A LASIK surgery procedure is designed to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses or contacts. An excimer laser gently reshapes the cornea with computer-controlled precision to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. LASIK surgery has great potential to give you a life where putting your contacts in and reaching for your glasses in the morning is a memory of the past.
See how laser vision correction can reduce and/or eliminate your dependence on glasses and contact lenses if you are nearsighted, farsighted or have astigmatism. It is important to understand your specific vision problem and how laser vision correction can be used to treat it. Your eye shape and cornea are keys to better vision.

My experience from start to finish was amazing! The staff was friendly and educational which helped me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the whole process. The surgery day went smoothly and the procedure was quick and painless. Within hours of the procedure, my vision was sooo much clearer. I was in disbelief for almost a whole day after that I can finally see without corrective lenses.
If you are considering Lasik, you will be in great hands with the team at LVI. I live downtown, and traveling to the suburbs was more than worth it for the experience and results I received.

So amazing! My mom got her lasik done here last year so it came highly recommended. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. I had no pain, just slight discomfort but after a 4.5 hour nap, almost all discomfort was gone. Woke up the next morning being able to see. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

I was nervous and somewhat skeptical but after the first day I see so well without contacts/glasses. I'm excited to see my vision continue to improve after the blurriness and swelling subsides. It's unbelievable to be able to get up in the morning and see my alarm clock and see everything around me while I'm showering and getting ready for the day. Thank you so much! The fact that you provide so much information to keep us well informed is really beneficial and helps calm the nerves. Thank you again!

I decided to ditch my glasses and it was the best decision for me so far. All the staff was very friendly and super helpful. I trusted the doctor with my eyes and I'm happy I did. I now have 20/20 vision and my eyes are getting better day by day. The process is easy, I did have some pain after the procedure and I went straight home and went to sleep as they advised and woke up the same day with no more pain. FYI: I have a low pain tolerance! Lol I highly suggest this place! I can't stress enough on how welcoming and AWSOME the staff is.

Everyone was so nice. My husband had told me to get a few consultations but after how safe i felt here i decided to pick them right away they were so quick on replying to my questions. Although i was nervous the day of the procedure they helped me calm down and it was a success. So quick, easy and painless. Thank you!

Bottom line: It appears that profits over patients has resulted in a lack of coordination and responsibility at this office, and that left me very uncomfortable with putting the health of my eyes into their hands. This office is very disorganized. I scheduled my initial consultation in late December 2021 at the Oak Brook location but received a message the day before my appointment stating that they had to cancel it and asking me to reschedule for another day.
I rescheduled it for two weeks later, but then the same thing happened. A day before my appointment, they sent me message stating that they had to cancel my appointment again. It was impossible to get in touch with anyone at the office. When calling their direct number, regardless of the time or the day of the week, the phone would just ring and eventually forward to a scheduler who isn't actually present at the office.
After I ask a question, they would put me on hold while they attempt to reach the office themselves. A few minutes later, they come back and tell me that they were unable to get a hold of anyone. That was the routine during every call I placed to them over the past two months. They can only take a message and attempt to have someone reach back out within two business days, which doesn't include Mondays since they're closed.
After I was eventually contacted, I was told that staffing issues led to the cancellations, and I was offered an additional $200 discount for the trouble. I rescheduled for Feb 15, but yet again, I got a message the day before my appointment stating that they have rescheduled my appointment. They didn't even talk to me to ask if I was available much less to get my consent! Instead, they just rescheduled it and sent me a confirmation message stating that they look forward to seeing me at the new time.
That is the third appointment they've cancelled or changed on me in less than two months. In each case, I had adjusted my work schedule to accommodate the appointment and was given less than 24 hours notice of the cancellation/change. Unless it's a fantastic coincidence, I suspect that this is a systemic problem there. If they continue to schedule patients while being unable to make themselves available or be responsible to those who have already started the process, what should I expect after having the procedure? I decided not to find out.

It was one of the best decisions I've made. I have been dealing with glasses/contacts for the past 10 years was very happy for the switch. I've heard great things about the lasik in general and glad it lives up to the hype. The doctors were ready for all questions for both before and during the follow up appointment. And the surgery itself was very easy with the guidance of the surgeon.
Right after, you can just notice the changes. And now just 24hrs after, I am basically at 20/20 again. Only cons about the whole process is the wait time. Which you can't always do something about.

Best decision of my life! I went in July 2021 for my procedure and in less than probably 10 minutes I could see so clear! I had wore contacts and glasses for about 8 years and I was over it. My eyesight was terrible, -5.50 in both eyes. Someone less than 5 feet away would be blurry. The doctor is very knowledgeable and the ladies up front were very nice and made the whole process easy.
It's now been 6 months since I've had the surgery and my vision is still so great. I don't have to wake up reaching over trying to find my glasses or put my contacts in to see. I highly recommend getting lasik. There's payment options available as well if you don't have the funds right away.
