Staff was incredibly kind but the dermatologist was sooooo unhelpful. I have a number of skin concerns on my face and expected to become educated on what was taking place and how I could properly treat my areas of concern. She gave me five minutes, tops, and sent me off with a prescription to solve the problem with ZERO education as to what was happening with my skin/ other treatment options!
I waited months for this appointment! She used nothing but scientific terms to tell me what was taking place, even when I asked clarifying questions to try and better understand. she could not be bothered to help me or answer any questions about my son's eczema. He was in the office with me and I mentioned he had a pretty severe case of eczema with one particular rash looking near raw and she ignored that comment. WHAT? This is why we come to you? So unimpressed. So unhelpful.

All that I can say is that Dr. Kimberly Edwards is one of the nicest Doctors I have ever been to. I get nervous going to the "skin Dr." as I had a bad experience with our Dr. back in New Jersey. We recently moved here to North Carolina and my better half made my appointment at Dermatology Associates. Dr. Edwards and her people made my immediately feel comfortable and relaxed.
When they asked me questions and had a personal conversation I felt like they really cared! My checkup was thorough and everything was explained to me in a gentle, respectful, professional personal way. I am so grateful that I have someone I trust and like a lot for this part of my health care. I am a retired former business owner and I really felt that I had to write this for anyone who may feel the way I did. When I go back to see Dr. Edwards I will certainly be more relaxed as there were no surprises, and again everything was explained so calmly. A true professional! Thank you!

What an amazing Dermatologist office! They are quite the team of professionals. Give them a call you will speak with perhaps one of the sweetest, friendliest, most delightful and personable receptionists I've spoken to at ANY office. She really knows how to provide top notch customer service. Thanks Sandy!

Love this dermatology office! (I left my last dermatologist due to the length of time I wasted in the waiting room ~ every time! The last time was the last straw, when I was left naked, with my paper blanket, in the exam room, for 2 hours before I saw the doctor for all of 5 minutes)! At Derm Assoc., both Dr. Hardy and Dr. Escaravage takes the time to talk & ask questions. The best part ~ I just left with hot coffee, which I fixed in the waiting room when I arrived! They are always quick to get you in & out, efficient and very helpful.

I had been a very long time patient of Dr. Donahue. Over the last couple of years I have been seeing Dr. Hardy. I have always been happy enough with her; however, after my last visit to this office I am looking for a new dermatologist to take care of my needs at her suggestion. I had a 10:30 appointment. I had some errands I needed to run that morning on that part of town so when I got finished, I went to the office early (10:00) knowing I would have to wait a bit.
To my surprise I was taken back at 10:15. I thought they must be running ahead of schedule. At 10:30 I heard Dr. Hardy take a patient in the room next to mine (where I had been sitting with only a coverup for 15 minutes), but I thought oh well she must have had the appointment before mine. Next thing I know that patient left, another went in, and then Dr Hardy took her ahead of me even though by now I have been sitting there with only a coverup on for 30 minutes.
So I peeked out the door and asked the girl that brought me to the room if Dr Hardy realized that I was in the room waiting. I heard her tell Dr. Hardy that I had asked if they realized I was still waiting to be seen. So here is the kicker.instead of apologizing for running late (by now it was right at 11:00) Dr. Hardy walked into the room and says.
You do know your appointment was for 10:30 don't you? You were here at 10:00 o'clock. Then she proceeds to tell me that if I want an office that runs very efficiently that I should find another office! But she continued to say that I would not get a better check up than she would give me. I have thought long and hard about posting a review about this office, but this happened several months ago and I am still shocked at the attitude and unprofessionalism by Dr. Hardy.
Everyone I had spoken to about this also thought she was very unprofessional. So in closing, although I have been a very longtime patient at this office I will be taking Dr. Hardy's advice and will be finding another dermatologist that I am certain will give me and excellent examination without the attitude.--there are plenty to choose from. The only reason I gave the office two stars is because of the office help.

If you are only wanting a dermatologist to take 2 seconds, look at your face, and prescribe you expensive creams without addressing the root problem, this is your place! For being so highly educated, I read more more about my skin condition than they told me in 2 visits combined and I am a college student. They are obviously in a rush, and the appointments take about 10 minutes. Again, really great if you don't really want a holistic and thorough approach to your skin and how to make it better. The woman I encountered at the check-out counter had an attitude both visits, for no reason. I actually would give this 0 stars if I could.

I'm just really disappointed with this office. I have mild alopecia and eczema. Dr. Marie Hardy didn't listen to any of my concerns, or really run any test, lab work or biopsy to see what the problem was and just assumes the hair loss and eczema was pcos related. I have to travel all the way from Fayetteville NC to Wilmington NC, only for the doctor to look over me and prescribed me skin cream that I can get from the VA!
And then travel back from Wilmington to Fayetteville. Again, she is not treating the alopecia which is what the referral was originally for! I also arrived early to my appointments but am usually seen last! I have to leave Fayetteville, NC at 8-9am for an 11:00am appointment. Why schedule me an appt at 11:00am and then not see me until 12:45-1pm?! This is one of the vendors contracted under the Dept of VA. This is how they are treating their veterans! If I could give them no stars I would!

I have had acne problems my whole life and they are now under control thanks to Dr. Holly Shaffer! This office on the whole is great, clean and very courteous staff. My skin was doing so well that I went a few years without seeing Dr. Shaffer, but when I recently went in inflamed she knew exactly what I needed to fix it and my skin started improving the next day with what she prescribed me. I would highly recommended this office, because they are the best derm I have ever seen.
