The team and nurses here have helped my husband and I through such a difficult season. Our time in the infusion center has been calm and comfortable. Someone was there for my husband for whatever he needed with a smile. The social workers and dietitians were amazing, they made cancer feel less scary. They gave us calm, peace and confidence. We're grateful that he is almost done with chemo and that he will resume some normal but we're forever indebted to the amazing people who have cared for him during this season.

There HAS to be an easier way to get medical records transferred! Seriously. just a little help to make this easier! Records department was a joke. Took numerous phone calls and emails, including "internet down" all day excuse. And only pointing out 1 error EACH time I resent the document?! Wouldn't it be more efficient for both us to review the entire document and tell me everything that's wrong. and not just the next wrong item on a 2 page form. Entire process has taken me a week.

Very disappointed in the dr's. Only the ones we have dealt with. From experience with my husband having cancer and going through treatment at M.D Anderson in Houston. The Dr's and staff were amazing. My husband is a poster child with M. D Anderson and despite the odds against him. He beat cancer after a long fight. He has been cancer free since 2002!
He then formed Bad To The Bone Marrow Ride at M.D Anderson Cancer Center and teamed up with Be The Match. Never Give Up! Is on a bracelet he wears to this day and gives thousands out through his drives to beat cancer, find cures for cancer. I wish the Dr.'s with Mary Bird Perkins had the positive approach to their patient's and hope they will someday get the Be positive and kind to a person that has cancer.
I can only speak for our situation. My brother is so very positive and despite at this point Keytruda is working and his tumors have shrunk. His tumor marked went from 13.7 to 4.5. His blood work is good, his liver is functioning good, kidneys. To hear the dr. Say after saying how great Keytruda is working. The dr'. A week ago at Palliative was very negative. Said get your affairs in order you don't have long.
Yesterday the Dr. said the same thing. I am really saddened by the negative experience he is going through with these people that are playing GOD! I met Lance Armstrong with my husband and went to the Capital to talk about passing a bill for a cancer treatment and every single person was positive and were on the same page. Does anyone of us know when our death date will be?
I certainly can not be that high of a power. That is a power only GOD knows. The healthiest person that is alive and well right this moment may not be here tomorrow. I am praying for the people that are so cruel and negative at Mary Bird Perkins!
