We came here for the immigration medical test. The ladies at the front desk are nice and work hard trying to do their best. But is something wrong that made us lost several days making us driving to the office to ask to send the lab order right, asked them in person about our lab results that didn't know they had it already. The info was not right in the papers, etc.
At the end they took so long that when they told us we just needed to pick up the papers, they said we needed another lab job an another vaccine. They put that vaccine and 10 mins later they changed their mind and said you need another vaccine and you won't go to the lab. They have been changing their mind so many times and doing so much mistakes in the papers that I told them is no professional. Is not right so many mistakes and changes of mind. The price was good but they need to be more organized and another person in the front desk. There is a lot of people waiting must of the time.

Please avoid this! First, the doctor is super busy, it is always a long wait and the doctor is really rush everytime and you have no time to ask any question. Go to some group practice pediatrician! Also when we try to transfer our record to a new pediatrician, they are not cooperative at all. I have called multiple times and sent multiple emails, and they keep saying that the doctor herself is handling this and they can only leave a note for her. But the doctor never took any action and we have to visit the new pediatrician with bare hands. Horrible experience! Please avoid this!

I had horrible experience with this doctor a few years ago. She did twice the same vaccine for my daughter! Sorry it is not a answer! Every appointment we are waited for her. She charged the office for the appointment (Mountain view to San Jose) when we were at one of them. Now, after a few years with another pediatrics I can say - Sima Stein it is not a good doctor. And want to say for everyone- RUN!

I am never the type to write reviews but after today I will never be coming back here again, I gave this dr several chances but today was the last straw, I went for my baby's 4 month appt, first I waited an hr to be seen, when she finally came in to check my baby she did not go over anything with me regarding his development, milestones etc. NOTHING.
She didn't go over which vaccines he was going to be getting not one person told me which vaccines he was going to be getting until I asked the receptionist at the end of the appointment. My baby has a pretty severe flat head and I wanted to get a referral to a specialist to get it fixed sooner than later and dr Stein did not want to give me a referral she said to just keep repositioning his head when he's laying down. He's 4 months now and his head is not getting better baby's usually start helmet therapy at 4-6 month why would she want to us to keep waiting?
She then said that I have medi-cal and medi-cal doesn't cover a helmet. So just because I have medi-cal we're not going to fix his head? So unprofessional. Dr Stein was not in the room for more than 5 minutes and rushed everything when I would ask a question she would stand outside the door ready to leave as if she was annoyed that I was asking questions. Lastly the nurse who administered his shots was so rude, not friendly what so ever, if you don't like working with kids don't work at a pediatric office, simple as that. DONT LET THE GOOGLE REVIEWS FOOL YOU.

On Sunday afternoon I started receiving email updates for my forms and got an appointment for Monday afternoon to come in and sign my forms. When I went in I found out that the person usually in charge of the front desk Nissa Cuen was out on vacation last week and someone else was covering for her temporarily. My experience in dealing with Nissa was really positive and she was very helpful and prompt in getting the corrections done and getting our forms completed.
I was in and out in about 35 mins. During this time, I could notice her working tirelessly answering phone calls and taking care of the constant stream of patients trickling in. Therefore I give the office 5 stars and hope that my experience from last week was only a temporary blip.

I tried to give chances to Sima Stein, but today was the last straw for me. My 21 month old has had a persistent fever for 2 going on 3 days so I call the office for advice to see if I should bring her in. The incompetent receptionist that answers the phone scheduled a virtual appointment for me at 5pm for the following day. I did not request this time, the receptionist provided this time for me.
I join the call the day of the appointment at 5pm and no one ever joins. I look at my emails and see that the office sent me an unprofessional email stating that the scheduled appointment was set for a time that the office is closed. I am now furious, they have my phone number why didn't they call me for such information? I am taking care of a sick toddler I am not on my phone constantly checking my emails when an appointment was set for me.
You would think because of the current pandemic that more diligence would be used when a toddler is exhibiting symptoms of illness, but nope not Dr Sima Stein staff. This was the last straw for me & I am finding a new pediatrician. My daughter will not be treated without urgency when ill by this disgraceful staff again. My recommendation is STAY FAR AWAY

