Worst dermatologist EVER! Don't waste your time and money at the place. Doctor Rullan does not care about your problem, he'll charge you top dollar without further follow-up. I paid more than 2K for one procedure which did not help my skin AT ALL and called their office several times but they did not respond back. Zero responsibility, Zero professionalism.

No prescription, No follow up, No specific improvement. They just get your money and leave you alone. The doctor does not give a heck about the results. He did a series of ineffective aggressive procedure called Trio (acne scar removal) on my face and did not respond when I called them back. My face looks even worse than before (not even 5% improvement let alone 20-30% that they claim at the beginning). I'm a student thus on a short budget.

I wish I had chosen a better dermatologist instead of wasting my money and my time here. I paid 2200 for one session of Trio for nothing and they don't even care if you are not satisfied with results.

Was suppose to have a consultation at 2:40 and it's now 3:35 and they barely gave me a call at 3:38. The front desk are the most unprofessional people ever. They don't know how to schedule consultations and have no common courtesy of other people's schedule. I'm still expecting a call so I'll see what the update is.

Dr. Rullan is the only one I trust with my acne scars. I've gone here about 5 times since January 2020 and I've seen about a 75-80% improvement in my scars. I'm from the Bay Area and I always fly out to him. I've gone to several esthetician's and dermatologists in the Bay Area for help and I would see little to no improvement.

These people in the Bay Area are not experienced with deeper acne scars so they would only offer me small peels which never worked and were a waste of money. It was the best decision I made to start searching farther for somebody who can treat me. I'm thankful I found somebody like Dr. Rullan. I have had treatments like the phenol peel and combination treatment (subcision, micro needling and CROSS).

The procedures are pricey and adds up especially when you are buying a plane ticket and also to get a taxi to there but everything is worth it for me. I would have never seen results if I stayed with what was here in the Bay Area. I see results from every visit with him. I'm thankful I came across him.

Yes they are open during covid! My acne scars have never looked better thanks to Dr. Rullan! They are covid-friendly, and wait times are reasonable. I've had over 12 procedures here and have seen over 75% improvement, coming from severe acne scars. I had all types of scars (rolling, ice pick, boxcar), and all of them saw improvement. As far as pricing goes, it will be a major expense for many, but it's totally reasonable and worth it. Message me if you'd like to see photos of my improvement. This doctor failed to notice I have rosacea and performed a very aggressive microneedling treatment. My skin is now very reactive and always sensitive. All this doctor did was make my skin a lot worse and refuses to refund my money. Would not recommend to anyone.

Dr Jennifer Rullan was wonderful. This was my first visit to see a dermatologist I had no idea what to expect. The minute I met her she put me at ease and removed so many of my unwanted spots. I can not wait to continue my treatments with her. I can already tell she is going to be the doctor that keeps me looking young.

Watched a youtube vlog about one of his previous satisfied customers and I contacted their office via email. They are currently offering free virtual consultations and also answer any and all questions through email which I really appreciate. And right away too. I did not have to wait several days for a response. Even got quoted on the same day. I made my appt and then drove 2 1/2 hours, Los Angeles to Chula Vista, for Electrocautery.

I was literally there for about 10 min. The staff were easy going and friendly, but Dr. Rullan is what really made my visit memorable. What a nice guy. Great at making you feel comfortable and really seems to know what he is doing. I totally recommend going to see this dermatologist. I will definitely return to their office. Even if I have to drive 2 1/2 hours to get there.

Hi I went two years ago to have liposuction in the inner part of my legs by dr. Rullan and when I went the day of the surgery I was never told that I was not going to be put out he took out too much fat and several areas of my inner thighs I'm blamed it because I had loose skin which is untrue I work out a lot so I do not have loose sagging skin.

And he was very upset as he was doing the surgery and he kept going back and forth on my leg and didn't stop until I told him it hurt. I don't think that he should be performing any surgeries that require injections of any sort because he also ruined my didn't ruin my calf but he injected it with some saline to get rid of the spider veins and he did it on one of my regular veins and it's almost like I feel he did it on purpose I had to go to another doctor to have them repair that thank goodness it was corrected.

