A routine exam won't provide some of the measurements and testing that are required to determine if your eyes are suitable for contact lens wear. You'll also need a specific contact lens prescription for an exact fit. Scleral lenses are a specialized contact lenses that make contact lens use possible for many people for the first time.

I am a new patient but probably will not visit again. I was there to see if my prescriptions changed. I signed a few forms before the exam. There is one form for wellness screening and it was not clear. If you are also a new patient, be careful- they mandate the digital fundus imaging OPTOMAP and will charge you $35. So if you do not want to do this and get extra charges, move to another place.
The funny part is that they have a check list, one for OPTOMAP, one for this plus an advanced tech and one to decline the advances one. I did not check the first and second but the third as I was thinking that I did not need any. While the receptionist is probably new? or tired to talk with me? she was so quiet and did not communicate with me, point out that I should check the first choice because it was mandatory or tell me ahead that I will owe money because of the mandatory test.
So I was surprised by this at the end. While I was fine to pay since I have some responsibility. I was still hurt by the people there, the manager, receptionist and another staff. They were blaming me for this and this made me really angry. I felt that this place is kind of cold for money, not for patient. So here is the review and score. Hope other people know and have a better experience and hope they change their confusing form.

This eye doctor practice changed ownership and it has gone downhill. I have been a customer of this location for probably around 15 years. It WAS excellent. However, after what happened today, I will NEVER go back. I had an appointment scheduled at 10am on Friday for my annual check-up. I scheduled the appointment well in advance. I received a reminder phone call from Northlake Eyecare Associates on Wednesday and also a reminder text from them on Thursday, both confirming my appointment time. However, when I showed up for my appointment, the woman at the front desk claimed that she tried to call me to cancel the appointment because the doctor could not come to work that day.
She said that she could not reach me because my phone was "disconnected." My phone is not disconnected and I received a confirmation phone call and a confirmation text from them, so clearly they had the correct phone number in their files. I suspect that the woman at the front desk didn't actually call me and, instead, they completely disrespected my time. This place was awesome under the old ownership, but it is chaos under this new crew and I will not be going back.

I highly recommend this practice for regular eyecare. I did not have the wait long for my appointment, even though I was fifteen minutes late for my scheduled time. This was my follow-up appointment for Dr. Patel to check my new contact lens for fit and acuity, which she did quickly and efficiently.

Was very impressed with Dr. Warstadt. The first time in 30 years of wearing glasses that someone took the time to explain and describe what they're looking for, what to watch out for, and show me images of my eyes. He thoroughly explained various contact options for me as related to my moderate astigmatism. Highly recommend!

The professional and administrative staff are all friendly and service oriented. I particularly like Dr. Sonal Patel as she displays a very personable demeanor and knows her stuff. She is thorough, attentive, patient, upbeat, energetic, and simply exudes competence and a great "bedside manner." Gene Barger

Love the doctor and his folks, bottom lines they takes care of me and that's why I continue to go back yearly. Doc Warstadt is so cool and I'm 56 and he gives me that old time doc feeling as he never rushes through my eye exam and when I have questions he breaks it down plainly so I understand what's going on with my eyes. Best service and eye doctor in Atl.
