I give the staff five stars not the institution itself. The staff that I encountered were extremely kind and wonderful to me. They went out of their way to ensure that I was comfortable and ok even though the situation was uncomfortable. The staff consisted of Veronica and Erica at the front desk of the ER department, charge nurse Ivy (who by the way did an excellent job inserting my IV as I'm scared of needles), Nurse Noelle and nurse Shannon. The hospital wait was nearly almost 24 hrs but these women went above and beyond their job to ensure that I was well looked after. They all deserve the WOW! award!

I went in for a mammogram. The process to check in was easy. The mammogram portion with the technician was pleasant. She was very personable. If I was only rating the mammogram portion, I would give it a 5. I gave a 4 rating because the greetings/personabilities of the check-in and registration desk personnel left much to be desired. It's felt like it was a strain and took every inch of their beings to be pleasant.

This is a terrible hospital! Staff is always extremely rude to patients. They don't follow hippa regulations. The cdc should shut this place down I witness three people walk in without mask as well as when I asked if they had any automatic hand sanitizers versus the ones you have to touch a employee I believe a security officer told me there's no hospital with hand sanitizer station that you don't have to touch which is a lie this would be the first one that doesn't have the hands free.

I stated that wasn't sanitary and I was told "OH Well" by staff then they proceeded to speak about me complaining about the hand sanitizer. This was extremely rude and this place is disgusting. ADD on I've been here since 2pm it's five others in here that came in after me and none of us have been seen at all. It's now 5:38p and I just got called to triaged for my vitals. The Registration lady KAREN was extremely rude as well!

I agree with the reviews here. This place is awful. They lost a family member's hearing aid and lied about it. They don't answer your questions. They are dishonest and unprofessional. They discharged and elderly patient with dementia alone to his home. Told the ambulance driver someone was at his home to help him. Sent him home by ambulance with nothing but a hospital gown not even underwear. Its 35 degrees outside. Please pin a note to yourself in case of emergency do not take me to this hospital

This has to be by far the nastiest most unprofessional hospital I've ever experienced. My husband was rushed to the closest hospital after falling out at work on 11/11 from the moment I stepped foot in this nasty hospital I couldn't believe how it was being operated. My husband sat in the waiting room 45 minutes after being checked in by EMS.

They had the security guard taking people to the back & asking who everyone was & going back to the desk to have the patience seen. The security guard was also calling names which was very confusing. That's usually always done by a nurse. They ran not one test on my husband & before taking his blood they stuck him 11 times trying to get blood, didn't bring in one specialist or another nurse you can properly get the IV in my husbands arm or hand without constantly stabbing him with no result.

At this time my husband was in a patient waiting room that had multiple random chairs which the one my husband in was broke. So I ask him to be moved to the next seat over the security guard said he couldn't because they were assign seating. I asked multiple time could I speak with my husband's nurse or the head nurse in charge. The nurse behind the desk said that my husband nurse had left and he was getting ready for X-rays.

I said a X-ray for what no one told me or my husband about any X-ray why didn't they run it by us, no one had answers. My husband said I'm really thirsty, my mouth is really dry look up and he's connect to a empty IV bag that's extremely dirty & cloudy. So I reported it, they ask me to finish registering my husband the lady ask who I was to my husband, I said his wife she said are you just saying that or y'all are legally married.

Still being calm but taking note to how I was being treated, I then again ask to speak to the head nurse in charge. The registration lady told me she's knows nothing about that because that's not her job and to wait. The security comes back in and says your husband is ready to be checked out. I said I was just told they were running X-rays and no one came back to assist us.

Mind you I spoke to the security guard more than a actual doctor. I go back to the front desk and said can someone please tell me what is going on because at this moment I was ready to take my husband and go regardless if the issue was handled or not. Keep in mind my husband couldn't even walk and was completely in and out of it. The front desk said we're waiting to take blood samples, I'm thinking we've been here for 3 hours and y'all haven't yet.

Then the security guard comes and get me & said I can no longer sit with my husband who couldn't speak for myself at the moment and I had to go back to the lobby. After waiting 20 minutes I go back to the front desk and ask for answers they said your husband is waiting to get his prescription to check out, so I said prescription for what no one has told us anything then security guard then comes out and tell me I can no longer wait in the lobby because of covid and it's patience only and that she'll call me once they have a update in my husband and this is where I lost it!

Still Not being disrespectful but telling that I wasn't going anywhere until I spoke with the head nurse in charge. I wait 5 minutes and a nurse by the name of LISA came out I told her exactly what went on and that when a nurse handed her packet and said see this is what's happening to your husband. I said with all do respect Lisa anyone can read from a packet and say what the issue is I'm explaining to you my husband and I weren't even told that much and he's the patient. LISA responded it's a stomach bug what do you want me to do.

