Age spots are more likely to appear on people whose lifestyle exposes them to the sun. Over time, the skin loses its ability to repair itself after sun exposure and the spots appear. Age spots appear most often where the skin is repeatedly exposed to the sun, such as the face, hands, neck, exposed scalp, and arms.

I had the worst appointment of my life yesterday. The nurse who helped me (her bame was Sarah) made me so uncomfortable that I could not get myself to relax and pee for my monthly urine sample. I asked for some water and she reluctantly gave me a cup as if that was too much to ask for. After trying to pee again, I asked for one more cup of water and she literally had me take the same cup out of the trash and refill it- as if I haven't spent over a grand at dermatology inc for my treatments.
Her facial expressions, tone of voice, and body language made me feel so uncomfortable and judged that I got more and more anxious and started to feel light headed. She then shoved a blood test at me and told me to go get my blood drawn instead because they had "other patients waiting". There were 2 other patients and more than 3 rooms available. After she raised her voice at me and shoved the blood tests at me, I had to rush to the closest lab and get my blood drawn while I was already light headed, ill, and had tears running down my face because of how poorly I was treated.
I ended up passing out in public a few hours after the blood test because I was so overwhelmed. I also wasn't comfortable with the PA changing my prescription (because he's not my derm whom I usually see and he's not a real doctor). When I told him I don't want anyone but my doctor changing my meds, him and the nurse gave me the most unsettling look and refused to listen to me.
Now I have to call my doctor and get her to change my prescription back to normal. I will never make an appointment at this clinic again and I will never show up to a doctor's office without my own water cup because apparently that was too much to ask for.

This location moved. Took several months to get in for an overall skin checked. Waited in the lobby for 30 minutes past my appointment. I was there 10 minutes early. I was told they had 5 doctors working and they were running late. I was told twice I was the next patient to be called back but saw 4 ppl get called back before I finally left. Will not return.

There are often huge waits too get in to see a doctor as an adult who needed a mole check. So instead I saw P.A. Lauren Fahey who ordered medically unnecessary blood work (which I did not know at the time) that was ultimately not covered by insurance. In an attempt to get a costly lab bill straightened out, I ended up speaking to a patronizing. nurse who repeatedly said the same line to me and would not listen to my concerns.
I felt neither she nor the Derm Inc. billing department cared to help since the money was not due to them. Lessons learned: 1. I need a new dermatology doctor. 2. Always question doctors because they may not have my best interest in mind.

I came here because the other locations couldn't offer an appointment for over 45 days. Now I see why! I saw Andrew, a PA. I would NEVER go back to him. First off, he enters with a quick rap on the door and finds me undressing. The appt was awkward from the beginning as he didn't offer to back out while I covered myself with the paper sheet. Worse yet, he diagnoses me, prescribes a "chemo therapy" lotion sends me on my way all within less than 5 minutes.
He didn't have my medical history or current meds list because I was still filling out. I felt as if I was on a moving conveyor belt passing thru this office and getting about as much attention and care that can be provided as i'm passing thru. The Practice Manager has yet to return my call for my input. I was told by the appointment setter that Andrew double and sometimes triple books, but he is just as attentive as any other medical professional. NOT SO! Beware of a PA that doesn't provide a hand out to explain the diagnosis and treatment and has no idea of your previous cancer or current medical issues!

My family have been patients at Derm Inc for over 10 years and have always paid copays and out of pockets when charged. My company switched to Anthem effective 1/1/19 and my insurance had not been loaded by Shepherd Insurance as of my appointment at Derm. Inc. on Friday 1/19/19 at the Hazel Dell location. The receptionist at check in was rude and. condescending and informed me I could not be checked in until I agreed to the apparently embarrassing status of "Self Pay". Anthem had called the office the day before to inform Derm. Inc. that I did have insurance but my numbers were not loaded. I was still treated rudely and had to self pay. I definitely will be finding a different office that offers better customer service!

I scheduled my first appointment at this location because the one I preferred was booked out 4-6 weeks. I had an emergency, so even though it's half an hour away from my work, I decided to give it a try since they could get me in sooner. The facility was crammed, and the appointments were overbooked. The doctor was running 45 minutes behind and he schedules his appointments in 10-minute intervals, meaning he doesn't dedicate too much time to each individual.
The receptionist looked dirty (her hair and teeth were not clean) and she was wearing vet scrubs, which didn't give me the vibe that I was a professional, private, specialty practice. I was then humiliated by the "nurse" (a young woman in scrubs with no visible identification) when she opened the door and told me I was late as she stood in the doorway and I was still in my seat at the waiting room.
She proceeded to tell me the doctor wouldn't see me due to my tardiness (10 minutes late) and said he was behind because other people had shown up late as well. So not only did she announce all this in front of at least 10 other people waiting to see him, but she blamed the clients for their office's inefficiencies. I left the building and called the main office to make a complaint and was told the "nurse" was a new hire with little to no experience, and that a verbal warning would be given as this was the first offense.
Not only would I not recommend this location, but I would not recommend this business, Dermatology Incorporated. They appear to be a legitimate, professional medical office, but it is really just a business looking to make money and cut costs in critical areas such as professional, qualified personnel.
