Your eye's lenses are comprised of mostly water and protein and that protein can bind together as we age. This clump of protein forms a cloudy area over the lens making it difficult to see. By age 60, nearly half the population will have at least one eye affected by a cataract. Cataracts develop slowly over time and are painless.

For patients with cataracts in both eyes, a Monofocal Intraocular Lenses may provide the most benefit. A monofocal IOL is an intraocular lens with a fixed focus for one distance. A cataract doctor may select monofocal IOLs that are for near focus, for mid-distance focus, or for distant focus. Only one of these three can be selected and the focus will not change after surgery.

What a complete waste of my time. I told the call taker one thing and when I got there found out almost an hour into the appointment, the call taker got it wrong. Geez. Then they wanted to dilate me. What I was there for didn't need that but even after I explained why I came they still wanted to do it. No. I can have my other records sent over but I didn't need another dilation this year. Why won't anyone listen. Won't be coming back. I went there for help and got deaf ears.

I had both lens replaced in my eyes. Let me say, these people hustle, are extremely professional and check and recheck and recheck to make sure everything is correct. I was in and out. I have never had such a great experience with an eye clinic. They seem to really care and do their jobs well. FYI, vision is perfect! Highly recommend. Dr Conley is top notch.

I was sent there in November they removed cataract in left eye December 9 and was going to get left one around the 18th. I was told would only need reader glasses after surgery after surgery was told I would need to get prescription for glasses. After the first one I went in for check up. I told them the eye they did things are smaller and waivy. The doctor just kept saying its healing good.
So I cancelled the second eye surgery. Went back to my eye doctor and now been told I need to go to some other specialist. I am 64 and have never had any kind of surgery I was planning on working till I'm 70 in the printing business but now wish I never had surgery.

Buyer beware! I had corneal crosslink surgery done with Triad. The surgery went off OK. The documentation for at home care stated one thing but when I went to the doctor for my first follow up they told me that document was wrong and I needed to continue taking one of the medications. If the documentation is wrong why give it to patients? The rest of the after care was also less then adequate.
Each one of my follow up appointments was rescheduled and pushed out multiple weeks. I didn't think anything was amiss until they were calling to reschedule an appointment (yet again) and let me know that because I was out of my 6 month window I would need to pay a copay. I was pretty angry that the reason I was out of my 6 month window was that they rescheduled the appointments multiple times I also realized then that none of the hundred pages of required documents provided mentioned this. I'm guessing this is how they are able to pad their bottom line id by pushing these out so that you have to pay more.

My lens's surgery was truly amazing! The surgery center runs like clockwork! I can't say enough how happy the surgical aspect has gone. However, the follow up appointment system is a mess. I have been for four appointments one each week and every time I have waited 45 to an hour to even get back! On average a simple vision check follow up with no problems takes About 2 hours! If you decide on triad make sure you designate at least that much time for each follow up appointment. I hope they fix this problem bc it a great facility.

My husband had a severe eye injury from sulfuric acid and was referred to Triad by the ER for further care. The ER physician called in advance to let them know we would be coming. Upon arrival, my husband was unable to open his eyes and was shaking he was in so much pain. It was a work related injury and we were informed they don't do workers comp.
I said I would just pay out of pocket and was told they would not see him because they "didn't want it to come back on them." Not entirely sure what that means, but I was informed by another eye clinic that REFUSING to see an injured person in distress is in fact illegal(not to mention unethical and cruel). Triad could not care less about human beings suffering. I am sure there are wonderful doctors here, but they work for a crooked company built around selfish and unethical monsters.

My vision turned out amazing! The surgery was flawless and easy. Wish I had done this 10 years ago. My advice is to be sure to research prior to the free consultation, bring your medical history & a list of every prescription, supplement, & over the counter medications you take, prepare all your questions to be ready on consultation day. It is not easy to talk to a doctor or nurse by phone they get paid for their time obviously so you have to ask these things by appointment. The technology is cutting edge and recovery was quick.

