Otolaryngology or ENT Ear, Nose and Throat, is a specialty concerned with the medical and surgical treatment of the ears, nose, throat and related structures of the head and neck. This specialty encompasses cosmetic facial surgery, management of patients with loss of hearing and balance, examination of air and food passages, and treatment of sinus, laryngeal, thyroid and esophageal disorders, as well as, cancers of the skin, mouth, tongue and throat.

Pretty efficient and well-run office. Audiologist worked me in though I was a bit late due to road closure. She explained every step and did a great job of answering my questions. Dr. Lane listened to my description of the problem I had and did a thorough exam and then discussed what he found with me. Scheduling the appointment was the only downside to the encounter. Their scheduling is very hard to work with as it is centralized for the 3 or 4 offices that they have, and frequently place you on hold for way to long.

The therapists are great but the referral department has a big problem. My husband's doctor faxed a referral on June 14. When we arrived for the appointment on June 20, Asheville Ear, and throat couldn't find it. So we have to make a second appointment to get his hearing tested. In this age of electronics, AEN&T could do better.

Dr. Moore recently performed a sinuplasty with inferior turbinectomy, totally relieving my chronic sinus maladies. His patient-centered approach, explaining the diagnosis and treatment prior to the surgery and close follow ups subsequent to the procedures, including a call to my home the evening of the surgery, was exceptional. He is, in my opinion, in the top 99% of surgeons in his caring demeanor and clinical aptitude. I was extremely fortunate to have been referred to this excellent physician and surgeon.

This facility was fantastic. The staff was very pleasant to be around and made me feel comfortable. Most importantly my son was comfortable and smiling with everyone there. It was an overall wonderful experience for a visit that, given the reason for said visit, presented some overwhelming feelings. The staff was great with bringing and keeping positive focus. I thank them so much and bless them!

Dr. Melvin is an excellent physician. He diagnosed my problem immediately after two previous doctors could not. He has also been taking care of a thyroid issue for me and has been very clear on the procedure and the condition. I can highly recommend him if you are fortunate enough to see him. The office was one of the best run I have seen. I was seen quickly with courtesy and friendliness. A rare occurrence in many doctor offices.

Always a 5 star visit! They take excellent care of me with my hearing loss and Meniere's Disease diagnosis. They are kind, understanding and compassionate. Dr. Moore takes time with me when I just need an extra minute to discuss options and always hears everything I say and listens to my concerns. Olivia is my audiologist and I adore her! I feel like it would be impossible to receive care anywhere else that would hold a candle to the care I receive here.
