I recently had an appointment on 4/14/22 and must say this office has had a complete turnaround. The front office was very nice and very little wait time. I had one of the best exams I have ever experienced. Dr. Butera was absolutely wonderful! He spent so much time with me and is extremely compassionate and caring. I would recommend him highly. Again the most comprehensive exams I have ever had!
What a great doctor. My experience was terrible. I have had a referral since 4/1 and made an appointment that day with Dr. Louis Butera, Palm Beach Neurology for 11 am today, April 13, 2016. The appointment was reconfirmed yesterday. I arrived at 10:45 to complete all paperwork. I left at 12:10 without seeing the doctor. The last 30 minutes I was the only one in the waiting room.
When I asked the receptionist how much longer, she told me very haughtily, it could be another hour. The doctor always takes a lot of time with patients. I then nicely responded, why then don't you space the appointments out if you know the doctor can't see the patients on a timely basis? Her response - "it's not my fault and there is nothing I can do about it.
You are welcome to leave." During the entire hour, I only asked her twice about my wait time once at 11:30 "My appointment was at 11:00 do you know if it will be much longer?" r and again at 12:10. I was not abusive or disruptive but extremely patient and respectful. It's intolerable that the doctor, not having a medical emergency (confirmed by the receptionist) would make a patient wait for over a hour.
I planned my work schedule around this appointment. I gave up two important appointments to see this doctor. This was completely inconsiderate and uncalled for. There was no apology, the receptionist was rude, and the whole experience was frustrating and stressful.

Palm Beach Neurology is a rip-off I went there for Migraines and the issue has yet to be resolved. My first visit I was charged $500 Plus unexpectedly for test to be ran that I was not aware of until I arrived and before being seen by the doctor to even find out my issue. I was also charged for two shots when I only received one and when calling the billing department about the issue they refused to speak with the doctor instead they went by incorrect notes. Please save yourself money and time by going somewhere else.

Learn from my bad experience and run. I had a test done at the office for symptoms I hadn't been experiencing in about almost a year. Unkown to me the test being performed by Dr. Stone during this first visit/consultation was a very expensive test, that I was never given any kind of estimate at any time when making the appointment or checking in. Honestly, I didn't even know what he was testing me for. Supposively, the office staff are not aware of any kind of test he might perform, but then afterwards when I complained about the cost of the first visit they said it was a standard test for my type of appointment. Surprise! 15 minute later when I go to check out I'm presented a bill of over $450(not including the office visit which was covered by my insurance).
If they had any idea, which they should, they see all kinds of patients every day, the decent and considerate thing to do is give you a ballpark range or estimate of how much your visit will be depending of the "type" of visit you come in for a what test the Dr. may perform during the appointment. There's only so many test that they can do at the Dr. office during your first consultation.
But no, after speaking to the staff they thought there was nothing wrong with them surprising you with a big bill at the end and not providing any kind of estimate beforehand. According to them, they have always done it like this because the staff never knows what test they might and might not do. I have gone to other specialists who do tests that are performed by the office or doctor at the time of visit and they will let you know ahead what the cost with your insurance might be for these test, such as allergist, rheumatologist, radiologist.
They admit no fault or apology. Thats how they do things. Shame! By the way, I liked Dr. Stone, and he seemed like a very helpful and reasonable Dr. It's too bad he allows this to happen in his office. But that was just ridiculous, I could never go back to a Doctor's office that takes advantage of their patients in that way.

Dr Dasilva is the nicest doctor I have ever been to. Very kind and compassionate. I was reluctant to go back to a neurologist after a bad experience up north but Dr. Dasilva put me right at ease and calmed my fears and answered all my questions. Would like to keep him a secret so he doesnt get overbooked.