At this point I'm in complete shock! Mind you we have the best insurance"LITERALLY" LISA has a very narcissistic, nonchalant attitude. She comes off very insensitive. I told Lisa she was an asshole and left went to another hospital and come to find out my husband kidneys were bad and he was extremely dehydrated and had a temperature of 105 and his blood pressure was high 180/120 the doctor kept him. I called my lawyer immediately!

Bad Reviews are not something I look forward to leaving but this experience should not occur to another individual. I believe we can all impact every individual we are around by the experience we give them. I attended here on August 6, 2021 with my mother (65yrs) and niece (6yrs). They both was involved in a rear-end car accident out of state while on their way to Georgia.

They started to feel some pain on the next day so we attended this hospital. After six hours of waiting, they were seen to be told something very inconsiderate by Dr. Eugene Harris. The doctor mumbled that "with all this COVID, they did not have to come here and could have taken a Tylenol" then walked out of the room seeming upset. The doctor never greeted my mother or showed any real concern with the pain.

The doctor proceeded to prepare the discharge paperwork. They did not receive any X-rays. My mother was so in shock and immediately informed her children. Had I known we would have had this experience, I would not have attended this facility. I expressed my concern to three ladies at the front desk who was very helpful and accommodating with the matter but unfortunately it was not much they could have done.

I do not despise the doctor as a result of this but it is only fair to express how one made another feel so we can do better. This is unacceptable for any human being seeking help and guidance to endure this experience in addition to what they are already feeling. Yes, COVID is top priority but it should not rule out other causes and illnesses experienced by mankind.

I fully respect and honor the work being done by our Medical professionals during this time as it is not easy. As a concerned daughter for my 65yr old mother (who has other medical issues) and 6yr old niece, I just wanted to ensure their health and well-being. We attended another hospital out of town and received quality service with everything although they still had long wait times. Similar situation but different customer service from doctor. This should not be and we have no interest in returning if I don't have to this facility.

I gave birth at this hospital 3 weeks ago. Let me just say the labor and delivery floor is under staffed and it shows. At any given time if they have 2 or more emergency C sections they start panicking and other patients may not get the attentive care they need. I was here for 5 days so I literally met almost all the nurses on various shift. Some are attentive, patient, caring, and overall pleasant.

Then you have those who do not want to be there, impatient, frustrated and irritated easily. They provide basic ice and water if you need it. Other than that don't expect too much. Overall I give this hospital a 4/10. And I more than likely would not give birth here again. I do want to commend the mommy & me floor. They took excellent care of me and my newborn.

Micheal is horrible at the triage desk! Make sure you let someone else pass your chart along because he didn't give mine to the nurse. I ask a few times about my wait because I saw people after me in less pain going In. I got there at 10:11am only to find out at 8:30pm my chart never went back. He hid my chart on purpose because he was Annoyed that I asked for updates.

The second shift came in and I ask what was my status she couldn't find it, so she searched for my chart and it was under some other stuff On the desk. Then he lied on the paper and said I didn't respond 3x so they took me off the waiting list. I only used the bathroom once, and checked back in as I came out. I left at 8:30pm had to call the ambulance outside the hospital to figure out my status of my heart.

I never got treatment or seen so I will go to my PC tomorrow! If you can go elsewhere people was waiting for 8-10hrs. Bring breakfast lunch and dinner if you do choose to go here!

They misdiagnosed my father, told him he had pneumonia, and they had him on antibiotics for 2 days, never did the MRI like they said they would, my father stay there 2 and a half days, he died there, after they gave him a diuretic, which caused his lungs to become blocked, his cause of death was ruled 24 gr pneumonia, we did an autopsy, he DIDnt have an ounce of pneumonia in him, he had a blood clot In his leg.the diuretic caused it to move and blocked his lungs, and he passed, this is the death hospital dont go there ever, U HAVE BEEN WARNED.A NEW NAME DONT MEAN ANYTHING.I WISH I COULD TAKE BACK MY ONE STAR, THATS TOO HIGH FOR THIS SORRY HOSPITAL.

I wish I could rate this facility a 0. This is the worst hospital. The staff is not friendly, they are lazy and nonchalant. I went in by ambulance. Was having trouble breathing to the point of almost hyperventilating. Had a lot of fluid on my lungs and in my chest. They gave me a breathing treatment but I'm not asthmatic. They admitted me due to very high blood pressure readings.

I was in a room on the 4th floor directly in front of the nurses station. I was in that dungeon for 5 days. There was a serious lack of communication between doctors and nurses. No one knows what services should be granted to the patient. They roll the computer charts around but apparently the information from the doctor to the nurses gets lost. Most of my stay the nurses were asking me what I should have for treatment.

