It was another very long wait. I still don't feel like the staff is attempting to get to know us. Spencer is such a cool kid but they need to take time to build trust. It doesn't seem that they understand his autism. If they took time to talk with him, they would get to know his strengths, challenges, and triggers. We spend most of the time sitting in a room by ourselves waiting. People are friendly but distant. Good news is that Spencer is healthy! He gets to drink whole milk and eat more ice cream, not a bad prescription!

Dr. Colton is a tremendous physician. We are so grateful he is our children's pediatrician. He is very helpful, professional, straight-forward, kind, friendly (the kids feel very at ease with him), and trustworthy. We have had to deal with several issues that to us were significant, and Dr. Colton's guidance and decisions have made all of the difference for our children's well-being.

Are you an existing patient? Lucky you. But if you aren't, don't bother calling to ask if you can make an appointment or to get a recommendation or anything like that. They don't accept new patients and don't even try to help you even if you are referred to this place. If you are calling this place, you are likely to have a sick child, or you're in a situation that you need help. You will not get it. Save yourself the frustration when you are already vulnerable. One wonders why they are in this profession in the first place.

We've been going to this pediatrician since we moved to Atlanta two years ago and they have been pretty good. It's always tough finding a new pediatrician in a new city but we were okay with this one. Jennifer Kennedy is great! She's very thorough and listens to our concerns and answers our questions. It's been fairly easy to get an appointment within reasonable time and staff has always been friendly and helpful.

I'm very satisfied with Children's Medical Group. The entire experience from check-in to check-out is very efficient. All the staff and nurses are super nice. We have seen a couple of different doctors here and both were great! very personable, good listeners and give good explanations for any condition

My children have seen Dr. King since they were newborns. He is such a knowledgeable, empathic professional and a great person! We are now moving overseas and I hope I can find a new pediatrician half as good as Dr. King. He will be dearly missed. Every single visit to this practice in the past 4 years has been excellent. Nurses, front desk team, lab, admin staff are also great!

Decent practice with kind practitioners. I feel confident that they wouldn't miss anything serious, but they're very much a treat-the-symptoms kind of place, and aren't particularly interested in looking for the root cause of any issues. I also consistently wish that they would talk to my child about what's happening. Today we went in for flu shots and the nurse laid him down, pulled his pants down, and stuck a needle in his leg, all while chatting to me.
I couldn't get a word in edgewise to ask her to please fill him in on what she was about to do, and that's been my typical experience. I always have to prepare myself going in to be ready to pause the conversation and explain what's happening to my son. I understand not doing that with infants, but he's a very verbal, potty trained toddler now, and it's unfair and disrespectful to do things that are physically uncomfortable to him without bothering to acknowledge his personhood and bring him into the loop. I couldn't find a way to leave this feedback for the practice, so am hoping that someone will see it here and take it into consideration.

I used to go here from birth to 21. I was sad when I had to leave, and I'm still sort of sad because as an adult I haven't received the level of treatment or care in adult facilities (I'm 25). Looking back I'm glad my mother took me here. I had Dr. Jann when I was about 4-9 years old, great doctor and always made me feel at ease. Knows how to talk to patients, And Dr Meeks was good too.
It says something when an ADULT former patient takes the time out of their busy day to write something for this great practice. This place knows how to take care of kids, and looks out for well being of patients first. Once you leave here as a patient you will not get the same level of care anywhere else. One thing I do have to say that when you come into this location they have a sick and well area but alot of people don't listen to the directions.
So sometimes youre sitting next to sick kids. As I got older and sat in the waiting room I always made sure to sit in a corner when I was feeling well LOL. I wish they could change that and maybe put partitions up? I dont know.

This small (six docs) Clairmont group was recommended to us by friends who, within a couple of years, switched to other groups. Luckily our kids have been healthy, so I can't comment on the technical skills of the docs. But dealing with this group is usual a real pain. Nothing is easy or ever quick. You will almost always need to take time off from work for an appointment, and be prepared to wait 30-90 minutes in the waiting room.
It is hard to get an appointment with a favorite doctor and they really push appointments with their nurse practitioners. Nurses have not been very responsible about returning calls after consulting with docs.

I have recently moved out of state and am so sad to have to leave CMG. Dr. Bell is warm, attentive, and non-alarmist yet careful and thorough. I felt so comfortable with her as our pediatrician (we've been with the practice for about 6 years, since my younger daughter's birth). And her nurses, wow! I love love love Tamara and Valencia. Tamara has kept me from rushing in unnecessarily many times when I call first and is very knowledgeable and reassuring. Valencia has an amazing bedside manner and is so quick and competent with the shots. On a side note, we also had Sean a couple of times (Dr. McConnell's nurse) and she was incredibly compassionate and gentle, too.

We love this place! They always try to get you booked as soon as possible. All of the staff is trustworthy, fantastic with kids, and really knowledgeable. I wish I could have them as my own PCP practice! They have their own lab on-site so you don't have to go to another location for blood tests. They subscribe to the CHOA nurse line for after hours questions, which is very helpful.
You can also get a call-back in a reasonable timeframe as well. During office hours you can also call to ask the nurses questions. If they don't know they ask the doctors and/or PAs and reply back with the answer. You can see any doctor with available appointments or you can try to stick with your "favorites" or whoever you see most often. There is a well-child side and a sick child waiting side.
There is also a special room for your newborn until he or she is 2 months old. The newborn waiting room has a space to change diapers and nurse away from everyone looking at you. They have Saturday morning office hours if you have a sick kid. We have never been rushed out of the exam room at the end of an appointment. They have let is take our time when I've had to nurse the little one or chase down shoes and socks and cram them on.

