I can't give less then a star or I would have, my dad went here on emergency for a bowel obstruction on March 7th 2022, he was dead on March 19th 2022. The care here from doctors is terrible, and before his death his cell phone was stolen, they were removing fluids from his stomach for almost 2 weeks, when they should've done an emergency surgical procedure, my father is dead cause of there incompetence, he was fine a week before and talking to me, the doctors here do not care!

They care about there paycheck and so does the hospital administration, I remember a time when doctors actually did care and would go above all means to save a life, my dad was 65 and had more years to share with us. I don't recommend this hospital if you want to live.

I also forgot to write, that there are totally sick people, just walked to my room. Only God knows maybe he has COVID-19 or on drugs. I also screamed & yelled at him, not to come in. The nurses don't do anything. Imagine you go to the hospital with one problem, but going back home with all of them. Please choose the right hospital. Search a lot on Google & Please read the reviews. Be safe. .

We had mostly positive experience with doctors at Maimonides. The billing/financial operations at this hospital, however, are nothing short of racketeering. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but its the closest word I can think of to describe our experience. We were in network and had been taking a child there for regular treatment. After about a year, office visits that typically came with a copay of $30 rocketed to $200 $400, even $500 per visit.

Nothing had changed. No medication change, no change in office visits, typically about 20 minutes. Our insurance company said the hospital was using different billing codes every time. We approached Maimonides. Each call was a walk through a maze. We could not resolve the issue. We did pay the bill believing that we would be able to rectify it as we continued our attempts, and we didn't want to interrupt treatment or be turned over to a collection agency. However, after we paid an erroneous bill, every response we got from the hospital was "Well, you paid once, just keep paying." Our doctor was shocked by the billing.

She said she's never seen anything like it and tried to connect us with the proper person in billing but every person was the same. The only response was to demand payment. No review, no pursuit of why the cost of our regular visits jumped 1500%. Lastly, and this is minor of course compared with the racketeering we experienced, the check-in process is a nightmare at Maimonides. Minimum 20 minutes with each visit if there was no one in front of you.

If there is a line, you're going to be in it for 30 to 40 minutes. If you have any other options for medical care, I highly recommend you take it. We moved on as soon as possible, despite the risk of doing so to our child.

Honestly the one star is for the nursing staff here. They are kind and helpful. Highly over worked due to short staff but they manage. That said, medical treatment here is absolutely horrendous! My grandmother had different doctors give her different directions for the same procedure in the last few days. 90% of the time no one knows the answers to your questions. Seems like charts are hardly updated and absolutely NOONE COMMUNICATES! Would I recommend anyone come here absolutely not!

Dr. Orry Erez, the orthopaedic surgeon at Maimonides hospital was phenomenal. He is an excellent orthopaedic doctor and takes well care of all his patients. He performed both of my knee surgeries & did an excellent job. He truly cares for his patient. I have recommended him to all my family members that need orthopaedic work done & we all wouldn't choose any other doctor.

I wish I could give this hospital 0 stars. Do not go here unless you have a death wish. The nursing staff are disgusting. My grandfather who has dementia went into the hospital for COVID and due to neglect of the staff he fell and broke his hip, needing emergency surgery. We were not even alerted that he fell, my grandfather with dementia was the one that told us. The staff is rude, when you need them they don't come for hours. I blame this hospital for his decline.

What supposed to be a simple surgery killed my father he was only 51. Everyone in that stupid hospital didn't give him any care. They left him to die. Thank you for living me alone with no parent. I hope and pray everyone that was apart of my fathers surgery to die

What was suppose to be a happy memorable moment for me and my wife's first born turned out to be one of the most stressful, unpleasant experiences ever! Disrespectful staff and you pretty much on your own in that hospital. Good luck getting any sort of help there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I REPEAT I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Even if you live a block away from there avoid going there!

Maimonedes Medical Center is well known for treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Center is not very spacious yet provides quality services and employment to surrounding communities. Pediatric ER lacks enough space but still provides effective service. Doctors, nurses, administrative staff and technicians were super friendly.

Maimonides billing department called us to delay my mom's surgery due to my mom has 2 insurance cards. New York health department told me they violate public health rule, hospital should cooperate with insurance company to collect bill instead of calling patient to delay/cancel surgery. Thanks New York health, so I would use this law to argue with hospital /primary doctor to let my mom's surgery done!.

When I filed complaint, the patient relation center said my mom's surgery is finally done! It's nothing to complain, it's my mistake due to I didn't call billing department to negotiate. If health department don't tell me this regulation, my mom's surgery must be delay by hospital. All right, hospital is always right! Whatever patient has money, no money, has insurance issues or no, please don't try to delay or cancel surgery without solution. It's a moral standard.

My daughter had surgery last week. This is because of the choice of surgeon. This hospital is AWFUL. 6 nurses to 26 post operative patients. Because they ordered the wrong hardware for her surgery, the surgeon was incensed and had to see which hospital he could get his needs from and so instead of a 7AM surgery her surgery didn't start until after 12:35PM.

As a nursing mother the delay meant dehydration which no one was concerned with. Thankfully my daughter is herself a healthcare professional and had to ask for IV hydration. And even with this there were errors. No bleeding of the line, and when the bag was done she had to close the tube. This is a TRAVESTY! This hospital is a DANGER to anyone that goes there!

One of the worst hospitals I've ever been to, staff is lazy and incompetent in ALL departments, staff does not follow covid guidelines, i made an appointment for a vaccine and still had to wait in line for hours. Horrible horrible service, overall incredibly unorganized hospital. Do not go here. I would give this 0 stars if I could they deserve to be shut down

The pediatric emergency room Doctor's nurse were nice and kind. But the room we we're waiting in was very dirty and had bed bugs on that bed. the hospital was very filthy in the emergency area we did not see even one person coming to clean during await that took us 5 hours in the hospital.left without one test result. You We're so excited to get discharged and freaked out to carry on the bed bugs around to home. unbelievable how the TV and medical devices and screens seemed to be wiped down with an filthy mop. They need patience to donate some sanitary wipes

Worst Labor and Delivery experience. Never enough rooms Dr didn't wanna induce even when my wife had crazy contraction. We tried talking to the Dr and the Dr refused to come have a conversation with us. We where send home 3 times already because there are not enough rooms. If there is not enough rooms it's already called FAILING. ( It's worth traveling to go to a smaller hospital they treat you much nicer)