They gave me a chest X-ray and was giving me 2 antibiotics intravenously each day. When I asked if I had pneumonia or bronchitis, the cardiac doctor said they didn't know because I had so much fluid. They decided to treat me with antibiotics just to be safe. 2nd day they said I had pulmonary edema and congested heart failure. I am partially disabled.

I have to use a walker for mobility. They never offered me a walker. I was stuck in bed with a catheter which no one could fit properly. I would wet myself and forget trying to get someone to assist you. I would call the nurses station at least two or three times before I could receive help. The urine tank would practically be ready to spillover before someone would empty it.

The room had a tv with no volume and it would change channels by itself. The nurses said they were calling maintenance. Maintenance finally showed up almost 24 hours later. He said he was bringing a working tv. Never received it during my stay. The bed did not elevate the feet so the fluid I was retaining in my feet and legs was just sitting there.

The doctor assigned to me did not directly answer my questions regarding my condition. He would avoid me and my family's concerns by telling jokes and quickly rushing out of the room. The nurses were unprofessional. They would come in and discuss patient information. My room was only cleaned twice during my 5 day stay. I was supposed to have a heart stress test.

The cardiologist said one thing regarding the process but the day of the test, the nurses were saying there was no test scheduled and I was going to be discharged. An hour later someone came to start the process. I was fed up with the nonsense and no communication between staff members. I refused the test. I decided to have the test done outside of the facility.

The assigned doctor as well as the cardiologist became angry at me for not having the test. They blamed me for listening to the nurses. I do not recommend this hospital to anyone. I wish they would investigate the complaints. Really need to shut down.

The emergency room service suck! I been here since 4 am it is now 11:48 and I am still in the lobby waiting to be seen. So much for an emergency. I guess you have to be halfway dead to get fast service. Not to mention when you ask about a wait time they say they don't give out wait times. I finally got to the back after 2 to find out that they misplaced my paperwork so they reprinted it and had to retake my vitals that were took at 4 when I got there. My day at the hospital finally ended at 6pm. 14 hours at the hospital was never in the agenda. Worst hospital I have EVER been to in my life.

I've been here over 4 hours and counting waiting with my little brother who came 4 hours prior to me showing up. The service is slow, the hospital lacks hope and life. Healing encompasses energy and this hospital is dead. The saddest aspect is that there isn't another hospital to service this community for another 30-45 min commute via car. Having such a poor quality hospital service at need people is "typical" but not right. Invest in Healthcare!

My daughter and grandchildren were involved in a motor vehicle accident. She wanted to go to Grady but they refused her request. My daughter was transported to this facility complaining of chest pains, back and neck pain and hip pain. She was never seen by a doctor, no one ever did a complete medical history, or any know allergies. They did X-rays and EKG.

Not once did a doctor come see her. They gave her 3 prescriptions a pain pill and sent her on her way. They never asked her if she had a way home or if she had a ride. They released a patient to go home on a narcotic. She was walking home. Now, I called Risk Management yesterday and left a message no response. Called again to day goes straightforwardly voicemail. Called back asked for the CEO and left a message. Let's see what happens now!

The appearance of this hospital is disgusting, Dirty and the Staff could not give a rats ass about their patients. Maybe I'll report these conditions to the Department of Health? Please do not ask me to remove my review, it will NEVER happen!

Been waiting here for 3 hrs for someone to draw my blood because I am experiencing bleeding and cramping. everyone one looks tired and if you ask them any question you get a look of Why are you asking me anything. everyone talking on the phone while transferring blood and other medical equipment. Nurses just sitting as if they have nothing to do like go around and ask patients can they get them anything. people coughing profusely in the E.R and wasnt directed to get face mask. this is crazy.the only one they move for is Tyler Perry when hes doing one of his many shows here.ridiculous.and we not even going to start with the EMT.and before someone says it's a strenuous job it dosent take any energy for you to be nice or cordial to people.

It doesnt take anything for you to greet a person.point blank period update: Still here phlebotomist finally got here to draw blood but she did not no what she was doing she stuck me and no blood came out. I suggested to either change the vaccum tube or hit the vein that I told her in the beginning to go far. So I hit her with you dont suppose to thread because you didnt hit a vein in my Antecubital Fossa (area in the bend of the arm) that threw her for a loop like oh snap she knows what I'm doing.and then she takes the needle out without taking off my turniqit and dosent cover the needle with a gauze before exiting out of my arm. If OSHA saw half of this.smfh #nobodyWants2DoThereJob

Minor league. Most of the certificates and diplomas will get you a job barely above minimum wage -- not worth the wasted time and effort. And if you're going for an actual college degree, do yourself a favor and study at an actual college, not a technical college -- most SRTC faculty and staff are semi-literate, at best. It's no place to learn how to succeed at a real university.

