Services
Our physicians and advanced practice providers are committed to providing the best care to patients and their families in the communities we serve. If you or a family member were seen in a hospital, emergency room, or post-acute care facility you may have received a bill from Sound Physicians. This bill is for the services provided by the clinician that delivered care.
Sound Physicians recruits, develops, and retains highly-engaged clinicians and strong physician leaders. We tailor our service delivery model to improve outcomes for patients while enhancing throughput for hospitals. Our approach combines high-quality clinical staff with proprietary technology, management rigor, and proven, evidence-based clinical workflows to drive measurable outcomes.
We partner with both national and regional health plans to improve clinical outcomes for their specific patient populations. We deploy value-based care interventions from the point of admission and offer telemedicine capabilities to extend our hospitalists' reach into post-acute care settings. Acute episodes of care are responsible for 50% of health plans' total cost of care.

I had the same problems as everyone else with their billing. They really need to go to seminars on how to bill or classes or something. They keep sending me a bill for an er visit for 100% of the cost, but I have great insurance that will pay almost 100% of it, but they keep sending me the bill saying that I don't have coverage, but my HR manager has verified that I do have coverage, so he had to ask my insurance to contact sound physicians to ask sound to bill them properly so they can pay it. This is ridiculous.

I wish someone from this company would investigate where my payment went for my husband's ED visit in February that they cashed and it cleared 4/24. I did what I was supposed to do when I received the bill in the mail. I sent in the payment and documents requested and it's obvious someone else's account was credited. Because my dead husband did not respond to their phone call, the total bill was sent for collections.
They could have mailed a letter first but chose to process it this way. I have not been able to get anyone in this organization to respond and follow through. I have a copy of the check that they cashed. People who go to St Mary's ED are subjected to their questionable billing practices. Beware of this before you choose St Mary's hospital and Sound Physicians Emergency Medicine in Tucson.

Never go here if you don't have the correct insurance. They never told me upon the visit, after showing my insurance card, that I was out of network. This was not found out until after numerous bills came, conversations back and forth with insurance, and also after I was sent to collections. Sound Physicians does not have competent employees in their billing office. The hospital staff may be satisfactory but everyone in billing and insurance is not.
