Iron Run Orthopedics cares. Dr. Sewards listens, makes himself available, kicks butt when necessary, and prepares you to meet your challenges whatever they may be. The staff is exceptional and the atmosphere is truly one of a big, caring family. Everyone offers you acceptance and encouragement. Going there nourishes body, mind, and soul.

I can NOT say enough about Dr. Sewards and the staff at Iron Run Orthopedics. On Saturday February 3 I tore my ACL while kickboxing. I wasn't able to put any weight on it at all and waited til Monday morning to try to get in with a dr at the hospital. My friend had been coming to see Dr. S for about a month and she had been raving about his physical therapy and how amazing the place was.
I took a chance to see if he could see me that Monday morning and he said absolutely, come right down. He maneuvered my leg and told me it felt loose. It was so swollen, he drained it right in the office which relieved so much pressure I already thought he was an angel. He told me he believed it was my ACL and he sent me right away for an MRI. I was able to get my MRI the same day and when I called to let him know I had the results, he told me to come right back to the office and he would read them for me on the spot! (How many drs do you know that would do that?) After reading the results, he confirmed his suspicions of the torn ACL.
I met with the surgeon the next day and was told I needed to do 16 days of physical therapy to get a full range of motion back into my leg. After meeting with the surgeon I called back and asked if Dr. S would have time for me three times a week until my surgery on February 22. he did. I have been seeing him three times a week and I've been tested to my limits each time.
He cares about me and my recovery. He remembers me and my specific injury. He is sympathetic about my concerns on needing to get back to work by a certain date. The entire experience from that first time I met him has been absolutely unbelievable. I've never felt as cared for as much as I do with Dr. Sewards. 5 stars isn't enough to describe the way I feel about this establishment.
After my pt is over, I'll be joining their gym immediately. I feel like I'm part of a close family when I walk in there. I'll forever be grateful for the kindness and compassion that is being shown to me during one of the most challenging times of my life. I will always be proud to recommend Iron Run Orthopedics! Don't look any further, Dr. Sewards is your guy!
