Though the facility is outdated and not the most comfortable, the attentive and kind staff makes up for it tenfold. The bedside manner of the doctors, nurses, and other staff is excellent. They go above and beyond to care for their patients. Any issues or discomforts I had were immediately resolved. I was seen quickly in the ER and transferred to a room when admitted in a timely manner as well.

My wife had surgery here and the experience was consistently positive. The pre-operative nursing team was friendly, gave explanations, and were thorough. The anesthesiologist and surgeon were all very engaged, answered questions, and took their time reviewing details. The security officers were friendly and professional as well.

Update: Just had two derogatory remarks added to my credit even though i have 3 claims on my insurance from this visit and they are mostly paid. So they billed me several times and apparently didn't file on my insurance properly or fraudulently double billed me for God knows what. I am a disabled veteran and also have private insurance through my employer.

I have over $3k in claims on my insurance, most of which was paid, and they put first a $1300 something charge then another $600 something. So that is another $2k for doing absolutely NOTHING. They should be sued, but I don't have money for an attorney. I mean. I genuinely think they teach ER doctor's in school how to misdiagnose patients and gaslight them.

This may be TMI but it can also help someone so oh well. I came in because I've been having pain and bleeding from my backside. On this particular day there was more blood than normal (actually no bleeding is normal but I digress) so I went into the ER. It turned out I was having bleeding in between my cycle that was also abnormal but I told the doctor multiple times that the reason for my visit and me freaking out and thinking it was coming from "elsewhere" was because of the immense pain that was NOT under any circumstances menstrual.

He proceeded to do a pelvic exam and run a pregnancy/sti panel on me even though I am married and on the pill. Thankfully I am a veteran and was able to schedule an appointment with a VA doctor because I ACTUALLY had skin tags "there" very likely from Crohn's disease and am being scheduled for the colonoscopy that I desperately need. The doctor was terrible and told me I was likely not wiping properly even though I have been wiping myself for over 30 years.

I would say they are worthy of 0 stars but the nursing staff was pretty great and surprisingly I was in and out much faster than I thought I would be. So kudos to the rest of the staff at OSU med center for the star they earned.

If you want to know what OSU Med Ctr is like you can watch the movie "White Coats" with Dan Aykroyd. It is a comedy. Unfortunately there is nothing humorous about OSU med center! It is a crying shame. The movie is about unscrupulous doctors and inept interns who could not get into the better hospitals. OSU MC is the worst hospital I have ever had to endure.

Had to give one star to rate. Deserves a -10. I will NEVER set foot in this hospital again. I was treated like dirt the second i came in on the gurney from the ambulance. Humiliated, left exposed on the table with my pants down, Unable to move or walk or pull my pants up. You know who you are jennifer! Nurse was rude, unkind, mean even. Horrible bedside manner. Slapped my hand down to the bed because dr asked me a question and as i was explaining my hands were gesturing. Slapped my arm down, told me to stop moving. Hateful looks the whole time.

Turn back on me every time i spoke and walked out on me. Staff stand out in hall and loudly dissing patients or gossiping about friends. I could hear everything they said about me. And i let them know that. Just looked at me hateful and said "what" then walked out. Saying "i" wasnt going to keep her here past her shift, and that i wasnt even trying.

I couldnt stand or walk. She half *$# placed a bed pan under me wrong, wouldn't help me with my pants and when i said it wasn't under me all the way and i was going to wet the bed she says oh well, it happens! And it did get on the bed and i sat in it for 4+ hours. No water given. Shivering on gurney on top of plastic pull mat til 1:30 am. I am filing a complaint. Going to kick me out even though pain still not managed and unable to walk until i told dr that what was the plan?when i cant get into car or out of car at home and cant get into house as i came in on ambulance because cant walk, when realized she would be liable if i fell she said could suddenly keep me but i finally just left in excruciating pain regardless of my condition because i didn't want to suffer any more abuse.