But my inner thighs I don't know how they're going to be corrected I will continue my search to see if I can find someone who's going to correct it. I just would like to warn someone who's thinking about having liposuction done from him think twice thank you

Dr. Rullan is the best one as well as his amazing team, his assistant Mary is the greatest at making you feel comfortable and calming down you if you are feeling nervous. DR. Rullan and Mary make every visit a wonderful experience, making you feel at home.like family! I recommend Dr. Rullan 100%! I was always scared of doing any procedure on myself, thinking that something could go wrong but Dr. Rullan makes magic!

Dr. Jennifer Rullan is the brightest, most talented dermatologist that I have ever had. I recently moved from Los Angeles. I was a patient at UCLA and Dr. Jen is so much better. She is not only incredibly skilled with the medical management of dermatology, but is truly an artist when it comes to the cosmetic side of this field. I have been an RN for over 20 years.

I've worked in every department from Med/Surg to Outpatient Surgery, from Pediatrics to the ER, where I've spent the majority of my career. I've seen it all. I've worked alongside every type of doctor. I know an exceptional doctor when I see one. Also, I am a complicated case. After spending my early years crisping my Irish self in the sun, I developed Squamous cell skin cancer on my bottom lip. Twice!

My lip was disfigured. UCLA said they took the aesthetic side as far as they could. Not according to my new Dermatologist! After a single injection of a combination that she used, my lip improved more with that one visit than with a year's worth of trips to UCLA. Now, I'm getting to experience the fun side. She has many techniques using fillers. Again, I've had this procedure done by both dermatologists and plastic surgeons. Dr. Jen uses these techniques with her artistic eye in ways I have never experienced.

She created a beautiful cupids bow for me and extended the filler to the ridges of your philtrum (from your upper lip to your nose.) The result is amazing. She also places "pillows " in your lips. This makes your lips look so full and natural. Essentially, she sculpts and molds it until she gets it just right. I can't believe that I had to move to San Diego to get my lips back! Many thanks, Dr. Jen. I wish you continued success. You deserve it.

I had two awful ugly scars over my eyebrows caused from an incompetent military surgeon. For years I was embarrassed to show my face and would find ways to cover up with bandanas and hats. The scars even earned me my nickname Scar from my biker buddies. After being treated by Dr Peter Rullan I am no longer ashamed to show my face. I suffered for years with painful injections and laser treatments from military and VA doctors without any significant results. Dr Rullan with his experience and skilful techniques was able to get results from my very first visit and now with his treatments my scars are literally unseen (guess I will have to get another nickname). Dr Rullans skills and dedication to helping people makes him nothing less than phenomenal.

Everyone on his team follows his lead to be the best. In addition, I had a tattoo removed from the back of my head, (yeh that's right). " Piper" was the team member that performed the procedure with outstanding results. I could not be more impressed with the overall skills of this team. Thank you Dr Rullan and staff.

After six month of phenol peel, my skin has improve even more. when i used to look at the mirror while im driving, i can see the hole scar on my temple i get very sad and go home for the day. Now i can even flip the mirror and look at my whole face without problem because i no longer see the scar anymore. Friend of mine haven't see eachother for 4 years.

Recently we hang out again, he ask me why my face got so much better. I never told him about i have been getting treatment. At that moment i know it totally worthy. Because if i told him im getting treatment, he probably would say nice thing even if my face didnt get any better. So thanks you guys.

I don't normally do yelp reviews. I was so nervous to do Botox! Dr Jennifer Rullan was so professional! She really took the time to get to know me and my face! She has changed my life. I was wearing baseball caps and hiding my face from my husband. I had lost all self confidence. After one week I have seen results and started to get my confidence back.

I did not get a lot as I didn't want it to be too obvious and I appreciate that a lot was not forced upon me, just the right amount to make a difference! Thank you so much Dr Jennifer! I highly recommend you to everyone and I WILL be back!

