Dr. Hawthorne is the finest. After a very thorough exam she took time to explain what was happening, give options as to what might possibly continue to occur, and how we would be able to address the issue and proceed with the next visit. I'd recommend her to everyone who wants the finest in eye care.

Alot of patience and courtesy I appreciate them. My only eye Dr's don't have to look nowhere else. Thanks

Dr. Torres is just there to get a paycheck and is not there to help her patients get to the root of they eye condition. She refused to look at medical evidence that I presented her that showed a link between my vision issues and Covid. She said that she was not an cornea expert but was adamant that my vision issues were not caused by Covid. I guess she is an expert enough to make that conclusion. When I asked her assistant Melissa why Dr. Torres would not review my evidence, she said that my insurance does not pay for that.

Just completed my second eye cataract surgery. Dr Kelly is a very skilled surgeon and his staff is very efficient and provide excellent care. The next day follow up visit went well. I highly recommend Dr Kelly and his staff.

Dr. Hawthorne and team were amazing! Got me in same day, professional, solved my issue, and are very nice people.

The staff are friendly, nice, knowledgeable and professional. For some reason, the wait between eye dilation and seeing the doctor was longer than it should have been. Other than this wait time, everything was great.

Dr. Hawthorne is a great Dr. Honest, concerned, and professional. Overall, there can be some improvement with the wait time.

Highly recommend Howerton Eye Clinic. Dr. Kristen Hawthorne MD. and her staff gets five stars. From the initial visit to the final consultation all procedures were explained in detail and all questions answered. Had I more than two eyes, Dr. Hawthorne would be my physician of choice for corrective vision surgery. Her medical staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make the visits as comfortable as possible.

The receptionist was very professional and really knew how to deal with a very rude person. The dr was thorough on the exam and explained what was going on with my eyes to where I would be able to understand

Took my Mother In-law who has dementia for a eye check. Kristen Hawthorne and all her staff were warm and caring. We were able to get her a new prescription for glasses and I'm sure will improve her vision.

Two months after my visit (first and last), I received a $50.00 bill. I called and I was told by the billing person that I signed the paper. Apparently they did a refraction. Before I left the office, I did ask the front desk if I owed anything else, I was told no, you are good to go. You bet, I will never go there neither recommend anyone. I'm also filing a complaint with BBB regarding this bill because I do not recall them doing anything special to me besides normal ey exam which my insurance covers.

The wait on this place is ridiculous. They use the word APPOINTMENT very loosely. I had an appointment, but I was told there were 11 patients in front of me to see the same doctor. They are dishonest and they schedule MULTIPLE patients for the same time slot. They do this because they have no respect for your time. They are banking that once they collect you co-pay, you will stay and just wait.

Being that I was born and raised in one of those "wonderful" universal healthcare infernos, I am used to wait a while for an "appointment" with a doctor. However, once I left that craphole, I didnt expect to find a private doctor's office with the same time wait. They have a waiting room inside too. So once you get called from the front waiting area, there is another waiting area for you to take your time and find another establishment to patronize. Once inside, Dr. Hawthorne is amazing. She is deserving of 5 stars. Nonetheless, the business is so poorly run so it gets 1 star overall.

Front office staff was pleasant. COVID protocols in place and being followed. Front lobby was clean as was the restroom. Appointment was scheduled for 3:15pm on a Friday afternoon. As of 4:15 still had not been called back. Was anticipated to be another 30 to 45 minutes before anyone could see me. Appointment scheduled was supposed to last 1.5 to 2 hours per email received and confirmed by front desk. Meant I would have been in their office until 6:30pm or 7:00pm. I left.

I've been going to this clinic for years they always very helpful and professional. The doctor has always figured out the procedure I needed and have fixed my eye problems! I will always go back to them, they are great!

I had to take more time off work to return to the clinic because the refraction prescription was really off and wrong. I couldn't even see through my new glasses. The tech acted like it was my fault, and when I requested that an actual doctor do the refraction this time instead of a tech I was made to wait an hour past my scheduled appt time. A doctor did do the refraction this time, but the tech entering the info on the computer couldn't seem to get it right.

This new prescription is so far off from anything I've had before, even from 10 days ago, that I am giving up, and don't even care to deal with that place again. Going to a new doctor to get a glasses prescription that is actually correct. Howerton has lost this patient for good.

Dr. Hawthorne is the finest! Professional, pleasant, thorough, and and very patient when I'm asking questions. She's the finest eye Dr. I've even seen. Would recommend her to anyone!

Howerton Eye Clinic was recommended to me by my retiring previous eye doc. I was thrilled to find out they had a location in Kyle! The whole staff is very pleasant and Dr. Kelly explained my condition thoroughly and was very kind. I've never had to wait long and only a couple of others are in the waiting room. So glad I found them! I recommend him to everyone I know.

Dr. Hawthorne and her staff are caring and thorough. I am hypersensitive about my eyes, making it difficult to measure my intraocular pressure. I much appreciate her extraordinary patience with my flinching. I consider her a super doc!

Great and friendly, professional experience but slow. They tell you to expect a visit to take an hour and a half but it was closer to 2-1/2. I will keep going becaise I trust them and like their staff, but I will remember to allow more time and not plan things after.

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. I am an established patient here. I came back in July for my annual visit and when I walked in the door it was complete chaos during the height of Covid. I had to reschedule because I work at an assisted living facility. There was no temp taking, no social distancing and no sanitizer at the door. Again I work at an assisted living facility taking all the precautions.

Today I took off work two hours early and I don't get paid if I'm not at work so I lost two hours of pay to come to my appointment at 3:30 PM. Upon check-in I was told I would have a two hour wait! I seriously thought she was kidding me. She then told me that Dr. Hawthorne double books her appts every 15 minutes and that this is why it happens. This is all absolutely ridiculous. Somebody should've let me know ahead of time. Now I've lost two hours of pay and need to find a new eye doctor!

I have been to Howerton and I was not comfortable with the treatment. I went to Westlake Eye Clinic. I was asked who was my doctor. I told them Howerton. The doctor looked at her nurse and said, You are the third person today ( that day) that said they were leaving Howerton. Westlake Eye Clinic is much better. Jill Billimek

This clinic is the first listed on my insurance provider's website for Kyle. I called to schedule an appointment for both my husband and myself; and was told they would not see us. They do not accept State of Texas Superior Vision at their Kyle location. The woman who told me this on the phone was condescending and had an arrogant tone. I pay for extra vision coverage for my husband and myself and was appalled at how rude this employee was. I will definitely find another opthamologist to see. In addition, I called State of Texas Vision/Superior Vision and let them know.

I am very pleased I chose to go to Howerton Eye Clinic as a new patient. The facility is beautiful, all of the staff are wonderful, and I received VERY good care. I especially commend Mandy, the assistant, for her excellent skills and personality. Also, I absolutely love Dr. Dieterichs! Very knowledgeable with excellent bedside manner. I highly recommend this Kyle facility for anyone with eye needs.

After a few falls/scrapes, I knew it was time to see an eye doctor. Dr. Hawthorne was kind thorough and gave me hope. A man made miracle. I can see colors again, but more important I'm able to read.

My family doctor recommended a appointment with Dr Berkotitz to have my eyes tested and he was right. the service was great and the dr very professional and even had a sense of humor. there was a problem with insurance coverage but they helped with that as well, good choice if you are looking for eye care in the kyle area