And i was alone back there. When asked them for my husband to come help me for my protection was hatefully told "NO! Walked out on again. Update! Landed in St Francis next day and had emergency spine surgery because there was a serious issue! They could have seriously caused more damage.

OSU USED to be a good hospital I spent a lot of time recovering there in 2009 and 2012 under Dr. Dieners care and they literally saved my life surgeries, er, wound, blood transfusion the whole nine yards. Then in 2020 of course during COVID (NO EXCUSE) when I got sick with what I now know is multiple autoimmune disorders and still untreated thanks to time lost and still testing because of my Dr there didn't believe me or bother test me for. This places only shining star for me so far is my pain management Dr. Khattab he's stuck by me and help me through this and the only reason they get 2 stars.

I cannot give this place more then two stars. I really want to, but I just cannot. My wife was sent her from OUS OBY due to developing preclamsia. The docs tried to induce early but failed. Then my wife's BP dropped and they did an emergency c-section. Our daughter was born, but had issues breathing and eating. OSU sent our daughter to Saint Francis NICU for treatment.

Staff were friendly and caring, but they did not communicate very well with one another. Wife's c-section was clean and healed nicely. So the reason I am giving them a 2 star is after two weeks in the NICU, the staff there think our daughter was born way earlier then 37 weeks and that's why she's having all the issues. Also the lack of communication and slow reaction times when my wife called for them are why I'm giving them 2 stars.

I've had one experience with melanie hadgbusch and she treated me like I didn't matter. There is no telling how she treats the rest of her patients. She is not intelligent, and deserves less than one star for the way she treats people. She was telling me about her personal problems and not focusing on her job. I would recommend firing her. Maybe then, she can see just how important other people are.

After sitting in Glenpool ER for 6 hours yesterday with extreme back pain and feeling uncared for we left and went to St. JOHNS they said 5-6hr wait so we called OSU not only did you get us in 2hrs but due to my level of pain you let us wait in the car. Everyone was good to me when we got in and when I left I was no longer feeling pain. Ty! I had spent most of my day crying so getting to sleep last night with no pain was a blessing!

I wouldn't say it's the prettiest hospital but atleast they have staff and got me cared for in less than 3 hrs cause St. FRANCIS in Glenpool was horrible. Covid ruined hospital care in most places.

Like so many others, I wish that I could rate this facility 0 stars. I presented to the Emergency room this morning as a transfer. The facility was dirty and the nurses were rude to say the least. There has been inaccurate recorded information placed in my medical records that need to be revised or removed ASAP! Although I left the medical center, there were no papers signed by me in regards to leaving "AMA, " but that is also on the doctor's notes.

The doctor did not do HALF of the things he wrote in his notes, I.e. no physical exam, did not tell me a time that the technician would be in to see me, nor did he or any nurse counsel me on leaving. When I asked the nurse how long I would have to wait she said, "Well you just got here and the ultrasound technician couldn't leave her home until you arrived." She said, " the tech is on the way and it should be 45 minutes from the time you arrived." She called the triage nurse to check my check-in time.

Once she received that information she told me, "well it'll be any minute now." I told her I had been waiting over an hour at this point and I drove from Muskogee. She said, "you drove here?" I informed her of my pain and tiredness. She then said, "well just go take a nap and they'll wake you up!" The physician only came in once. The nurses were so busy laughing and on their phones, they never came to my room to assess my level of pain.

The patient next door was yelling some disturbing allegations and I never heard the nurses get up to console that patient either. I asked for my transfer paperwork, and began to walk out. The other nurse began shouting, "well should I tell her not to come?" I continued to walk to the exit. She then said, "well I guess I should since you're being so rude!" There is now mysteriously an appointment scheduled at the time that I left the facility(seems so convenient).

I do not recommend this facility for any level of care, especially emergent care. I would like someone from Patient Advocacy to contact me immediately regarding my experience. These issues need to be resolved before escalation ensues.
