Well finally after all these years I'm getting ready to pay a qualified surgeon to fix the eye sore scar dr leffel made. So glad I did not throw good money after bad money. She actually wanted me to pay her again to fix her butcher job. Actually a butcher in a meat market is much better with a knife. I have had to live with this gouge across my abdomen for 15 years. I had a simple hair laser removal done at the Bend Office. They were over a half hour late. I waited in the room for over 45 min. Then he burnt me horribly. Left scaring on my chin. I had to go to another spa and have laser treatments done for the scaring. A simple hair removal cost me thousands. I will never recommend him to anyone.

I called the Leffel Center to inquire about getting removal of brown spots using the laser technology which I had used in the past on my hands that had been very successful. I made an appointment to do just that on my face. I asked how long I would have to stay out of the sun and was told with a zinc oxide sunscreen it would be minimal. Not a problem.
My appointment was for 1PM so I came early to fill out the paperwork and consult with Dr. Leffel. I met with her for 10 minutes while she tried to talk me into a skin care ointment instead. I told her I would rather go with the laser treatment. She left the room to give me the estimate for the treatment but before doing that she made me pay for the consultation which was $99.
I had several questions after I noticed on the estimate that I was to stay out of the sun for 6 weeks ( not what they indicated at all on the phone). It also recommended that I get 6 treatments. So I asked how long it would be in-between treatments. The assistant kept leaving the room to ask the Dr. to respond to the questions I asked. I thought it would be easier to just ask the doctor and told the assistant that but Dr. Leffell never came back in.
I decided to just go ahead and get the laser treatment done and move forward. However, the assistant then left the room and came back saying they could not do the procedure today. My appointment was to have this done not consult for $99 and then be told they couldn't do it! I was appalled to say the least. I had been there for over an hour. I am not a complainer nor have I ever written a bad review before but felt that people should know what they are getting into.
This place is completely unprofessional and now I see why they made me sign documents that I would not stop payment on my credit card. It has obviously happened to her in the past. I would highly recommend that you never go into this office. It's a scam and this doctor is just in it for the buck. There are lots of much better places in Bend

NIGHTMARE! I had surgery 2 years and 7 months ago. Ever since my surgery I have had an open wound. One year after surgery I went to see Dr. Leffel she was not there so I saw Richard her husband who told me to put Neosporin and a band aide on the wound. After following Richards recommendations for another year, I called Dr. Leffel. After she promised to meet me on two different occasions and then cancelling on me at the last minute, I drove to see her.
She cut the wound out but never sent it to a lab to find out what was going on. Now 3 plus months later, the area is open again. Dr. Leffel now wants to charge me for an office visit which could be $400 plus, sterilization tray $275 plus other costs that could incur depending on what she has to do. I initially paid her over $10,000 for my surgery and have never healed.
Also via text a few weeks ago, she asked if she could send the pictures to colleagues to get other opinions? Then right after that she said I should probably see another surgeon.

My experience is not a positive one either. I choose her because she is one of a few Board Certified Plastic Surgeons in Bend. I had a reduction done and before wheeling me out to surgery, she asked what size I wanted. My husband was in the room with me and specifically heard me say a "small C". During the post op office visits, I kept telling her that it didn't look like what I requested and she replied that it was just "swelling" and would subside. Well, it never did and I am so disappointed, so much so that if I had the money and didn't mind a 5 hour surgery again, I would go to someone else and have it redone. And the scaring.my husband says it looks like a hack did it. And I have to live with this the rest of my life. I would not recommend her based on my experience.
