My husband tried to call and make and appointment with orbit eyecare and the lady was super short with him and just kept asking if we had insurance and refused to make an appointment even though he told her he did. Absolutely terrible customer service, it so easy for places to look up your insurance and get more information but this lady could not be bothered. I've had my own issues with this place, and highly recommend any other eye care place that actually cares about new customers/returning customers.

Super friendly associates. Walked through the door and immediately greeted and had all my questions answered. Waiting time was minimal. The optometrist answered all the questions I had and did an exceptional job determining which prescription was best for me. The person doing the calculation for the frame costs and any additional charges was very hands on and helpful. Overall the best Eyecare place I've been to.

My 7 year old daughter was extremely nervous an has never been to an eye doctor as soon as we arrived the staff were so friendly she immediately felt comfortable as if she was a known patient. By the end of the appointment she was so excited for her new glasses an saidbshebwanted to see all of the staff again.

I had a great experience at Orbit Eyecare. I live about 45 miles west of Albuquerque and i had a situation with my eye, i had called multiple places with no luck. The lady that answered was a big help, very courteous and was very understanding about my situation. When i arrived i was taken care of right away. I would definitely recommend Orbit Optometry to my friends n family.

The employees at Orbit were professional and very helpful. I went there because it was the only place in Albuquerque that offered the progressive lenses my insurance covers, with no additional charges. A great place to go if you are a senior with a Medicare Advantage insurance plan. I will be returning when it's time for a new pair.

Orbit used to be my go-to eye doctor, but things change, and not in a good way. They have very limited availability, which usually means I have to schedule my appointments almost a month in advance. I don't know if it's because the doctors have other locations they need to be at, or if the doctors just want to work part time. Either way, it feels like patients come third and the doctors' comfort comes first and second.
The staff are friendly and patient with customers, but they're not trained professionals; the front office staff are not meant to provide optometry care. The eye exams also feel a bit rushed, and not very specialized to fit the patient's needs. Maybe things will improve if they decide to hire on more doctors?

Trying to make an appointment here is a nightmare. I was on the phone for about 25 minutes because they couldn't locate my information in the system. When speaking to the front office, everything sounded scripted and they needed me to repeat all my personal information three or four times. Just like pulling teeth. I ended up going to Costco Optical where they will have my business instead.

I have visited orbit eyecare for 2-3 years in Los Alamos. My first eye exam seemed to be ok, and was done by son of my preferred 20-year provider. The Los Alamos son, Bobby Jarrell, gave me a. I had bifocal, reading and compuree glasses made, one covered by VSP. All wete unsatisfactory and resulted in less acute vision than my old prescription and eyestrain giving me headaches.
I went back for free reexam and got different prescription from different optomitrist. The exams were within months of each other.bi would expext 2 qualified experts would come to very much the same presciptions! Two of three lenses were remade. None of these were adequate either, particularly since my verbal instructions, based on 50 years of wearing glasses, were not correctly implemented by their lab, although I was told they should be fine. Costs were not very accurately estimated and by the time we were finished with problems customer service was not professional.
I finally went two hours south to see my old optometrist, Robert Jarrell Sr, who easily corrected my lens adjustments, though I repaid for corrections. Dr. Jarrell Sr was not part of Orbit network. Dr Jarrell Sr retired spring 2018, although he told me he would not leave until Aug 2018. Orbit and young Bobby Jarrel took over practice. I had no notice.
My records were archived and it has taken confusion and at least a month to retrieve. Further, calling Orbit customer service has been unsatisfactory. They claim to know little to nothing about Dr Jarrell Sr practice they bought out, made former patient records disappear and dont care. Call them.they dont even give hours they are available. Thankfully, one former care technician, Terry, did stay on.
She has tried to be helpful but tracking down records was not easy for her evidently. Thank you Terry. Dr Jarrell Sr, I miss you and happy retirement. I would strongly suggest patients re-evaluate competence, pricing and service under Orbit management. It seems to be a corporate entity more than medical patient oriented practice.

Very rude staff in the front office (not all of them) but one the fat dark girl that sits in the corner is a horrible person she literally rocked her fat body up off the chair to come tell me my 6 month old puppy is not allowed in "her" business when my puppy was literally laying down asleep not bothering anyone. I was only there to pick up glasses too so I was only there maybe 5 minutes. I will not be going back and I pray someone tell her to go sit in the hot car next time. Horrible employee fire her she's trash

Please stay away. The most unprofessional staff I have ever experienced. I had an early appointment that I ended up waiting 30 minutes for. The staff blamed it on a computer problem and when I asked if the Dr. Was in they said "no but the computer is why I am waiting". I asked for my paper work back and the receptionist slammed the paper work into my hand. Please seek other eye care facilities.

The doctor that examined me did a great iob. But the staff sent me in circles. They call you email you etc. but when you call their number they send you to the wrong office. I have been waiting a few weeks for my specialist referral and I finally (after 3 calls) receive a voicemail I could not understand At ALL. this place sucks eggs
