I wasn't happy about my first experience. I made appt with Jessica a month prior, instead of 24th of May, she made it 24th of October! Unknowingly, I arrived at my appointment just to find out it was scheduled wrong! I was upset, I rescheduled my appt with Jessica again, no problem, she apologized so I was good. I checked in at 3:20ish today and appointment is at 3:45, I'm thinking that I'm good, nope! I got seen until an hour later, everyone and new patient after me got seen, so I complained about it, that's when I got seen smh.

The first visit was amazing. The provider was excellent and his customer service was great. The staff is horrible. Every time I have called I have gotten something different answer. If You get pass the staff you are good but that's if you get the appointment. I'm very disappointed I couldn't see my provider.

Both Dr. M & S Heller are phenomenal physicians/surgeons that deserve all the accolades there are to give. Your attention to detail and your eagerness to teach up and coming practitioners reminds me of Hershey Med in Pa. Kudos to you, your esteemed brother, and your fantastic team of medical staff. 5 stars across the board.

My wife went to eye doctors of Arizona because she had something similar to a stye called a chalazion. It wouldn't go away on its own so we thought that it would be better to have a professional look at it. Unfortunately one of the doctors drained it by using a surgical blade and accidentally cut a blood vessel that won't heal now. She's been dealing with the results for months now.
A month after the procedure we noticed that it wasn't healing and looking worst so they told us we could go in to have the doctor look at it. The original doctor that did the procedure was away on vacation so another doctor there who is his brother looked at it. I can't believe they charged us $50 to have his brother look at it for 5mins and basically tell us that his brother cut a blood vessel and that's why it looked how it does!
The cream that the original doctor prescribed was making the wound itchy and irritated. So when we saw his brother we also let him know that it wasn't helping and instead of helping us out just took our $50 and prescribed the same thing. It's been months and my wife is still having issues after her procedure. I called to make appointment, told receptionist my insurance and they took my insurance number. They scheduled me. First of all, it was not an easy scheduling process, receptionist spoke to me like she didn't feel like doing her job. Spoke to me like she was done with work, when it was barely about 1pm. I went in for my appointment, excited to get my eye exam after long time of needing one.
When I went in, the receptionist had such attitude, she was being kind of rude when talking to me. She looked at me as if I was slow minded. I struggled to pull up my insurance information but I finally did. And I showed her, she then said "sorry we don't take that insurance" but with such careless attitude. I said but I called and told my insurance information and she said "yeah, no sorry" "we don't take that here" just rude. Would not recommend.

The overall experience was good, I have one suggestion not only for this office but all medical professionals. When we fill out forms on our prescription, medical history, etc. Why do personnel ask us the same questions we answered on the application? If you're going to ask us, then we shouldn't have to fill out the forms.

Fantastic customer service! I am traveling from out of town and my flight got cancelled and I was all out of contacts. The woman answering the phone was very helpful and then when my husband went to get the contacts it turns out my prescription from my eye doctor was for daily contacts and so they just gave my husband a free sample as they didn't have any to purchase. Thank you so much for your help and making the rest of our trip so much better!

If you have an eye issue stop reading this and call Dr. Ben Heller right now! Don't wait. I think this is the only Docotor that you should put your trust in, honest open knowledgeable. He put me at ease immediately, having a cataract is a scary thing, but having them in both eyes is traumatic. Other ophthalmologist don't increase their skills and knowledge by having onsite research studies like this office, shows how much Dr Heller cares about his patients. The research staff in particular charlsie are compassionate and caring. I'm so happy I gave him the chance to fix my eyes! Thanks Doc!

If I could give this place a ZERO I would. Takes for every to get information from them on if a claim is processed. Loraina in the pre qualify dept cant give you a reason as to why you were not quailified all she could say was it was denied awe thanks that awesome thanks for the information. I will go somewhere else next time.

Absolutely worst. Dr. Heller is a liar. He tells you to make sure not to operate Heavy machinery and not to return to work. (To both myself and my insurance company) he was Asked for a note and he says it will take him approx a week or 2 to transcribe it. Then when you call he acts like he doesn't remember anything he said. Straight up wacko and will be receiving board complaints for his lie and terrible patient services.

My wife sat there for over an hour waiting for her prescription paperwork. There was nobody else present, not even staff from the office. She said that she could see patient paperwork sitting open on the desk. After waiting for an hour, someone indicated that the doctor wasn't going to see her and that she could leave as they would be sending the paperwork later.
She called and ask that her Rx be sent somewhere so we could buy the contacts. It has now been 3 days of asking and nobody has been able to actually fax the paperwork. They stopped answering our calls.

