Since 1974, Neurological Associates of Washington has provided expert consultation from a six physician staff that includes some of the most senior practicing neurologists and neurosurgeons in the Seattle Area. As an independent group, we are not employed by any hospital or insurance company and are committed to providing a more personalized and compassionate alternative to what is sadly becoming a increasingly commercialized health care system. This approach reflects our principles and view of the type of medical care we believe our society deserves.
Services
Forty years have passed since 1974, when Neurological Associates of Washington was founded as a pioneering group in Seattle specializing exclusively in neurological illnesses. During these past four decades, our practice has evolved from an era when CT scans were hardly known, to one in which we now have-down the hallway in our Kirkland office-an MRI scanner.
The quality and resolution of an MRI image is determined not just by the specifications of the scanner hardware (e.g., Field Strength, Rise Time, Slough Rate, number of coils, etc.), but also by a set of other seemingly obscure, but crucial, parameters that are manually selected by the technologist (e.g., slice thickness, pixel matrix, number of data acquisitions, etc.).
Autonomic evaluation involves taking a detailed history, physical examination and diagnostic testing. Laboratory investigations for autonomic disorders include laboratory testing (blood and urine), EKG, echocardiogram or other organ specific test such as gastric emptying studies, or urodynamic testing.
Heart Rate response to Deep Breathing: Measures how your heart rate responds to deep breathing. Heart Rate response to Valsalva: Measures how your heart rate and blood pressure responds to forceful exhalation. Tilt Table Testing: Measures your blood pressure and heart rate while laying and upright at 80 Deg for 10-15 minutes.

Dr. Nazor is knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and caring. I think she has great energy and is uplifting to be around, I never feel rushed and I always feel heard. I have seen her for a while and have always had a good experience. Dr. Nazor always explains things clearly, and when she has referred me for tests etc. the specialists have been really great.

I have a lot of hope that my condition will improve. I am really glad to have found her:) Also, her front office assistant is always very friendly. She is quick to give Dr. Nazor messages, get approval from my insurance, and gets back to me as soon as possible when I call. A very great person to interact with:)

When you're diagnosed with a rare, incurable, neuroinflammatory disease that only a handful of "experts" in the world have ever heard about begins to swallow your life whole, you need the best and neurological problem solvers that exist. To find a small practice of brilliant doctors willing to map out your disease, lay out your options, spend an hour at a time with you until you have answers, is nothing short of a miracle.

You've never seen any medical practice like this before. They treat every patient with compassion, dignity and tlc, for the right reasons. When was the last time you had this quality of "medical health care" where a doctors goal wasn't to hand you a prescription and tell you to return in six weeks for the exact same 10 minute script? At NA of Washington their goal is to identify the source of your problem and to genuinely help you to help and heal yourself to the extent possible. It took my wife almost becoming paralyzed after 20 years of I don't knows and that's not possible, to find the best. You won't be disappointed.

They bill their patient un-reasonably, stay away from this clinic. I have been there a few times (office visits, MRI and EEG). The price is higher than any other Neurology clinics in my experience. I looked at the CPT codes that the doctor ordered for each claim, the doctor always chose the most extreme (expensive) CPT code, plus they will add far-fetched CPT codes to a single service that you received.

For example, they billed 99205 for all new patients regardless the complexity of the issue of each individual, another example: I got 3 CPT codes (EKG+eye study + EEG) for 1 single EEG exam that I had. I talked to them about this and got this response: "This is how we bill our patients".

Dr Fishel is a very good doctor who listens & is thorough. He had new ideas on what to try for my chronic debilitating migraines. Dr. Fishel's assistant is on the ball efficient & great @ her job. One comment about reviewers that give very-low low reviews, but no reason real why. You're not helping anyone by giving one star & not explaining what was horrible & why people shouldn't go here. Will Morgan seems to hate professionals & love skateboard shops.

Dr. Fishel and his assistant Katie are amazing. I've been coming here for over a year after a car accident with concussion. They always go above and beyond to provide the highest quality of care. Dr. Fishel is extremely knowledgeable, a great listener and a thoughtful doctor with a positive attitude who listens and discusses options well. His support through this experience has made all the difference.