This is by far the worst ER I've ever been too and I've seen some bad ones. I have been here 6 hours and have yet to see a doctor. I've seen 2 people go back. The staff is standing around and not answering questions. Who is the administrator of this facility? They need to be shut down immediately. I will be making a complaint with the state and notifying my insurance company. This is ridiculous and I will never come here again!

I would not recommend the school to anyone. In my experience with the school the instructors do not help students who need help, the advisers will not help you if they do not like you, namely Bryant and Kirkpatrick. The doors will be locked on you because administrators don't feel they should have to hear students out even though their policies are supposed to be open door.

The instructors degrade students telling them they are insignificant they're supposed to be transparent and have also been noted to tell students to get their panties out of a wad when asking for study guides or help with the study material. their policies are mainly broad and very vague, open to interpretation by the administrators and are enforced at their discretion.

So if they do not like students they will discharge them when they so choose. Telling them they can appeal, but then giving the student no further help with this process. Favorites are easy to distinguish. In my experience the students with money, who had smug attitudes and acted superior to the others were treated better than the rest. Cliques were prevalent. Instructors didn't do anything to help this though, even when allegations were made against other students, such as threats being made etc. Instructors refused to investigate these allegations or to validate them.

They simply escorted the student off the campus even though the allegations turned out to be false. So in a sense. Students who didn't like other students were allowed to prey on people because their social group was larger and they had more support All in all this school values its "professionalism" But it doesn't produce quality nurses, it produces cutthroat cookie cutter nurses who act like high school girls.

Not to mention there were between 300-600 dollars of unexpected fees each semester. Policies such as their "drug card" policy which students were forced to sign and that stated students had to turn in extra credit prior to their pharm tests. However, if u didn't turn it in, or if there was a single card missing, you weren't allowed to take your test, essentially taking 100 points from your grade.

This failed so many students our first semester. I will say the one redeeming quality this school had in my opinion was the empathy and care the other instructors had. Benton, McCutchens, coworker, all excellent instructors. All excellent in clinicals. They truly cared about students if you put in time and got to know them. If you went to these instructors they would show empathy even if they couldn't help you.

I personally witnessed someone who pulled up having issues with breathing and the nurse took his time to walk up to help her. I also witnessed an Elder come in with HIGH blood pressure and had to stand in LINE for a couple minutes before he had to FIND a seat. The wait is TERRIBLE There's NOWHERE to sit or to lay if you are in bad shape or in the process of dying.

Grab your BLANKETS and PILLOWS because you will be there for atleast 8-9 hours before being seen by a doctor. The security guards are ANNOYING and HARRASSING. They will follow you around like you're stealing something. TAKE THIS ADVICE and find another Hospital If you are on your way there now make a U-TURN! If you are there RUN! If the nurse says they will be calling you soon, LEAVE! Or make sure you have LIFE INSURANCE

Terrible. I'm here with my father now, who came in with severe chest pains last night. After 3 hours IN THE WAITING ROOM, my sister asked when he would be going back. The answer: 6 hours. That's 9 hours in a waiting room with chest pains for a person who has a history of heart attacks and recently had 2 major surgeries: 1 for cancer and one on his spine.

He was finally taken back and admitted, but he's still sitting in the emergency room. Why? Because they're short-staffed. I'm sure they'll attempt to charge him for a room, but.20 hours in.he's still on a cot in the ER. No one seems to be in a rush. No one seems to care. There is no reason for us to EVER come back to this hospital. If you can make it somewhere else, GO THERE!

Suffering from severe back pain, my mother went to Southern Regional Emergency Room (ER at Upper Riverdale Rd.) on Wednesday night. They wheeled her into a hallway and left her for some time. They took CAT scans of her back and decided she had a "pulled muscle." They gave her a shot for the pain (which didn't really work) and sent her on her way Thursday morning at 6 am.

She remained in pain and went to Eagle's Landing Clinic on Friday. Trying to work her in, they took too long, so she wanted leave. Saturday morning at 3 am in severe pain and nausia from pain medication, she went to St. Joseph's ER. They did a CAT scan and found that her vertebre were an issue. She was admitted to the hospital. St. Joseph's tested and found that she had three (3) fractured spinal discs, which they fixed by kyphoplasty surgery.

They stabilized and prevented the discs from breaking. So, Southern Regional completely misdiagnosed back pain and my mother had to go to another hospital to get properly treated. Given that St. Joseph's ER diagnosed her problem in about 2 hours and gave her effective pain medication, I rated SR two stars.
