Services
Our physicians are trained to treat and diagnose all eye conditions, such as cataract, retinal diseases, and glaucoma. Intraocular lens options, including Crystalens and Restor are available for our cataract patients. We offer laser cataract surgery and toric intraocular lenses for patients with significant astigmatism.
We suggest diabetics and those taking medications with possible ocular side effects (i.e hydroxychloroquine) have an eye examination at least yearly, possibly more often if there is retinopathy. For those over 60 years old with no eye disease or strong family history of such, should have an eye exam every 1-2 years.
To date, more than a million people have had the procedure performed with overwhelmingly positive results. The FDA has recently approved the procedure for treatment of even higher levels of nearsightedness and astigmatism than it had originally approved, making it possible for nearly 90 percent of people who have these vision problems.

This Dr. Has the manner and personality of a slug. After you pay 2500.00 (for one eye) and after the surgery, his manner is even worse. He is sarcastic and dismissive. Impossible to talk to. I'm not even sure it was done correctly, as now distance certainly isn't 20/20. Far from it. I never would refer anyone to him!

Dr Friedberg and his team are professional and caring. He is an excellent surgeon and I highly recommend him for anyone that needs eye surgery. All of the staff from front desks to his technicians are friendly and make you feel at ease. His surgical team by far is the best. Surgical team orchestrated pure professionalism from pre-op to post-op. They were on top of everything. The flow went smoothly. They know what they have to do and do it perfectly.

I've never been to a doctor that made me feel more terrible than this place. I never write reviews, but feel this is necessary. They way the women at the front desk speak with you is degrading and rude. Two women almost felt like they were bullying me. They don't have patience and are snappy. I left there feeling mistreated and thoroughly upset and will not be coming back or recommending this place to anyone.

I never post reviews, though I felt like I needed to for this visit. I brought my mother who has MS and can't walk.the first point of contact was a very rude woman behind the desk. Not a very pleasant person and shouldn't be in a position where she needs to talk with the patients.next they took my mother to the little room off of the waiting area, again a very rude woman who has no patience with her. Next, I asked where they were bringing her, I had told her that my mothers memory isn't good, (and responded sarcastically- yea, I can see that), and told me the doctor will call you when she is done. Anyway, I am just waiting in my car to be called back in. I will have to complete my review later, after the whole visit. I was just taken back by how the staff treated us in the first 15 minutes.

Let me start this review by saying that this review is about the front desk staff and not about Dr. Friedberg or his medical assistants. He is an excellent doctor, who I trust for treating my grandmother. And I will keep trusting him. However, the front desk staff is absolutely awful, rude and completely unprofessional. They scream out the patients confidential information without a shame into the whole waiting room. Dr. Friedberg is the best expert is his field and that's the only reason I'll keep bringing my grandma to the appointments with him. I think he deserves much better and much more professional front desk staff than those the rudest ladies working there right now.

Outstanding experience withMid Atlantic Eye Center for cataract surgery. I astounded by the results of my cataract surgery Dr. Friedberg. Dr Friedberg is clearly very competent. I say this not only because of the results but also by the courtesy and caring attitude by the staff in the OR and in the office by Arlene, Fatima and those at the front desk (Sue, I believe).

Horrible horrible doctor. I would not even give him one star. He told my 83 year old father he had a stroke (actually yelled at him) when he did not. He had a headache and thought it was coming from his eyes. He had no test or symptoms that showed a stroke, and a neurologist performed an MRI that proved he did not. He was rude and absolutely horrible.
Would not allow a question to be asked. Then, he told my mom she had glaucoma when she did not. I asked if the glaucoma showed up on the test he did, and he said no. Then he yelled at me and said he didn't need a test, he could look at her eye and tell she had it. He basically told her to use the eye drops and shut up. I took my mom to another eye doc, he ran three glaucoma tests, confirmed she did not have glaucoma and took her off the drops.
Such a shame as my parents had gone to Dr. Kahn for many many years. He was a wonderful doctor. They will never return to this office. He not only misdiagnosed them both, but he was a terribly rude - really just nasty. Awful. I have never posted a review before, but felt this was necessary.

This is the worst staff I have ever spoken to. My husbands contact (he wears hard contacts) broke and I called to order another contact. They were so rude and said he must come in for an appointment because it was over two years. I said ok and they said they only had July 27. Well that was three weeks away and he couldn't see. I said ok I guess I have to find another doctor she said ok.
My husband had been a patient there for 50 years. So we found a doctor who would see him in two days. Well guess what? He was at Midatlantic Eye within two years (I guess they realized that) and they sent him a prescription in the mail. (which took a week) What a bunch of nonprofessionals. Also, when the new doctor called to get his records they said they couldn't give the records because he had an appointment with THEM. (which he didn't) Unbelievable. Thank twice before going to this place. They don't even deserve ONE Star. Denise Kane

The staff and Dr. Friedberg were very snippy and rude. Dr. actually told me to refrain from asking questions. Staff were so rude and impatient to these poor elderly patients. Also said they would call back with results of my mriwhen they never called-I called them and they gave me an attitude about it.

This office is crazy, and one of their main doctors is a bully. I would never take my elderly parents there, and never ever leave them alone with this woman. She should have her license revoked. I do not know what Doty and Kahn were thinking bringing her on (unless they are afraid if her). Worst experience of my life in ANY Dr office.
