Horrible service. I walked in on my last breathe. I have asthma and bronchitis and instead of putting me on a asthma machine to receive a treatment immediately. they had me fill out paperwork.give urine and I'm still sitting here waiting after 15 minutes. And still waiting. At least at Downstate they bring you in.they give you one treatment so that you can feel better.and then they bring you back out to do your paperwork

Absolutely terrible, bottom-shelf acute rehab facility. For anyone with a moderate traumatic brain injury - you're better off going home and receiving less frequent care at home if covered by insurance. Facilities are dilapidated and in shambles - gyms lack any modern equipment, most equipment is barely functional. Doctors, especially residents, aren't particularly knowledgeable about traumatic brain injuries; they don't stay up to date with new perspectives and research in the field and aren't accommodating of patient self-advocacy for innovative treatments. Do NOT go come here - it simply isn't a place where people heal or get better.

If I had more money, I would sue everyone that worked on my father and, probably killed him. They sent my family up to see him, they were expecting to speak to him, and our father was in a body bag. The nurses and doctors didn't say anything. They lied and said that they called us, they did not. I am going to send complaints. I wish I could have this place investigated, everyone fired, and removed from this country if possible.
It hurts to think that the nicest man I've ever known was treated poorly by these heartless creatures. This place shows that not all nurses and doctors are heroes. Some of them are overpaid, rude, and could careless about the people who entrust their lives to them. We asked the insurance company if he could move. I wish we would have been able to do it sooner.

If I could give a zero I would give 2. BIG FAST WASTE OF TIME! Waited for 3 and a 1/2 hours before I finally seen a nurse. So after X-Rays came back the prettiest doctor with the nicest green eyes tells me I have two fractures on my right hand. Which is going to take 3 months to heal and at least 6 weeks of pain. Then goes on to say she will not prescribe me nothing for pain just because I want my insurance to pay for it.
If you sick, in pain, and and need medical assistance. Before you go to Kings Brook Jewish Medical Center. Please go to the Morgue First. I promise you You'll get better service there.

Was send for rehabilitation after a stroke that left me unable to move on my entire left side. There are good visiting nurses and some Compassionate Pct/CBA. The room I was put in has paint peeling from the window frame and the drop down ceiling is open so the railing to hold the curtain is off. The bathroom in The has very dirty floors and black mold growing all around the floor. There is no way to take a shower since there is rarely hot. Have only had 1 bath since I got here in May 25, 2021. In conclusion this is not a place for a human being

My mother in law is a 69 year old Brooklyn resident who tested positive for Covid. She was admitted to Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center for 10 days and is now traumatized by the treatment she received. The doctor was very good but the nurses on staff treated her terribly! She was spoken down to, the nurses rushed in and out of her room and showed her no compassion what so ever.
When we called and complained about the treatment my mother in law was getting from one particular nurse, that nurse went into her room and yelled at her for speaking up about her treatment. In the ten days that my mother in law was there, she has no television. The door to her room was closed at all times and she had no access to a window. We called everyday to speak to someone about getting the television in her room turned on but it wasn't until a week had past that they finally told us that because she was in an isolation room, the technicians can't go into her room to fix her television.
She has never experienced as much isolation in her life. She felt like a criminal, locked up in a room, unable to walk out, mistreated by the staff and not even a television or a window to help her pass the time or help her feel normal or connected in a hospital that's old and dirty, with roaches crawling across the floors in her room. She killed 3!
The social worker assigned to her was terrible. We called and left a message for her and when she didn't call us back, after several days we called again. When she answered the phone she said. "What do you want? You already called and left a message. What do you want now?" I'm not a social worker but I think maybe the social worker is there to help coordinate patient care and address concerns.
It seems like that is the least of what they do in this hospital. At least not until the patients are being discharged. Then everyone wants to be helpful. Don't go to this hospital. Don't send your loved ones there. It's a shame because the doctor was nice and he was good to her and invested in her treatment. It would have been nice if I could say that for everyone else there.

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. The doctors are good the CCU staff is great especially the volunteer from other states that came to help out 5 . That nursing staff on the 4th floor are the laziest Nurses I ever seen. They walk past the patient like there nothing all they do is sit on the butts behind the desk. You would think seeing me come in there with my uniform and see that I'm a health care worker they would show better treatment to my family members. I hope whoever there nursing director is she really check on her staff and hope she better than them. My next step is 311 and nycdoh. I cannot except this.
