I am traumatized myself after the treatment I received from the staff here. I have worked in medical before and this is the most cold hearted I have been treated in my entire life. My spouse was in an accident and air lifted to the hospital. I had to drive from Phoenix to locate my son at a police station, make sure my kids were safe with family, and locate and pack up belongings where the accident occurred.
It took me hours to locate the hospital my spouse went to. I told the ER on the phone I was getting there as soon as I could. I missed my husband by a matter of 5 minutes of being transferred to the trauma unit. They said I had to go get a hotel and come back at 10am. I asked for a nurse to in person or with a phone call let me know what was going on.
I was completely in the dark of why he was being admitted or what was going on. They gave me the trauma floor nurses phone and I called asking to have that nurse get on the phone. They took my number and had my spouse call me. He had such a bad concussion he couldn't tell me what was going on or where he was. I had to have him buzz his button and force the staff to get on the phone to update me what the heck was going on.
I feel this was unacceptable I had to take matters into my own hands to make them talk to me. I have a right to have a 3 min conversation with staff about what happened. This is in human what they did to me. Refusing to talk to me was unacceptable and unheard of in the medical profession. I asked for public relations to come see me in person while he was admitted or call me and they never did so if your response is to leave me their phone number to call them that wont work. I cant complain to a department who never had the time to make it right either. I will just contact the CEO to complain directly and file a complaint with the medical board.

Worst experience of my life. I came in with my daughter, 3, who was triaged as possible appendicitis. She was in pain, had fever, throwing up, etc. We were brought in get her vitals, they didn't check her abdomen or anything. We have currently been waiting 6.5 hours, it's 1015 pm. There are others that have been waiting for 8 hours with a 2 month old.
At this point my daughter was exhausted, cranky (heck I was both) kept saying she's better and wasn't complaining of pain anymore, we left. I understand you take the more urgent first, but after 6.5 hours, come on. not even one nurse to come during that time and check up on us. Also I asked for a blanket it was cold, I went up to one of the ladies at the front desk, I started talking, she put her hand up to stop and pointed me to the other man.
Mind you, she wasn't on the phone, she was talking to her friend about her boyfriend. Ps We never got the blanket This is the worst hospital I have ever had to deal with. This has to be fake reviews of the "5 stars"

My girlfriend went to the ER recently and I've got a few gripes to be honest. The staff had mixed bedside manners with some being kind and compassionate and others that seemed like they had better places to be than with their current patient. While my girlfriend thankfully didn't have anything life threatening, it took a hot minute to find out. Also, while I get that there are a ton of different OTC medicines, the last nurse recommended ibuprofen for the pain dispite it being unrecommended in the disdischarge papers because it could make her symptoms worse.
We found that out the hard way. While it could have been better, I wouldn't say it was horrible. She did get the care she needed in the end and some of the staff had great bedside manners. I will give a huge shout out to Debbie at the outpatient clinic for her efficiency and kindness!

Horrible rude staff and treatment. Treated me like an old homeless woman after being brought in as a trauma from the airport. Told my domestic partner to go back to Sedona as they were admitting me. He said they were vey rude to him. I retired from MDanderson in Gilbert and have worked 30 plus years in Ultrasound, so I know patient care. They didn't answer call buttons.
At 4:30 I had to ask for results. Which the nurse got wrong so I had her recheck and she was wrong. I have worked in Radiology for over 30 years and I knew she was wrong. And why do you have to ask for results and they are given by a traveling nurse who can't interpret a radiology report. Kicked me out at 5:30 am without clothes because they were cut off.
Finally found some scrubs so showed me the door with blankets and a bus pass. I don't live there where am I supposed to go and refused to call a cab. Told me to go to the end of the hall and take a left to the waiting room. Worst treatment ever. I know 2 other people who have been to that hospital and have experienced the same treatment. Worst hospital ever do not go there.
They refused to call a cab so I ended up going to waiting room and calling a cab. I went to Holiday Express where they treated me like a real human and the best. This hospital should be ashamed of themselves and their treatment.

I can't say enough good things about FMC! Especially the CVICU! My husband had open heart surgery at the end of March and due to subsequent complications he was there almost 2 months, most of it in the CVICU. The staff, especially the nurses could not have been more kind and caring during that time. They were extremely professional and took wonderful care of both my husband (and me) during his stay.
He also spent time on the 3rd floor and in the regular ICU and the staff there was also excellent. Doctors, nurses, patient care technicians, respiratory, lab, chaplains, cafeteria staff and even janitorial staff always took time to make sure that both of us had anything we needed. He is now home finishing his recovery and we are most thankful to your entire staff!

If I could give no stars I would. They allow people to use the ER like a hotel and detox facility. Staff can't be bothered to answer questions. And rush to the aid of the intoxicated while people with actual emergencies are left to wait for hours and hours for mediocre treatment. Unless you're dying, call an urgent care.

I want to thank the ICU team here at Flagstaff medical. Especially a big thank you to Wade. He's awesome. My son is alive today and has recovered from Covid after being on a ventilator for over 5 weeks and months of recovery. Because of the hard work of nurses, doctors, and staff, he has his life back. All the nurses here really need a huge thank you for all the dedication, long hours away from their family, and their commitment to taking care of their patients.

We arrived at about 9:30 on a Saturday morning last week with our 5 year old daughter who had fallen and hit her head hard on a rock. We were seen right away and EVERYONE was amazing! The receptionist, the nurses, and the doctors were kind to her! They were also helpful, and seemed to know just what to say and do to help us and put our little one at ease.
I was especially impressed with the doctor who stitched up her wound, I wish I remember her name, she worked competently and quickly, while still showing great compassion. THANK YOU! She carefully and accurately explained what to expect and used the smallest thread to minimize scarring. At the follow-up appointment, the pediatrician commented on how well the injury had been sutured and how nicely it was healing.
