told they were not working today.
I was told by the manager that the doctor only took my insurance in another office that he no longer went to, and I would have to pay the full amount. I called my insurance company, who told me that my visit WOULD be covered at the location I was at. However, it was only after the front desk person gave my insurance company a COMPLETELY NEW NPI NUMBER did I realize this was all a sham.
I wasted an hour and a half today, plus all the phone calls to set this up and confirm things ahead of time. TLDR: If they tell you on the phone they take your insurance, don't believe them. The office just wants to waste your time and make you feel frustrated and stupid.

While the office is run very efficiently, I would say that a full body exam just wasn't really thorough. My experience with 2 other dermatologists at other offices doing a full body scan actually last 15-20 min and everything was checked even between the toes! I left those 2 offices feeling confident any issues were addressed. Unfortunately there is a 3 month waiting period at those offices so I decided to try this practice.
The full body check at this office was probably 3-5 min long and I left the office feeling I really to make an appointment somewhere else just in case. Doctor was really nice but definitely felt rushed.

Dr. Noor and his staff are amazing and trustworthy. I've been going to Rao dermatology for about 2 years now. Dr. Noor has excellent credentials and, most importantly, always provides effective treatment. He is a very considerate and positive person so it's a nice place to go. I have to note that the doctor and staff never try to sell you on anything which is pretty remarkable in NYC for a dermatologist who is so competent.
Their prices are extremely fair for NYC given that you're getting top of the line treatment. The staff is very thoughtful, kind and efficient too. It's truly a great team. I'm so happy I found this place.

I have been undergoing treatment with Dr. Noor for the past 4 months. I have to say that he gives his patients 200% and is very knowledgeable and honest. I totally trust his expertise and am confident with my currentongoing treatment that we are going to tackle this hypertrophic scar. I highly recommend hm for annual dermatological checkups well as treatments for major skin issues. Thumbs up and 5 stars!

Love this location, love the receptionist/ medical assistant (entire staff really), and the doctor (Dr. Sairah Khokher). Everyone is very friendly and personable. Waiting area is clean and organized. Plenty of seating. Patient rooms are small, but also organized and clean. I've been there two times already and the experience has been so efficient and seamless that I look forward to my appointments.
I usually hate any kind of doctor's appointments, because of the long agonizing wait times, the front desk usually seems annoyed with your presence, etc. Instead, they take the time to chat a bit, granted the phones are not ringing. A rare place where the staff seems as if they enjoy their job. My first appointment, I didn't even get to finish my first time paperwork before I was called into the room.
My second appointment, I was 15 minutes early and went into the room within a couple minutes. I never waited long for Dr. Khokher to come in. Under 5 minutes. Honestly, you never have time to settle into the room/chair before she comes in. Having said that, she doesn't spend a lot of time with you. However, my needs are not very serious and I make sure to know exactly what to discuss.
She never gives off the impression she's rushing you, so I think she would take the time to listen to your concerns and discuss any problems longer, if necessary. But because it can be so quick, be prepared. It's easy to get flustered and forget things when everyone is moving so quickly. They never try to push products or treatments on you.
With adult acne, they can suggest all kinds of facials, peels, lasers, but they really leave it up to the patient. If you do want to get laser treatments, there are no package deals. They do not lock you into anything. Walls are very thin. I could hear her and another patient, word for word, what they were saying. So.if you any embarrassing concerns and there are a lot of patients, talk quietly! Very easy to get to, and have ample parking (mixed business and residential, I believe). I plan to keep coming back as long as they take my insurance!

This is an excellent practice and I'm glad I found it. I came here today for the first time after finding them on ZocDoc. The staff was super friendly and helpful and I was able to be seen the same day. Upon arrival, I was immediately seen by Dr. Lauren Riley; she is AWESOME. She took her time listening to me and gave me some excellent recommendations. She's very personable and you can tell she actually cares about her patients. Needless to say, I was very impressed and i highly recommend booking an appointment to be seen by her. Thank you!

Quick service, really welcoming and friendly staff/nurses. As for the doctor, not very attentive and informative. Seriously felt like I knew more and wasting my time/money talking to the guy. Very little advice on how to improve my skin. would recommend trying another doc don't be fooled by the ZocDoc reviews like I was.
