THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING UNLESS AN ABSOLUTELY URGENT EMERGENCY. We had an emergency while passing through town (Rock Hill). Although the staff was very nice, we waited +8hrs with a potential stroke patient. Of course ER's can be busy and have many people in them. The lab work/test results weren't shared with the patient and we cannot access the records on the Piedmont Medical Center Portal due to incorrect entry of patients personal information/data (hospital staff error).
We've been off and on the phone with them trying to recover information regarding the lab/test results and still have nothing. Once we finally made it to a patient room, it was almost an hour before we decided to leave because it was late with no answers. The doctor then came in and requested another CTscan because the first one they took wasn't clear.
In all, we believe the staff are nice people and are heavily worked. Still, there needs to be consistency and integrity when dealing with people with all sorts of medical needs, including potentially life-threatening emergencies. THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING UNLESS AN ABSOLUTELY URGENT EMERGENCY.

My mother was brought in for chest pain. She had to spend the night in the ER. She was barely checked on. The food experience was the worst. We have never been to a hospital where you don't get to choose what you want to eat. People have different taste buds, have allergies to different foods. Then for sandwiches all you offer is peanut butter and jelly!
Not every one eats that plus there are people with peanut allergies. People should have choices when it comes to what they want to eat not what you the Hospital chooses for them to eat. you know it's bad when your staff say that is the biggest and worst complaint and that they agree that the cafeteria needs to change. The patient room that she finally got into was old looking needed a remake, the bed half worked.
I hope and prayi don't ever have to bring my mother to this hospital again. I will take my chance and go back to Pineville, at least she had choices and was treated a little better.

My husband is currently in your hospital and he is getting treated terrible, he's in isolation and if he's lucky he's getting fed one time a day I don't know what's going on he's been told so many different things I don't know what's going on, I'm very upset with this and the nurses in there right now hasn't even been in to check on him and his med bottle just sitting they didn't even start it in his iv, now what the is going on, I need answers before I come up there period.!
Someone needs to contact me asap! His food is cold every time they even get it to him and he has to ask at 7:30 and the rude nurse brought it and slammed it on the countertop and walked out came back a few minutes and rudly asked him if there's anything else he wants and yes he has nothing to drink so contact me asap or I'm coming up there

I will be honest. I'm usually the first person to degrade Piedmont Hospital (personal reasons) however my experience with the ED dept last night was nothing short of perfection. On if my two month old preemie twins, started coughing yesterday that turned into croup. In the middle of the night she got worse. We live an hour from Levine's so I always remember "the best doctor ever" telling me "Never drive by a place that has medical professionals just to get to another if the case is dire" so I did just that.
I was taken directly back by the front staff to get her vitals then taken directly to a room. Everyone was kind, comforting and reassuring ( I was a nervous wreck). Dr Martin and his nurse in the ER were absolutely AMAZING! They were prompt, patient, the best bed side manners and knowledgeable. I would just like to express my gratitude for the staff this morning/over night shift. I'm eternally grateful for their abilities and professionalism.

I am only giving two stars because of how kind the nurses were. They were honestly the only reason I would ever give this location more than one star. I had a serious mental health crisis that resulted in me visiting the ER in the early morning, probably around 5-6am. Although I was in crisis, I could manage to wait the hour and a half or more time it took for someone to see me, which then resulted in me waiting even longer for psychiatric help.
I am an understanding person, I know it's hard with Covid and everything else going on, but I was so appalled by the lack of communication in this place. I talked with someone in the Psychiatry department and asked if my dad could be excluded from the conversation. After we finished the conversation no one ever bothered to bring my Dad back in, or even let him know I had been moved to a different location.
The only way he found out I had been moved was after going into the back room himself and seeing I was no longer held there. As for the psychiatric ward. I was disgusted. I believe it was more of a waiting area for psychiatric patients, but regardless, I was appalled by what I saw. When I was first ushered into the psychiatric area, I was put into a small room with no windows, a tiny bed, and a VERY dirty environment that I watched someone lazily mop before moving on.
I want to say this place cares about its patients, because I saw how much the nurses cared and how they tried to do their best in unforgiving circumstances, but if this is the best we can do for the mentally ill during a crisis in Rock Hill. then I am outraged. Piedmont, you absolutely HAVE to advocate for your mentally ill patients. You HAVE to try and do right by them and get them to a location that will do right by them.
It shouldn't have taken my dad begging for me to be moved to a better location for y'all to move me. I was absolutely appalled by the psychiatric care given here. I love the nurses, thank you for your care, but please Rock Hill, do better by your neurodivergent folks.

Unless you are near death you do not want to go here for treatment. Besides poor medical care which is fairly well known in the York County, SC, and the Charlotte, NC areas, the billing dept is in the Phillipines. I'm attempting to find out my bill from an accident on Dec 12, 2021. My auto insurance company sent me a check, made out to me. I haven't received a statement of any kind from Piedmont so I have spent several hours trying to find what is owed and where to send a payment to Piedmont.
The 1st billing representative collected some pertinent information only to tell me that I have to call another company that also does contracted billing for Piedmont Medical Center. After a couple calls that go unanswered and then are disconnected I called the medical center and asked to speak to someone in administration. They said they were unable to tell me what if any I owed on my account but she would transfer me to the billing department.
The one in the Philippines! They can't competently deliver quality care, my children and grandchildren have been there also, but now they're constructing another medical center nearby. Please Advent Health, build one of your hospitals Rock Hill or Fr. Mill!

