What I want to see accomplished in the practice of medicine today is a freedom of choice that allows people to be presented with all healthcare options before choosing which path to take in their individual care. We all need to be active participants in our healthcare and the only way individuals can make informed decisions is when doctors spend time with their patients.
I want to see everyone achieve true health. Not just masking of symptoms with unnecessary and harmful medications. True health can only be achieved through prevention and the use of natural approaches which are gentle, effective and affordable.

I cannot recommend Dr Cabin to anyone for any reason. I recently accompanied my 79-year-old mother to his office (just weeks shy of her 80th birthday). Upon arrival it quickly became clear that Dr Cabin had it out for my mom. During the visit he angrily railed several personal insults her way, leaving both of us stunned. He accused her of being selfish, self important, and unkind.
There was much more, but they were such personal hateful insults that they require tons more detail and context. At the end of the appointment he scribbled down her referral (on a PRESCRIPTION pad), charged her $160 and told her never to come back again. Here's the thing that's important to understand, my mom is none of the things he described her as being.
She's very kind, warm, generous, lively and smart. If anything, my mom has gotten better with age. No one deserves to be treated like this by their doctor, but my mom even less. One last thing needed to be emphasized: he said all this right in front of me, while I was holding a notebook and pen. I was a witness to this. I shudder to think how it would have gone down if I hadn't been there.

Dr. Cabin is outstanding! We have been using him as our family's primary care doctor for close to 15 years. Dr. Cabin is a small practice doctor who really cares for his patients. He listens to you to ensure he gets a full diagnosis while also treating you in a way that best suits your preferences. He doesn't just prescribe things unnecessarily. He will take the time with you to look at all the options available both traditional and nontraditional to try to address any health issues you have.
I feel like I can trust his judgment completely. He is not rushed like conventional doctors. Imagine actually having enough time with your doctor to get his full attention and not have them in and out of the room constantly. During our initial visit, Dr. Cabin spent over 1 hours with me, helping to address any concerns and looking forward to make recommendations for my future healthcare.
This amount of time is not even heard of in most doctors' offices anymore. Dr. Cabin truly wants to be your health partner. When you have your appointment with Dr. Cabin, you go sit in his office/exam room (not traditional), and he spends the time to evaluate you properly. His great staff takes your vitals prior so he has everything he needs before you start his visit.
His office is run professionally and a more relaxed environments. Both my wife and our 2 children (5 and 7) use him for everything from ear aches to joint pain. My wife has bad knees but has worked with Dr. Cabin on a treatment that did not involve surgery, building the knee joint back up. This has been a success and allowed her to be more active including kickboxing!
When a family member came down with shingles, we were fortunate enough to get them in to Dr. Cabin, he was a lot more helpful than the urgent care they had gone to prior and helped their recovery tremendously. While he doesn't accept insurance, this doesn't really matter. His rates are very reasonable and with most insurance plans, you can simply bill the insurance company as out-of-network.
Imagine knowing what the visit is going to cost you when you go to your doctor. Seems so simple but not typical these days. And there is never any doubt you get what you pay for with Dr. Cabin. Given the medical environment these days, I am so thankful we have a doctor that we trust and know has our best medical interests at heart!

I have frustrating and weird long term health problems. Dr. Cabin works very hard to help me figure out what is going on and how to treat it. Although he does not accept insurance, his office rates are very reasonable. Dr. Cabin seems to really care about me and my health. I would recommend him highly, especially for those with autoimmune diseases or those who have seen many doctors and have no answers.

I consulted with Dr. Cabin because of some major issues, including breathing difficulties. That's the topic of my review. Dr. Cabin examined me and focused on the area under the sternum where I experienced a painful feeling of "always being constricted". This had forbidden me to breathe deeply for over 2 years. I couldn't do any heavy physical effort without being totally out of breath in just seconds, and could hardly tie my shoes without passing out for lack of oxygen. Dr Cabin applied a osteopathy maneuver to the area.
This lasted about a minute. It's been about 2 weeks now: the sensation of constriction and the pain when breathing deeply have totally disappeared! I feel completely free of breathing deeply (actually I have to re-educate my body to breathe deeply). The pain is completely gone, and when I bend over to lace my shoes for instance, I have no feeling of being choked.
Major change in comfort level! I also want to share that I find Dr. Cabin a very compassionate listener. MDs usually treat you like you are ignorant and don't know what you are talking about. Dr. Cabin does exactly the contrary! What a refreshing approach! :-)