Hack job! This place is awful. Dr. Abel operated on my amblyopia eye three times leaving me with horrible uncorrectable vision. I had really good eyesight before but didn't realize it because I was 19. I was only wearing glasses for the muscle correction because I have amblyopia. He talked me into Lasik and ruined my life forever. He promised that I would never have to wear glasses again which was a complete lie because I was only wearing glasses because I have weak muscles.
Not only do I have a weak muscle still, I also have blurry horrible vision that is uncorrectable. I can't see street signs, I have dry eyes, I get horrible headaches from eye fatigue. I do believe my life would've turned out completely different if I would never of had the surgery. If only I had someone telling me not to do it!

Stay away from this place! After having major eye surgery at Triad a couple of years ago, my wife recently showed up for a follow up appointment only to find out that they had moved across the street without informing her. Already late for the appointment, they refused to see her because she had inadvertently left her insurance card at home. So, she scheduled another appointment for January 17th.
We found out today that the doctor had decided to terminate her as a patient and canceled her appointment for 2019 - because she had "missed" her appointment (which was not true). What an unprofessional way to do business! We are looking for a new eye doctor in Tulsa.

I am preparing for cataract surgery at another facility (Kansas City) and needed to obtain records from a Lasik surgery in Joplin eight years ago at a facility that is no longer open. The doctor was associated with Triad but had since retired and I was pretty sure tracking down the records would be a wild goose chase. I left my information with Tiffany and didn't really expect a call back.
To my surprise, she proactively tracked the records down in Muskogee, coordinated the release form, and got the records mailed to me. Communication was fast, professional, and proactive. While I didn't get any service from Triad, the fact that they went to this effort for a non-customer was a welcome surprise. A+ for service. Thank you.

DO NOT BOTHER with this health care provider. I was referred to Triad by my optometrist, who submitted, via facsimile, his referral. Never heard from them. I called asking about my appointment and was told they would call me back. Never heard from them. My optometrist finally called and asked them to call me. They finally did after two days of this. Went to my appointment--everybody very nice and seemed to know what they were doing. Scheduled surgery, was told an RX for eye drops would be called to my pharmacy that day and paid for the surgery by credit card. Went to the pharmacy over the weekend--no prescription called in. Called the pharmacy 4 days later--no prescription called in. Had message at home (rather than on my cell phone--which is the number I provided for calling) saying that my surgery had to be rescheduled. Called my scheduler and went over my list of complaints and that I felt they had really dropped the ball--more than once. Was turned over to Angela, the practice manager--left another message.
She NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I called and left Liz a message stating that they needed to cancel all appointments and give me a credit on my credit card. Liz called and said everything had been cancelled and they would be mailing me a check within ten days. Oh no--I need a credit TODAY! All of this leads me to believe the following: Triad is a VERY poorly managed provider.
They are nice but provide abysmal customer service. For a manager to get a complaint and not call back says a lot to me. Then to want to issue a refund for a credit card payment via check tells me they have cash flow problems. One question: Are these the kind of people you really want operating on your eyes? Unfortunately, this website does not provide the rating I would give Triad. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

I don't typically leave reviews but the way this company treats its patients is appalling. NEVER waited less than an hour, once waited 2.5 hours for a scheduled appointment. Developed an eye infection after surgery but was told I would have to wait 3 days to see someone at the clinic because the office had "triple booked" appointments for the next 2 days. I'm all about making money and it seems this company has the monopoly on surgical eye procedures in the Tulsa area but it appears that once they get paid they couldn't care less about their patients eye health.

Finally ready for lasik surgery. Always wanted to go to Triad because my boyfriend had gone there years ago. After all the bad reviews I guess I better not go there. Called my friend to find out where she went. No reason to sit in the waiting room for 1 1/2 hours then wait in the room for the doctor to show up. Sounds like the scheduling procedures needs a lot of work. Then, if you get charged extra money & they can't call you back with details. Needs some training in the billing department. My opinion to better stay away from Triad Eye Insitute.