I'm giving Dr. Peter Rullan 5 stars because I trust him when it comes to my skin. I've had 4 microneedling treatments and 3 TSA cross treatments with Dr. Peter Rullan and I'm so happy how improved my skin is. Dr. Rullan works aggressively on acne scars so you'll definitely see improvement with him. One complaint I may add is sometimes staff is behind schedule so you're waiting a little bit longer. But other in that Dr. Peter Rullan did an amazing job and makes sure his patients are safe and are satisfied with every visit.

I travelled from quite far away (eastern Canada) to meet with Dr Rullan. I am extremely happy with the way I was treated at the clinic. Dr Rullan used combination therapy on me (I had several skin issues) to maximise results. He also checked my moms issues (in spite of the fact that she did not have any appointment) The whole team went beyond what was asked from them.

I found the communication to be excellent and the Dr and his staff very skilled and friendly. No, I am not paid to write this review. I have met with 12 dermatologist in the last years who could not help me out. In only one session. Dr Rullan has improved my skin tremendously. Highly recommended. A+++

Hello, The office was clean, the doctors were friendly and professional. A few weeks later I requested my medical records so I can give them to my Air Force recruiter but for some reason it's very difficult for them to give me MY results. It's now almost a month later and I've had to spontaneously move from San Diego to Los Angeles, so I can't just show up to their office.

They won't email it to me or help me with my online profile to view my medical chart. Every time I call, I'm immediately sent to the medical records office just to leave a voicemail every single time. I can't believe my military process is being kept on hold over something so minor. Please, fix this issue.

DRAMATIC RESULTS! Dr. Rullan and his team produce dramatic results. I got very sick about 7 years ago with an infection and it damaged my skin in every way you can imagine from pores, to acne scars, pock marks, elasticity, you name it. I've been going to Dr. Peter Rullan for a long time. He and his team have always provided me with excellent care. I have received facials, botox, fillers and lasers over the years - always with great results - but I'm over 60 now. I wanted something with even more dramatic results. I decided on a phenol peel, which was big step up from my normal maintenance, but I felt complete confidence in Dr. Rullan.

He has extensive credentials in dermatology and he is an expert in phenol peels who teaches seminars on the subject in the U.S. and abroad. He was in contact with me via text every day after the procedure for over a week. He provides ongoing care afterward to make sure the results are optimal. I'm super happy and very thankful he's my doctor & recommend him highly to any one.

I have been going to Dr Rullan for years. I have seen one of the PA's that has come and gone and I have seen Dr Rullan. I have been his patient for various reasons, from cosmetic surgery to skin conditions. I have not had any issues with Dr Rullan himself. He is very personable, kind and genuinely cares for his patients. I do however have issues with the office staff and generally the way his and Jennifer's office is run.

First of all, there are numerous office staff employed which would give you the idea that that there is sufficient staff to cover this office's needs. All are quite young and energetic but sadly inefficient. I listed only some of problems below that has brought me to the point of finding another Dermatologist. 1. Many of the office staff demonstrate lack of understanding of ones duties and position with a general lack of proper bedside manner.

This includes arguing with the patient about medication which the doctor had already prescribed; being told to get it over the counter.instead. Setting you in a chair flat on your back to get a shot which requires you to stand. No real proper screening for what you might be there for leaving the Dr. coming in assuming what your needs are. 2. When you have a question concerning anything except another appointment, there is a black hole which leaves you with nothing other than a voicemail in hopes that you might get a call back. 3.

Being prescribed medication which is never called into the pharmacy. Leaving you to contend with the black hole. In some cases leaving me to go to urgent care for some relief. Again, Love Dr, Rullan but this office is unbearable.

A great reviewed doctor so a wait was something I figured. I had an 11 appointment and showed up at 1030 since I am a new patient and was ready to fill out necessary forms to not run late. I've worked at a medical office and hate when people expect to get into their appointment on time when first time patients. Anyway, not getting off track. After filling out paperwork and paying for my visit, there was 5 patients who signed in after me and still got called in before me.

