The Berean Community and Family Life Center is a much needed staple in our community because our area lacks adequate health and social services. They have been able to transform lives, a few persons at a time; making a lasting impact.

Services
Since 1989, the Berean Community and Family Life Center (BCFLC) has been addressing the needs of the congregation of the Berean Baptist Church and the members of the surrounding community. It has provided employment training and job placement, summer youth programs, senior citizen services, affordable housing opportunities, and food pantry programs.
The Berean Community and Family Life Center has received grants to conduct education and outreach projects specifically tailored to the needs of our community. These grants allow us to provide culturally sensitive information, support groups and testing for HIV/AIDS, to organize walking groups that mobilize community members to increase physical activity, and to develop family health and wellness programming that encourages improved nutrition and eating habits.Each year BCFLC executes a community-wide event, where over 300 children and families come together to celebrate the end of summer.
For the last 11 years, Berean Community and Family Life Center (BCFLC) and the Berean Baptist Church has hosted its annual "Takin' It To The Streets" Block Party and Health Fair. At the annual Health Fair, BCLFC aims to bring people from the community together to raise awareness of health and wellness issues that disproportionately affect communities of color in a non-threatening and welcoming atmosphere.