Piedmont medical center has a wonderful young lady who comes into the emergency room to collect insurance and personal information. Dominique helped my family in the early morning hours on 3/9/22. Dominique was friendly, compassionate and most of all very understanding. We have some unpleasant experiences in the past at Piedmont but this young lady was awesome! I hope Piedmont recognizes what a wonderful asset this young lady is!

I had the best experience with the EMS Team that came to my house to check out my 90 year old mother. EMS Technician Sherry gave my mother top-notched care and provided the same triage that she would for a 20 year old. She was very patient-centered. She pointed out what was wrong and suggested taking her to the hospital. She went above and beyond to make sure my mother was cared for until she was carefully handed over to the attending physician at Piedmont Medical Center. Sherry save my mother's life.

About 130am today I got a call from my dad's doctor that I needed to get to the hospital immediately. Once I arrived it took I tried several doors before I found away in. Then I had to wait about 10 for security for security to get there so he could escort us to the room. Another five minutes for him to take our picture and make badges for us to wear.
Then he walked up to the room only to find that my dad had passed away while we were waiting for security. I'm so hurt that this hospital's red tape and absurd policies prevented me from saying goodbye to my father. And both the attendant and security Just stood there with a dumb look on their face like "we needed to have badges."

Piedmont Medical erases bad reviews. Rude, Nasty people with NO morals and theives work there. No hero's only zeros. If your employee (George 765 apt. 301) steals from his neighbors, he would steal from the hospital and the patients. Please stop throwing your mask at my door. I dont want your germs. Please stop unlocking my car with the key you stole from my apt. Please stop breaking into my apt. Higher standard, yeah right.update: contact info given: no response. Guess that was just for SHOW

My husband was brought here almost 2 weeks ago because he suffered a trauma (6 broken ribs after a fall) and this is the closest "trauma center" per the EMT. He was initially attended to promptly and efficiently by the nurses and doctors and was told he'd be admitted. I felt okay leaving him in their care at that point. Unfortunately, I was told they had over 20 people waiting in the ER, that had been admitted, for rooms that were unavailable.
Over the following days the lack of communication from doctors as far as test results and treatment plan were non-existent. The neglect providing basic needs such as food and toilet facilities was completely lacking. My husband was so frustrated he requested to be discharged immediately against doctors wishes and I took him home where he has improved immensely. How sad this is the closest hospital we have to depend on for trauma or extreme emergency care. If at all possible avoid it and head to Atrium.

We recently gave birth in January and had a wonderful experience with the Piedmont Women's Center Labor & Delivery and Postpartum Recovery Center. Our doctors, nurses, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure my baby and I were safe, healthy, and well taken care of. My husband and I are extremely grateful to those we worked with during our time there. Thank you!

I just picked up my husband from the hospital and I needed to tell everyone how incredible the nurses doctors and staff are at Piedmont medical. We had to go into the emergency room on Monday (after the ice storm), with my husband's sugar over 1000, in DKA. We didn't know he was diabetic! Everyone immediately quickly addressed the problem, and they got him in a better ICU room, and then a really good Private room, Dr. Soriano, nurses Danielle, Jordan, Amelia and aide Bronte, ALL of them went over and beyond what was needed!
All were amazingly smart, dedicated, professional and kind! Each of them work harder than 10 people (sometimes 80 hours a week), and deserve our honor, respect and thanks! A blessing to you all!

Went to ED for deep arm laceration from serrated knife. Was triaged and bandaged, told to keep my arm above my heart. Then I was taken for unnecessary x-rays (presumably because I was commercially insured and they saw a way to pad their balance sheet), then spent 3.5 hours in packed waiting room with my arm raised and blood running down from the wound. Still, I was patient as I also work in healthcare and know the staff is under tremendous pressure due to the ongoing pandemic. Asked one of the intake folks that was playing games on her phone when I may be seen and was told she didn't know, that was a question for a nurse and none were available.
I sat back down for several minutes while she continued to play on her phone. I got up and walked out, drove to Atrium's ED in SouthPark with a bloody, gaping wound with musculature showing. Dealt with far more professional and empathetic care team and was out in an hour with seven stitches and no unnecessary x-rays.

My mom is currently a patient there, she was admitted last night due to heart issues. No communication with her and the only doctor that has seen her was the ER doctor this morning. She actually had to remind the nurses that she did not receive dinner tonight. That was around 8PM. Way to take care of your patients, Piedmont Medical.

Every doctor, tech, and nurse I met were amazing, truly the best. Dr. Dickinson is an excellent surgeon and has a wonderful bedside manner. The OR staff were so friendly and made me feel at ease. Mary, my nurse, was so kind and encouraging, telling me she was proud of me for standing up after surgery. I did have a really long wait after finding out that I had appendicitis.
It was very difficult to wait so long to get a room in the ER. I don't blame the staff in any way. There needs to be another hospital built in the area to handle the population here. Rock Hill and Fort Mill need another hospital.