They were very friendly while selling me these expensive frames but when i received my glasses with my prescription i noticed damage to the frame. So of course i returned them only to be told all they can do is send them back for repair which was fine. Now that i have my glasses i noticed even more damage then before so after once again calling and complaining about these frames i just bought somehow our line gets disconnected now i can't get anyone on the phone.
I spent a lot of money on these glasses and if you wear them you know they don't come cheap. Had i known I would've been treated by people that are careless and absolutely disrespectful i would've taken my business elsewhere. I definitely will NOT be recommending them to anyone i know!

Have been going to this office for more than 15 years. Always friendly, helpful staff! I have had other eye exams, and have had to come back to Dr. Heller to get it right! Always worth the drive, although not close to my home. Clean, friendly and the vision correction is ALWAYS accurate! Waste of time to go anywhere else.

Dr. Heller (jr) was not very helpful, he wanted to perceive steroids without having a diagnosis or being sure about what the issue was. I had to tell him what I thought my problem was through my own research. After several appointments he said he needed to refer me out to another doc this, his office did a horrible job at following up with me, every time I called to follow up no one knew what to do, they acted confused and did not care to call me back to follow up!
I recently found another doctor again, through my own research and when I called to make an appointment they said I had a no show, dr heller's office had schedule something for me but NEVER told me about it. Not only is he not knowledgeable, his office personnel is very unprofessional, wait times horrible and now they made me look bad with another doctors office!

I was sent here for a social security exam. I arrived almost an hour early. I didn't expect to be taken early, but atleast on time. It is now nearly 30 minutes past my appointment time and I am still sitting here, while everyone who was here before me is done and some who arrived after me have already finished. When I asked the lady at the desk, two were politely helping me, not really with answers, but polite, then one got off the phone and just laid into me slightly rudely. If I had any choice over where I went, I would not choose here, and I definitely would have left already.

Today, My husband had his first appointment with Dr. Matthew Heller. Which was a bit delayed and worth it. The Doctor thanked us for waiting and he provided my husband with excellent care. His optician Christina was awesome and was very patient. Both the Doctor and his staff provided excellent quality care. We normally have our appointments with Dr Warren Heller and believe me both himself and his son are awesome. Worth the drive from anywhere in the Valley.

The prescription for first pair of glasses I got seemed a little off so I went back to get my eyes retested because they use an archaic method for eye exams (glasses they put on your face with interchangeable lenses). The Eye doctor basically stood there the whole time during the eye exam explaining how it was my fault that I got the wrong glasses and how he is perfect, very unprofessional.
He then proceeded to give me eye drops that I did not know what for but they ended up paralyzing my ability to focus and gave me extreme light sensitivity (for at least 8 hours). After he gave me the exam, after the drops took effect without telling me what they did, he just gave me my prescription then left the room. I sat there for a few minutes just waiting and he never came back.
So I left and the drive home was the worst because I couldn't wear my glasses due to my eyes really hurting from the drops and the setting sun was stinging. To top it all off I got the new pair of glasses a week later and they still didn't work right. I will have to find a new eye doctor.

Very long waiting times, not enough seats to accommodate all patients in the waiting room. The rest of the staff have been fine, but the doctor was very unprofessional about a glasses re-check. He used a very aggressive tone, kept talking down to patient, he was very defensive and rude to both his staff and the patient I was with. It caused a lot of anxiety and made things uncomfortable overall. We won't be visiting this doctor anymore.

I'd give no stars, an hour wait for scheduled appointment, a dirty waiting area and a completely rude unpleasant staff. As far as Mr. Warren goes, he is an out dated doctor trying to speculate in areas that are clearly not his specialty. Examples : he's not a strabismus surgeon or doctor, nor a skilled ocular surgeon. His opinions are clearly that, opinion.
They should not be used for treatment value, he's only an opthamologist. If you are sent to him for an IME, I'd lie and over exaggerate your systems, he clearly is out to make money and not for the patient, which completely is against the oath he took. Being honest is not going to help you if you meet this man. Also be aware of giving out your ID as they will use it for harmful intent. Don't let them copy it.
I hope this will help some of you, I wish I had read something like this before I had gone. There is a place for people like him and it's called HELL. karma will get him.

Called to make sure that my insurance was accepted. After a couple minutes of asking around the office with out putting me on hold, I was informed they do take my insurance. I take the time to fill out all paperwork then when I show up I was rudely told that my insurance is not accepted. In my eyes I believe staff should be sure of information before passing it along to a potential client.
Lady at front wasn't very kind and it seemed that everything she had to do was a problem for her. If you don't like what you do for a living move on. Staff seemed to not know what was going on.
