I called on Tuesday, as told to if my symptoms didn't go away, and left a message with my name, number, and birth date. I waited 5 hours and called back to be told rudely, "We are very busy! We will call you when we get to you!" It is now Saturday and no call back. Looks like I will now be going elsewhere.

Pandemic? Where? Carlinville hospital isn't scared! Nobody even wears a mask here! Staff is great. Desk receptionists are pleasantly rude. People coughing and hacking in waiting areas with no masks on and none of staff will mention to them to cover up considering there were 12 counted people in nearby area. Our family has ALWAYS called this place a bandaid station. What a joke CAH

Been here a few times and now have my primary doctor here--much more convenient and closer to home vs going to Springfield and waiting an hour to get in. As for the staff- Everyone I've talked to here has been super friendly and helpful with whatever I needed. It's refreshing to visit a place where you're treated as a person, not just "Patient #1234" that can sometimes happen with bigger places. Having a 7 days a week walk in clinic is also a big plus, as many places don't do weekends.

It strikes me as odd if. you go for a covid test.and you have concerns, that you are turned away at carlinville and Litchfield hosp. Without a dr. Conformation.seems to me its putting more people at risk. With it being considered a pandemic.first you have to expose the dr. Iffice then 2 hosp.with still no conformation.or test

This place is a JOKE. overpriced bandaid stand. Went into the ER thinking i had pneumonia. after a solid LESS THAN THREE MINUTES and NO EXAMINATION WHATSOEVER the doctor tells me i have bronchitis and leaves the room. i was prescribed antibiotics and that was the end of that. i've never been so put off by a hospital experience. the doctor wasn't personable at all and i wouldn't trust him farther than i could throw him. how do you diagnose someone without looking into their symptoms?
They weren't even concerned that o mentioned i've been light headed frequently and literally thought i was going to pass out while sitting there. Definitely wouldn't waste my time here again, i'll go elsewhere

This place is horrible. They don't know what's what that has to deal with anything medical related. I went in there back in December cause I was having stomach pains. All they said was that it was constipation. So they gave me a laxative. Went back a couple weeks ago cause I was having a severe panic attack and the nurse was sooo not nice about poking me with a needle and they said the xrays came back as nothing was wrong and that I was constipated again. However, constipation doesn't normally cause you to vomit every time you eat and have severe stomach pains.
Especially if it was just mild constipation. What they failed to realize is that I had gallbladder issues. I went to a different hospital and they pinpointed my stomach issues and removed my gallbladder. Carlinville Area Hospital doesn't know jack squat. The emergency staff isn't all that friendly. All they care about is not having to do anything. I've had bad experience with them before hand a few times and I refuse to go back to that hospital. I wouldn't recommend that hospital to even my worst enemy.

I saw Dr. Rodriguez-Frias on 3/16/18. He wrote me a Rx and I ended up needing a pre-authorization for the medication which took 2 weeks for the Drs office to get it submitted. Once turned in it was denied since it's a new med and I hadn't been on any previous medications for this problem before. That's all fine and dandy but here we are at one month after my office visit and they hadn't even bothered to contact me or submit an Rx for another drug that was covered. Needless to say I am still in pain and still without meds.
Who does that? Where is the patient care? Are we managing appointments or patients? If you can't even be bothered to reach out to the patient to ensure they get treated what kind of care should I expect for my scheduled colonoscopy in June? Forget you, I will find another Gastroenterology for that.