I have always had a good experience with Triad. The facility is clean and organized, the staff is friendly, and the physicians are astute and detail oriented. Dr. Kumar is knowledgeable in his field and takes time to explain treatments and review possible issues while addressing any questions. I did not feel like the consultation was rushed and I was happy with my results. Dr. Kumar also administered injections himself which I appreciate. I will be back to visit for my cosmetic and other eye issues.

My husband had lasix with Triad in January 2017, now he cannot see out of his right eye. After paying over $4,000 for eye surgery this not very reassuring of their ability to repair vision as they state. The most troubling part is that in the paperwork it states that if we have any problems in the future with the eyes that the appointments for follow up will be included in the price of the surgery.
When contacting for an appointment regarding his eye they are asking for his eye insurance and saying they are unsure if it is included in the cost. When calling to try and get more information about this you are only passed on to voicemails. Read all reviews before you make a choice about your eye care.

At the recommendation of my optometrist, I set up my free consultation for LASIK surgery with Triad. Upon arrival I noticed the parking lot was empty. I quickly verified my day and time and proceeded into the office. The only other person in the waiting room was a woman with a small child. I went up to the desk and gave my name to the front desk receptionist.
I was given a clipboard with paperwork to complete. The paperwork had my name but someone else's complete medical information and personal information, including their date of birth. Once I noticed the error I brought the paperwork back to the receptionist and told her it had someone else's information. She stated it was mine as it had my name on it and attempted to return it to me.
At this point, I became uncomfortable. I then filled out the correct paperwork and sat down to wait. A woman sitting next to me mentioned her concerns over the wrong paperwork and she was uncomfortable as well due to that error. Her appointment was scheduled for 2:40 and at 3:20 they called her into an empty waiting room. My appointment was at 3:00 and at 3:30 I got up to ask how much longer would the wait be.
The receptionist said when they were done with the prior woman - maybe an hour longer. It appeared they only had one person doing the consultations as the waiting room was completely empty. I decided to go with my gut, cancel my appointment and walk out that door. The receptionist did not seem surprised. How could I have trusted Triad to perform surgery on my eyes after that experience?
Who was the one letting the doctor know the specifications I needed? Would I then wake up with someone else's eye prescription surgery? I have contacted my optometrist to let them know about my experience so they may hesitate before sending other patients to this place.

Triad Eye Institute has the most amazing staff! They really care about positive patient outcomes and they always try to accommodate you by scheduling testing and procedures according to what is most convenient for you. Dr. Conley is a truly talented surgeon who puts his patients first. I highly recommend them to all of my family and friends.

Had cataract and follow up surgery done. No complaints with the actual process and people involved. However, I cannot recommend them due to their billing procedures. Since I had not met my deductible and would not meet it with the follow up procedure I was told I had to pay in full up front which I did. However, around 6 months later I got two additional bills for a little over $250.
I called 6 times and left messages, because I could never get to a live body, to try to find out what these were for. They never had the courtesy to call me back. Ultimately, I received notification it had been turned over to a collection agency. I went in in person to talk with them and was told they would check on it and call me back. They did call back and leave a message but all it said was I owe it without any further explanation.
Once again I called them to try to find out more and once again no return call. While it is not a lot of money, if they do this to me who else are they doing it to. I would not recommend them to anyone. If you do go there, make sure you get everything in writing.

I was referred here for eye surgery by Dr. Connelly. I am impressed with Dr. Connelly and the actual surgery process ran very smoothly. The one star rating is for the follow-up appointments which were in a word, rotten. First day post-op appointment was at 8:45 didn't see the optometrist (surgeon doesn't do the follow-up) until 10:10. First week post-op appointment was at 7:50.
At 8:20 still had not been called back so I left and will not go back. I am assuming that the timeliness problem is pervasive and does not apply only to post-op appointments. If you want several unnecessary hours off of work and think that your time has no value, then you'll really appreciate this place.