After the 5th person I had enough and asked the receptionist kindly how much longer the wait was to be because several people arrived after me and still got attended to before she said, "I was up next". When I made my appointment I made it with male Dr Rullan and the doctor I see is apparently is daughter, (father was on vacation) which I don't really care because I just need to be seen.

Short reason why I am being seen is for an allergic reaction to who knows what and 7 weeks after I'm still covered in hives and spreading. I spoke to the nurse and doctor who took photos of the rash which I was happy with. Finally some documentation of what is going on. Dr Rullan was extremely friendly and willing to work with my insurance. She was upfront that the insurance I have wasn't the best and a few things she was prescribing wasn't covered but she will show me some tricks to get the most out of the topicals.

She used a tablet to show me photos of other with the current condition I had. Her nurse was also very friendly and gentle when administering a shot. Overall the experience was great once I was done waiting and getting pushed back. Dr Rullan (female) is someone I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I am a patient of Dr Rullan and I trust him completely in my treatment for acne scarring. I have been to many dermatologists over the years and most don't specialize in acne or scarring. So frustrating to say the least. I've been treated with accurate and we are now focusing on the scarring, which is almost worst that the breakouts. I'm glad that he understands and is an expert in this field. Forever a patient of Dr Rullan.

Without a doubt, Dr. Rullan has the most FABULOUS dermatology office in San Diego/Chula Vista! I have been a patient of HIBA for many years. I followed her here from another office and she is the perfect fit! Every service she does on my face is exquisite. She goes above and beyond to make me look and feel better. Dr. Rulan demeanor during my first ever Botox event was comforting and the work was perfect! (Too bad miracles did not happen though!) I love when Melissa helps me on the phone and at the front desk. I am so happy!

I visited Dr. Rullan today after speaking with Lilly who was caring, empathetic and very knowledgeable Thank you. I had just experienced a horrible outcome from a dermatological procedure in Mexico and was depressed and desperate. Lilly was so caring and helpful. I am still wary about having the same procedure done by Dr. Rullan only because it's costly and very time consuming with lots of healing process. But I do have to Thank Lilly once again. She made my visit hopeful about my needs and made me feel better about my situation.

I been going to dr. Peter Rullan for years, he's honest and aggressive. Wants the best for you and always suggesting the best possibility for you. I recently saw his daughter Dr. Jennifer Rullan and she was amazing. She's talented and a perfectionist. She suggested many things I did not know existed. Can't wait to try some things out. In looking for his contact information, since we haven't had any issues in the last few years, and with the ease of internet search, I am shocked at some of the bad reviews, so I felt compelled to give my own: My whole family from parents to grandchildren, has visited Dr Rullan over the last. 35 years. and he has always cured us of whatever was ailing us.

My daughter had a horrible rash on her legs and he was the only one who knew how to take care of it without making me feel like i was neglecting my daughter for having the rash (as Dr Dolgas did.) In recent years Dr Rullan has gotten involved in cosmetic surgery and creams, and he will try to sell them that is true. Also, he has an office manager who is nasty, thinks she owns the place, that's unfortunate, but Dr. Rullan is an excellent dermatologist.

This experience has compelled me to write my first review. I was treated by Dr. Rullan for one year and the results are exactly the same, if not worse. I was recommended to Dr. Rullan by my physician for what I thought was a rash. He did a skin test & was quick to diagnose it as a skin fungus. Treatment included oral and topical anti-fungal medicine.

Next was the anti-inflammatory shot that would probably help any rash as it was shot directly into the lesion. Nothing was addressing the source. The condition would appear better but only due to self-progression. The reason I know this is because I had this for one year before I sought treatment with him. Every time I would go in, they would ask, "what are we seeing you for today?" This was ok for maybe the first three times- but EVERY time? Were they not able to read my chart for past visits?!

Recently after a flareup, I decided to find someone else. She did a thorough exam & actually took a biopsy of my lesion. I found out I have a life threatening disease. If I had not went else where, I don't know how much longer I would have continued with him and his misdiagnosis and treatment. I'm not only extremely dissatisfied but also upset that he would not have recognized these signs.
