With advanced age, I had become more concerned about driving at night and started to notice "halos" on headlights and road-side lights. Dr. Bruening diagnosed my cataracts some time ago and stated that the halos and some of my other vision complaints were indicators of the growing cataracts. Three of my family members had successful cataract surgery and urged me to stop stalling.
Dr. Brumm is certified in LASIK by the American Board of Eye Surgery (2000). This board in the only medical certification board that tests eye surgeons on actual case histories as well as on their surgical techniques and abilities. His certification places him in a distinctive class of eye surgeons dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in ophthalmic surgery for the benefit of you, the patient.

I did not have my LASIK/PRK surgery done here. I am sure the doctors are highly qualified, however I feel Brumm poorly handles paperwork and patient communication, etc. I brought my contacts with me to my initial eye exam. I asked two different people if they wanted my prescription for reference. They both denied they needed it. When leaving this appointment, I was told I could go back to wearing contacts for a month as the surgery was in distant future. However, they di want me to return for a glaucoma pressure test, no restrictions to contact wearing for this.
Less than two weeks later I was contacted on the day of the appointment that they were remeasuring my eyes before surgery that day (I'd gone back to wearing contacts) and they wanted me without contacts but to bring them with me. Since I was already at work, I could not provide prescription information that day. Remeasuring could not obviously be done.
I called the office the next day and provided my prescription. They were going to order me a set of contacts to try for monovision to make sure I would be happy with LASIK results. A month later I have not gotten those contacts and I am a month out from surgery. I call the office to see if we will be ready for surgery and inform them they never got those trial contacts. Becky asked me to get her my current prescription again because she cannot find the information I gave her a month ago. Today I decided to start the process over with another practictitioner. I am not comfortable with the mishandling and lack of organization.

On Wednesday night, my baby scratched my eye. Talk about pain. My husband called Brumm for me in the morning and they got me right in. I saw Dr Cleaver, who was kind, gentle, and used a program to show me exactly the size and location of the scratches on my eye (there were 2), after he measured them. He then put a contact on my eye to protect it as it healed. Oh, I should mention here the lovely numbing drops they used.
Those were fantastic! I ended up calling the office before close because my eye hurt much worse than before I had the contact placed. The tech I talked with asked me if I was using the drops Dr Cleaver gave me - she mentioned 2 drops, but I'd only been given one. She said "the gel drops?" And I said, no. Should I have some? She said no. Turns out, yes, that would have made my experience significantly less painful.
I don't wear glasses and therefore have never worn contacts. The next morning I called to be seen early because I was in excruciating pain throughout the night and still that morning. (My appt was at 4) and they got me right in, which I was thankful for yet again! I went to the other location to see Dr Cleaver who was again great, and the tech I saw made the whole experience way more pleasant. Dr. Cleaver said my eye was very dry which was contributing a lot to the pain.
He removed the contact, his bedside manner was great especially when I couldn't stop twitching haha. He used a more dull instrument on my eye so he wouldn't poke my eye (big YAY for that) and set up a follow up so I'd be able to see a dr if for any reason my eye wasn't okay. But I canceled because it was. His instructions were great, other than the lack of instruction for the eyeball that had never used a contact before. Oh, and the wait was very long the first time and pretty long the 2nd, which contributes to the star off. But I recommend and would go again without question if needed.

Incompetent staff optometrist. My wife had to go twice for the wrong prescription provided by 2 different optometrist. Beware of this clinic optometrist. Always ask for the MD to confirm the optometrist assessment. It is best to stay away because doctor (MD) does not do vision assessments in this clinic and hired optometrists are incompetent underexposed and likely undertrained.

I called Dr. brumms office to get scheduled they refused to schedule me until I was paid in full. It's $100. I told them I would pay the full amount tomorrow. She said that she could not schedule me until it's paid. We are in the middle of a global pandemic. My neurologist put in a referral for me to see a new optometrist.

Love Brumm Eye Center. I recently was helped by Carissa Stripe - who helped me fix my prescription sunglasses I purchased at Brumm. I have been a patient for many years and purchased several pairs of glasses there. Brumm Eye & Laser Vision was recommended to me by a friend for an eye condition that I could not get resolved after several weeks of treatment. They quickly had my eye issue under control and figured out a long term treatment that is working great. After weeks of suffering, I was very appreciative of their direct approach. I had Lasik done and Dr. Brumm and his staff were amazing. Let's be honest, it can be a little scary to have people doing things to your eyes, especially with lasers. Everyone there made me feel completely at ease and comfortable. It was a great experience. They also were very educational about the procedure and have been great with post-op care. I would recommend Dr. Brumm and his staff with no hesitation.