My insurance covers well visits at 100%. In fact, when I would take my children in for their check up, I was told that I didn't have a co-pay for the day. When I would take another child, I was told otherwise. I called my insurance company and they reassured me that my visits should have been covered and I shouldn't have had to pay anything.
I called to ask for a refund, but they said because I spoken with the doctor about a secondary diagnosis more than 1/2 of the visit, then I was excluded. 1) It was not more than 50% of the visit. They wanted to know how the medication was working and they wrote a prescription 2) They could have mentioned that discussing anything outside of the well visit might not have been covered by insurance.
They frequently called my children back late for their appointments and often kept us waiting far longer than we should have. I had a well visit for my son yesterday. I arrived at 3:30 for his 4 pm appt. We didn't leave until almost 6 pm. There were staff members leaving before us, as we waiting over 30 minutes for them to print a Rx. We used this practice for nearly 9 years.
The only reason we stayed was because we liked our primary physician. However, every time we called to make an appointment, they could never get an appointment with her. I'm done. I feel like they cheat us and they certainly don't value our time.

Still taking both of our kids here - who are now 6 and 3 - and still loving it. We can always get seen immediately when one of the kids is sick, and if we can't see their regular doctor (Dr. Meeks), the PNPs Marietta and Suzanne are both great. Seen a few of the other doctors on sick visits as well and never had a bad experience. My kids actually enjoy going to the doctor because they know we're coming here.
They love the train in the waiting room, and pretty much all of the nurses and staff are great with kids. We've also taken advantage of walk-ins on Saturdays many times.

This is a great Pediatric practice! We have had our share of practices, but this is the best one by far! It is kids we are talking about and their health, so you want a place that is top notch and provides great service. Yes, it is a BIG practice, which I was nervous about at first, but I have not met a doctor/Physician Assistant/ Nurse/ Staff member that I have not liked.
My kids see different doctors by choice since their are different things that I want to focus on with each of them. I have never had an issue getting an appointment here. Oh, did I mention. THEY HAVE SATURDAY HOURS IN THE MORNING. This is HUGE especially if you are a working parent. Oh, and if you child is really sick and needs to be seen on Sunday, THEY HAVE A DOCTOR THERE FOR JUST A FEW HOURS ON SUNDAY TOO.
You do not need to head over to CHOA or an Urgent Care. (CHOA is great by the way!). We love Dr. Kind and Dr. Shu, but really, I like everyone! They even follow up with you to see how your child is doing. I wish I got this type of service with my doctor. They have FREE parking too. The office is right off of 85 and Clairmont which makes it convenient for families in Decatur, Atlanta, Brookhaven, Dunwoody. They have another office in Johns Creek too.

I have 3 kids oldest being 9 & have been going here since he was born. We see Marietta who is so awesome! My kids love her! She's so nice, has very great bedside manner, & takes her time even when she has all 3 of my kids at once. We also see Dr. Rudnicki when Marietta isn't avaliable no issues with her at all. The front office staff is very nice.
I love the office decor and the cleanliness of the office. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for a pediatrician. They also offer Saturday hours which is awesome!

I recently relocated from VA to GA about 9 months ago. I really liked this office. Very nice decor, clean facility and the front desk are friendly for the most part. Things I don't like (now you can chuck this up that in my last state, I had been there nearly 19 years and my son who will be 5 was with his old peds office since he was 1). 1- The PA saw my son who was there for a possible URI.
I asked if she checked for strep and she said yes (normally, a swab test is done.but maybe her magical eyes were able to see if he had strep). 2- I called the doctor and there is no transfer to the nurse.the front desk has to take a message and have the nurse call back. I SPECIFICALLY gave my work and cell in case they couldn't reach me at work.
This was important. They just called my work phone (NEVER CALLED MY CELL). I called back again and they said the nurse will call me back.however, its 12:45 and they don't get back in until 2pm. WTH? 3- Its very rare you can see the same doctor. 4. - They insisted my son get a spacer. I didn't want one.but they insisted.so she came in and gave it to me.$25! IF YOU WANT TO INSIST ON ME HAVING SOMETHING.at least tell me that there is a charge instead of handing it to me like a "here you go" and I get to the desk and have to spend $25 for it. I am ultimately disgusted and currenlty found another ped near my area. Pick somewhere else if you want to feel like your child matters.

Still quite happy with this place, but not as euphorically as after the first visit. A con of this place versus Piedmont Pediatrics is phone advice - you speak to a receptionist and then it takes a pretty long time for a nurse to call you back and you just have to repeat yourself, versus at Piedmont the nurse picked up the phone directly. I also did have one ghastly long wait for an appointment during an illness where we had to take her in several times and she was really upset - plus one incident of several rounds of administrative confusion when a sick visit coincided with a well checkup.
So after several months experience with this provider versus Piedmont Pediatrics, I'd say they're pretty comparable, but I'm still overall happy with my decision to switch. Wish they were closer to my house though!
