Our team at Digby Eye Associates is actively involved in the enrichment of the field of ophthalmology. We regularly participate in collaborative research and projects with distinguished academic institutions both nationally and abroad. As recognized thought leaders, Digby Eye Associates serves as an educational resource for other physicians.
Dr. Digby is one of the most experienced surgeons in the nation in the implantation of the ReStor Multifocal Lens implants for the correction of cataracts and the aging eye (presbyopia). He is also a leader in astigmatism correction using both the laser and specialized Toric lenses. Dr. Glenn specializes in the management of cataracts, glaucoma and diabetic eye disease as well as routine eye care.
Don Digby, M.D. a native of Atlanta, Georgia is a corneal fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who moved his practice to Greensboro, NC in 1984. His practice focuses on anterior segment surgery and medical ophthalmology. He was one of the first surgeons in the country providing true laser cataract surgery using the LenSx Laser.
Dr. Parker joined Digby Eye Associates in 2008. She is a North Carolina native and graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Spanish. She then attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Optical Sciences and Doctorate of Optometry degrees.

I called to make an appointment with an ophthalmologist for a medical eye issue and they scheduled an appointment with an OD rather than an MD (which I found out when I arrived). They charged an additional $40 on top of my $40 co-pay for an additional exam that was supposedly very important but I still don't know what that exam was (nobody told me).
The OD examined me quickly, didn't give me an exact diagnosis, and prescribed a cortisone ointment that I found out later could give me glaucoma or cataract with long-term use. They didn't schedule a re-check, and really the place seems to be more of a place for eyeglasses and that's it. I went to Greensboro Ophthalmology and they were excellent. For medical eye issues, go there instead.

Was recommended to come by here this evening after an ER visit for some eye troubles that could have been a result from a fall. ER told me Dr. Glenn would be in at the office until 8:30 and to go there immediately after the ER visit. I went by Digby and got there around 8:20. Doors were locked, nobody answered, tried calling and got an automated message.
So I went home. I get a call from Dr. Glenn asking if I was coming by. I explained the situation and said I had already left and was home now. Dr. Glenn was very rude and condescending arguing with me over the phone. Said, condescendingly my appointment was 8:30 and normally you don't leave before your appointment and he had walked out into the parking lot at 8:30 and I wasn't there, to which I explained again that I wasn't told I had to be there at a specific time I was told he would be there UNTIL 8:30 and to go right after my ER visit.
No one had said I needed to sit in my car in a dark parking lot and wait for the Dr to come outside at exactly 8:30. Again not faulting Dr. Glenn for the miscommunication, only for the unprofessional response. I definitely will not be making a follow up appointment with this office.

Everyone at Digby Eye Associates has been so nice and helpful including Dr. Glen and Dr. Parker as well as Cheryl in the contacts department and Margaret in the glasses department and all the other staff members. I am so glad that I started coming here last year. Everyone does their very best to make sure I am totally satisfied.

I visited Digby Eye Associates for the first time recently. I am extremely happy with my experience! Jordan and Amber gave an excellent first impression helping me with directions while I was driving. Dr. Patel and her assistants gave me the best eye exam that I have ever had. She also had me to come back in to double check how I was doing with my contacts before ordering. Cheryl that works with patients and their contacts was so patient with me and made me feel like a pro after spending time with me. Linda that works with the eyeglass frames was also patient and so very helpful with my frame choice.
I am extremely particular about my frames and Digby Eye has a great selection of designer frames. It was refreshing to be able to do everything in one place. They all work as a team to give their patient the best possible experience with eye care.

I am grateful for the team at this practice. They have taken incredible care of my eyes over many years. They take time with the patients to answer all questions and they truly listen to what the patient has to say from the exam to picking out new frames. I recently decided to order sunglasses with readers in them. WHO KNEW you could do that! I am excited to be able to read on the beach while protecting my eyes! They also offered me a package deal on the frames I selected for my prescription readers. I am looking forward to receiving them!

We went to Digby eye center twice because my wife was still not seeing well with her new prescription eyeglasses. We were told both times that the prescription was correct. We were also told in both visits that my wife did not have cataracts. This caused my wife deep concern because her eyesight was very blurry. We decided to get a second opinion at Shapiro eye care and with a half an hour my wife was told she had cataracts in both eyes the cause of her poor vision. It had been only two months prior that we were told she did not have this issue at Digby eye care. Very disappointing would not go back there. K

My first appointment here was a pleasure. I found the support staff to be outstanding & the eye doc I say, totally efficient, informative & friendly. Unfortunately, things went down hill from there. The doc I saw left the practice, two appointments were cancelled by them & when the scheduled appointment day finally arrived, I waited 45 minutes in the waiting room (after waiting 10 minutes in my car) and still wasn't called in. I rescheduled & left but have decided that this isn't the practice for me. So sad.
