This place sucks! Talk about lazy. I do NOT recommend Rachel Vanderwhal. It's like she's deaf or something, her entire team is incompetent. They send prescriptions without Dr signatures, they send referrals without Dr. signatures. I've had test results in for a week that she never looked at so when I asked someone to call me and explain them to me they used my emergency contact number not my phone number, and they even waited until the answer service was picking up their calls to do it so I had absolutely no way of calling back! Why on earth would anyone with half a mind even do that? Getting a new Dr ASAP, this place is ridiculous

I went and saw Dr. Williams in March after having waited for two months for an appointment because I live in that part of Grants Pass. I finally got an appointment then he cancelled it for personal reasons (after having over scheduling) and the office staff wanted to put me another six weeks out for an appointment. but because I objected at this, they gave me an appointment in two weeks.
I got there at the end of March to see him (or anybody), and all I got was the usual temperature, blood pressure and oxygen level (all perfect) done by his assistant. When I told him up front which was a prescription for antebuse he wouldn't give it to me without a further blood test (and more money), even though my vitals were perfect. Before I left they wanted to schedule an appointment for the testing but I said no.
When I got home I called my insurance company and through telemedicine and got this prescription within minutes and it has helped me greatly. This guy is a liar and a fraud and Is only out to make money.

If I could rate this zero stars I would! Dr. Hamann doesn't care about old people, If you are elderly, or have a loved one who is elderly, please do not send them here! They're treated as an inconvenience and a formality and basically are dismissed because of age. Not to mention he displays misogynistic attitudes.

I scheduled a physical and presented my insurance. I asked them to bill my visit as preventative since my insurance doesn't bill me for preventative visits. She agreed. Two weeks after the visit I receive a bill for $350. I called their billing department and was told that my insurance is out of network with them. "No", I calmly explained. "It's listed as "in network" on your website." This had no effect. (My insurance is UnitedHealthCare) I also asked why the receptionist allowed me in for the visit if my insurance was out of network?
No effect. I'm too old to fight these battles. I paid the bill but they get this pleasant review in response. I know all too well that one negative review could cost a business exponentially over time. Any good business knows this. In this day and age, the business that treats a customer well is the business that earns dividends and conquers the competition.

I've been trying to get my partner in to see the doctor about a few things over the past year. (Are all men incapable of making appointments? ) After waiting 8 weeks for the next available appointment to be seen as a new patient, he showed up 3 MINUTES LATE and was turned away at the door. A totally impersonal experience; even for a doctors office.
If I could give 0 stars I would. If they weren't the only ones who took his coastal insurance I would switch, unfortunately we are locked in to this one. Writing this review hoping anyone in this office who cares to make a change, will.

This clinic is low budget and Dr. Hamann is an a$$#@! and will drop you or your family if you miss one appointment! They also lost my babies blood work paperwork and lost my daughters application form so I had to get another one and fill it out and after that I came to my appointment and they said Dr. Hamann had dropped my whole family so I wasted my time and gas to get there and couldn't give me a good excuse why I wasn't contacted for them to inform me about this matter. Some good advice, Choose a better clinic!

After 20+ years with Dr. Powell and Mountain View, I am honestly surprised by some of the negative remarks posted here. I have always been treated with respect and friendly staff. I have never waited long for very long. Dr. always listened with compassion and wonderful advice. Maybe with Grants Pass growing so quickly they are much busier than usual and we all have off days. Lani always gets to me quickly on the phone and addresses everything I need efficiently. I would recommend my Doctor and practice to anyone. With all the frustration of running such a large practice, those people do one hell of a job.

If I could give this office staff zero stars I would. Attitude, attitude, attitude. I have never in my life dealt with office personnel who have treated me in the manner in which these two people have. I am speaking in particular about two medical/office assistants - Callie, and Haley. These two employees managed to put me into an absolute frenzy of frustration. Callie was impatient, and short with me when I was trying to deal with an impossibly frustrating situation with my medications. Haley practically told me off when she called me on the phone accusing me of being wrong about what I had called to discuss with her earlier. Dr. Richard Williams needs to seriously reconsider the people who represent him to his patients. In my experience, these two were anything but a good representation. I have consequently changed doctors. I don't need this kind of grief.
