When mask requirements are lifted for other indoor settings, you will still need to wear a mask in health care settings, following OAR 333-019-1011. Masking is still required at all our health care facilities regardless of vaccination status or direct vs indirect patient contact. You must wear a mask. It is an OHA policy for health care facilities (OAR 333-019-1011) and is enforced by Oregon OSHA. I had a CMC Arthoplasty on my right hand surgically performed by Dr. Derek Smith. My very first surgery ever which Dr. Smith knew from the start. He answered every question throughly, provided technical insight & website link's so I could educate myself & relieve my fears and called me at home after my surgery to ensure I wasn't experiencing any problems & to see if I had additional questions about the post-op instructions.
He also shared what he encountered once he surgically opened up my thumb. I'm thankful I took the time to research hand surgeons here in Bend. My nerve pain is finally gone and my quality of life has been restored thanks to Dr. Derek Smith.

Absolute amazing care. I've seen many, many doctors at Desert Ortho. They've always listened to my concerns, has a good handle on my connective tissue disorder (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) and never push any treatments on you. They lay out the options, give you the pros and cons, and allow you to make the best decision that works for you. They never rush you through your apt and will patiently answer all questions.
I've had both hips replaced and a knee and Dr Finter was amazing from start to finish. In my book, she's, hands down, one of, If not the only, person to see for hips and knees.

From start to finish everybody was professional, friendly, and thorough. It was one of the most well run medical offices I've ever been to. I rarely take the time to do it reviews, but in this case I felt compelled because this is how are you medical clinic should run. I could not have asked for a better experience and the treatment helped very very much after weeks of severe pain. Excellent

Great & accommodating appointments & staff! My appointments have happened on time; very efficient-and I feel adequate time has been taken to answer my questions/needs. Dr. Finter is personable and I feel she has taken adequate time with me and is not rushing me into any unnecessary procedures or surgery. Very happy with my care so far. I think the only issue I have is that the Drs & staff rotate to 3 different locations (my 3 appointments are at each one of these) and you need to be sure you know where your going!

When I arrived at my appointment I waited no longer then 5min or less. When I was seen I was treated very professional and felt comfortable with the provider. She asked all the right questions and answered all my questions very professionally. She was very caring and understanding. Left their feeling better then when I walked in. As a recently retired RN from Seattle I have been very impressed with the care given thus far at Desert Ortho. I fractured my wrist a few days ago and they were able to squeeze me in immediately. The front desk and back office staff are courteous and efficient, and Dr. Hoblet are all awesome! Reception area and exam rooms are immaculate!

Overall, the office is always professional and courteous. Calls are returned in a timely manner by staff. Dr. Jon Swift is the best of the best! I've been a patient for many years, with knee and progressive back issues. He's always been great and have never had a bad experience with him or the clinic.
