The Skin Group in its current form was created in 2003 but has been practicing in Louisville, KY, since 1997. We are a full-service Dermatology practice including General Dermatology, MOHS Micrographic Surgery, and aesthetic dermatology services and products. The Skin Group is committed to providing complete dermatology services to help our patients maintain optimum skin health. The Skin Group offers a full line of aesthetic services performed by our highly trained and experienced professionals. We're also proud partners with the Alle and Aspire Rewards programs.
The Skin Group offers a wide variety of Medical Grade Skincare that our providers recommend for life-long skincare and beauty. The Skin Group currently carries products from ZO Skin Health, Revision, Elta MD, Neocutis, Colorescience, SkinBetter Science, Glo Skin Beauty, Glytone/Avene, TIZO, and Latisse.
Any portion of the charges not covered by the patient's insurance carrier must be paid by the patient. This "patient portion" is due at the time of your visit if you have a deductible associated with your insurance plan. If you are unable to pay your co-pay, you must reschedule. Because dermatologists are considered specialists by most insurance carriers, co-payments are generally higher than a primary care physician. Many insurance carriers consider dermatologic procedures "surgical" procedures and therefore different from an office visit.

Rude e service, denied biopsy and told it would make things worse and infected with scaring. Just tells me they do not want to do so you keep coming back instead of finding out what is really wrong. 2 and 1/2 years with no resolution nor confirmation what is causing the problem, for all I know I could have exema and not getting the correct treatment. However, I was instructions to go find someone else to treat me.

I called the SG second, after not feeling very welcomed by the first practice I spoke with over the phone. The receptionist at the Skin Group was very kind when answering my payment questions and taking my info. She even found a cancellation and was able to get me in the next day. When I arrived, Victoria Faulconer (PA) and the team that assisted her were incredibly helpful and so kind.
They were great at explaining the steps of my procedure and answered all of my questions. I really appreciate a friendly medical staff. It makes the experience so much more comfortable. I would recommend this group to any of my friends and plan to be back!

Be weary of the Open House specials. The presenters will offer you deals to sign up for and fail to mention the no refund policy. Even during a global pandemic where every dollar becomes more crucial to your family and finances. They will refuse to work with you and simply offer you in store credit only. Rather than trying to help you in these extenuating circumstances, they would rather hold onto your cash than treat you like a human and have any chance at a return customer.
I highly recommend avoiding this business simply based on these ethics alone. My wife is currently unemployed and we are down to one income which has added additional strain. If they will not consider the well being of your family in times like this, they are only concerned with getting your hard earned money. RUN and don't look back, find a better and more caring business that will treat you like a human and not a dollar sign.

The Skin Group is a great place to go when you need to have anything done. I've been going there for years. The staff is nice and very helpful. Victoria is the best! She takes her time and listens to me. She is also very attentive and checks you from head to toe when you go in for spots you might find. I have always received the best care there. Be warned. I have tried unsuccessfully for several months to get my account straightened out. Only went there once and actually liked the doctor but not worth all this aggravation. Took my medicare card and also my Anthem medicare supplement card with me and pictures were taken of both cards. Every time I got a bill I called and left messages with billing with both card numbers and told them to file with insurance. Had to leave messages because it is rare to get someone to answer phone.
On the FOURTH call I finally got someone to answer and was told my balance was zero. Now I have received a letter from a collections agency! VERY VERY poor billing system. I just called to cancel my f/u appt. NOT WORTH ALL THIS HASSELL. FIND SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO DO BILLING AND INSURANCE CLAIMS!

The BEST dermatologist group! Getting in to be seen is always so easy- especially with 2 locations. Everyone is very nice and always quick to help. The providers at both locations always answer any questions and always make you feel comfortable no matter what you are having done. I travel an hour to come here and I never regret it.

Im so excited to have found my favorite Dermotologist EVER! I had been seeing Shannon England for many years. As well as taking my children to see her for various reasons. When I called to make an appointment a couple years ago and found that she was no longer with the previous practice and I felt lost. I was so excited to find her with the Skin Group.
I knew it had to be a great place for her to be a part of it. After a few visits for myself and a couple for my children/that are now young adults. I love this office even more than the previous one! They are on time with their appointments, friendly and helpful staff. They get you in and out and ALWAYS help fix your skin problems! I highly recommend the Skin Group and especially Shannon England! I had my first visit at the Skin Group at Brooks office, they were very thorough and professional. My husband has been going there for years and they found melanoma on his shoulder. He had surgery in June and is doing fine now. He is very blessed to have found out this early thanks to the Skin Group. Everyone should be checked, I know we will from now on!

Of all the dermatology offices I've used, The Skin Group is by far the best. Shannon England is my Dr. and she has a fantastic group of girls who work with her, AND they're all from Texas, what a win-win I am scheduling treatments with Janelle soon and I couldn't be more excited. Shannon is so personable and makes you feel at ease, which is hard to do when you're being cut on or examined. She's kind and professional and I have given numerous recommendations. The pricing is also very reasonable. Thank you ladies for all that you do!

I have had great care and so have my children. The staff is friendly about my schedule and give several options for appointments as well as locations. I know it is a hassle to update info every so many months or when insurance changes but it is worth them having the right info to start with so I do not get a bill later. Love the group!

This place has gone above and beyond my expectations for a dermatologist. I avoided going to the dermatologist for 7 years after a dissatisfied experience with a different one, but Shannon and Janelle have completely turned that around for me. They LISTEN and care, and take their time. My skin has never looked this good in my life and I'm so thankful I found the Skin group!

Extremely bad experience! Running late for a 2:10 Appointment called to let them know due to downtown traffic and construction. Arrived at 2:22 and was told I was going to have to reschedule because we were late. Mean while a woman seated in the waiting room had been waiting for over an hour and she got there early. Stay far away!
