Our offices are within the Sharp Outpatient Pavillion, designed specifically to meet the needs of individuals diagnosed with cancer.
Our surgical oncologist, Dr. Barone performs many specialty surgical procedures related to cancer diagnosis and treatment. Shown below and on Cytoreductive Surgery and Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy are some of these procedures and treatments. Sentinel Lymph Node Mapping: Technique used to identify the first lymph nodes which drain the area of the breast tumor.
Oncology Associates provides Surgical Oncology Services for Sharp Healthcare and Scripps Hospital systems. Our advanced services include specialty treatment programs for cytoreductive surgery and heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for peritoneal carcinomatosis (cancers that have spread within the abdominal cavity).
We believe in the importance of patient involvement in treatment planning. By helping patients acquire information concerning their disease and its treatment, patients can take a more active role in their care. We can provide information and education through physician-patient counseling, on-site patient resources, and through internet-based resources.
