Since 1964, Virginia Beach Surgery has provided excellence in general, vascular, and trauma surgery to the population of Virginia Beach and surrounding communities. Despite continued change in the health care environment, our goal remains the same, namely the delivery of high quality, compassionate, and personalized health care to our patients. We use state-of-the-art medical and surgical techniques to help us achieve that goal. We are one of the few remaining independent surgical practices in the region.
Services
Virginia Beach Surgery was founded by Dr. Charles Earley in 1964. Other emeritus providers have included Drs Clarke and Morris. Since the inception of the practice our group of university trained surgeons has been proudly providing quality general and vascular care to the population of Virginia Beach and its surrounding communities.
In addition to performing a wide variety of surgical procedures, many patients are seen for long term disease monitoring via routine office visits. Minor surgical procedures can be performed in the office under local anesthesia at the discretion of the surgeon. This may include minor lump removal, small biopsies and medical device removal.
Our surgeons are board certified in general surgery. Board certified surgeons have met stringent requirements as specified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). In 1976, the ABS began granting certification for a ten year period. After ten years, a surgeon must be re-certified. The ABS reviews the surgeon's credentials, including continuing education in the field of surgery, professional respect by other surgeons in the community, and the on-going practice of surgery.The surgeon is then eligible to take a written exam, which must be passed to extend the certification for another ten years.

Dr. Dalton and his staff were absolutely amazing. I had to have my birth control implant (Nexplanon) removed. I was super nervous and they took very good care of me. Dr. Dalton answered all my questions was very thorough and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him and if I ever need any procedure in the future he will definitely be my go to. Keep up the good work guys.

I've had to have 2 surgeries several years apart and both were performed by Dr. McDermott. He gave me correct information about the procedures and everything went extremely well. He is the most knowledgeable and competent professional in the medical field that I have ever met. I STRONGLY recommend him to anyone who is having any type of surgery.