My mate has had many problems with his eyes. We call The Brumm Eye Clinic, and they see him right away and take care of the problem before it gets worse. I see them every six months because of some chronic conditions. They have kept my vision normal for many years. I'm never tempted to go anywhere else. All the doctors are great.

Two stars only because the doctors are very nice and knowledgeable. The front desk staff and opticians aren't the nicest and very rude. They often have snide comments and we do have ears! We hear you talking about others so we can only assume you talk about us while we are there or after we leave. Listen to what we want, not what you think we want!

I recently had an eye exam at one of their locations. The doctor and nurse were very friendly, efficient, thorough and helpful. It was a great experience! In looking at glasses, we had a miscommunication about insurance (mostly my fault because I hadn't done my homework), but got a personal call back from them afterwards that straightened everything out. I really appreciated the follow up and will definitely be using them again!

11/14/16 I was referred to the Brumm clinic to remove a cataract. I called in at 1PM on a Friday. The person answering the phone said the scheduler was on the phone. I waited several minutes, and she came back on telling me she would have the scheduler call me back. At 4:30 still no call back. So I called back in and left a voice message this time.
They closed at 5 P.M. still no call back. I was hoping to get it done before driving my sisters to Arizona after December 1st. When I called in today, Monday, a person told me that the dr. would have to see me first.before scheduling surgery. The 1st date, they said they had was December 30,2016, and the surgery would be later, when I would have to pay my yearly deductible first.
I explained my situation, but they wouldn't try to do anything sooner. I called back and cancelled my appointment an hour later. At 4:45 today the scheduler called to see what I wanted. I explained that I had switched laser clinics, and said "I had hoped she would have called back last Friday to save me time." She said, "she just listened to my voice for the first time." That is 12 business hours of time.
That seems like a call back isn't considered good practice. Then, she said, I am glad you got it taken care of." It really sounded more like I am glad, we don't have to be the clinic to do it. They may have great surgeons, but I certainly didn't feel they cared about me at all. With that kind of response time, I would be hesitant, to rely on them in an emergency.

I have been going to Dr. Brumm for many years. I have had nothing but great experiences every time. About two years ago I had cataract surgery with corrective lens implants. The surgeries were flawless, and having good vision for the first time in my life (I'm in my 70's) is nothing short of miraculous. My husband had the same surgeries about a year ago with the same results.
The entire staff is great. Dr. Bruce Brumm and Dr. Matt Brumm are both fantastic. My husband and I will both be grateful to Dr. Brumm and his whole medical staff for the good vision we are now enjoying, and the wonderful way we have been treated by all. I can't say enough good about them.

Let's face it, no one enjoys going to any doctor's appointment, and I'm no different. However, Brumm Eye & Laser Vision makes it absolutely painless. The staff is very friendly. I've never sat in the waiting room for more than 5 minutes. The doctors and techs (?) are very thorough and tell you everything they are doing and why. It is a very clean and comfortable office. I'm in and out of there in 30 minutes every time. Thank you Brumm!

I am so pleased and excited about my procedure and experience with Dr. Brumm. Staff was so nice and knowledgeable about everything and I really feel like everyone truly cared about me. I am able to see so clear and that makes me so happy! I highly recommend this service to anyone considering Lasik eye surgery. I stopped in for a long over due exam and new glasses today - wow what a great experience. The staff was very nice, thorough, and knowledgeable about the whole process. Everything checked out great (a bit of a tweak to the prescription), and I was able to find a great new pair of glasses! The price seemed about right, and the frames were definitely more durable than discount stores. Brumm Eye never fails to impress and I'll continue to be a loyal customer for years to come.

I just stopped in for an exam and new specs at the Lakeside office. The staff was super nice, very helpful, the office was bright and cheerful, and the exam was made as painless as possible. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable, explained each step of the process, and were very thorough. The frames were a bit on the higher side, but previous pairs from Brumm Eye lasted for a *long time* and were high quality.
I figure a bit more up front to get a rocking pair of glasses versus going elsewhere for cheap ones that will scratch or fall apart with minimal use. I was given a plethora of choices, and found a great pair and it fit my style. A big plus there. Over all I cannot recommend them enough. Fast, efficient, courteous, and welcoming staff that did not rush me or push extra services on me that I did not need.

Each time I called, they were extremely helpful and made me feel welcome. I visited two other Laser Vision correction companies in Omaha, and they did not treat me like they wanted my business. I'm so happy I found Brumm and have recommended multiple people here! Everyone that works here is so nice.