If you're considering an immigration medical exam here, I do not recommend this doctor's office. I had multiple issues while engaging with this office, wasting quite a bit of my time. First, the doctor doesn't explain what vaccinations are needed in advance - I had to go to CDC website and do my own research. This location does not have an on-site lab feature; wasn't communicated before.
I had to go to BioReference location for lab test. The nurse failed three times for measuring my blood pressure, making my arm feel numb. Lastly, they don't abide with appointments. I was told to come in the morning to pick up my document but doctor wasn't there. It was preventable with a single phone call asking for an adjustment. Overall this was a bad experience.

I was a patient of Stein's for a year, I just recently changed doctors thankfully. If you are a disabled/chronically ill/spoonie patient DO NOT go to her. I came to her due to chronic pain issues and a request to be referred to a rheumatologist as my symptoms lined up to their speciality. She refused despite my symptoms and my several next appointments at her clinic.
She prescribed me a high dosage of ibuprofen aka an over counter pain killer which DECIMATED my health. When she found out I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and Generalised Anxiety Disorder she blamed it on that and said all of my symptoms were psychosomatic and I was just attention seeking. I just saw my new doctor recently and on the first appointment he agreed right away that I should see a rheumatologist and validated my symptoms and concerns.
If you want an actually caring and investigatory doctor, please do not go here. Doctor Stein is NOT what you want from a doctor. She had made me break down several times as she made me feel hopeless, crazy, and that I will never find out why I am in so much pain.

Dr. Stein is good. But the staff, oh god. 8 hours after NOT receiving the prescription at the pharmacy, I suggested (kindly!) to have a conf call with CVS to sort things out. And then the attendant simply said "I can call myself" and hang up. And that's just one example. So Dr. Stein, a word of advice - being a good doctor is not enough! If the administrative staff is rude and couldn't care less about your patients (which are children!) - you should replace them.

Since our Son was born in 2017, I have nothing but the good things to say about Dr. Stain and her staff. She would always follow up on all our son's treatments, even accommodate us with a the same day appointment, if there was an urgent need. We are highly recommending Dr. Stain to all the new parents who are concern on selecting their pediatric doctor.

The best pediatrician I know. Every time we visit doctor I feel that kids health is a top priority for her. No over- or under- treatment, just right every time. We got tons of useful advice during all the time. Despite having huge amount of patients every day she always spend us much time on us as need to cover all concerns. Sima thanks for being our doctor.

I've been going to Dr. Stein all my life. I warn you, find a better doctor. She doesn't communicate at all. I have medication I need prescribed to me every month but she only ever sends one with no refill every month. I always call in 2 weeks in advance to to the office requesting a refill as well as calling my pharmacy to request a refill because I know she never does.
This is the last straw. I'm frustrated that I go through this every month, it wastes my time every month. Even appointments are awful, we wait 1-2 hours AFTER our appointment time until we're even SEEN and it's not even a 5 minute meeting with the doctor. Today I had the issues with my prescription and had to go into the office and they then tell me I need a physical before I can even get a refill which they NEVER mentioned when I called ahead of the time. I'm TIRED OF THEN WASTING MY TIME. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. DONT GO HERE

Dr. Stein has been my children's doctor since 2010. She is so good with my children, and when they are sick, she takes her time to explain to us their treatment and care at home. She put my oldest on allergy therapy, and it has completely transformed his life. He used to miss 20+ days of school each year because his allergies would turn into severe sickness.
After the therapy, he only gets sick once or twice per school year, and his allergies have almost completely gone away. She also treats him for ADHD, and we've been happy with her care. I would give 5 stars if her office staff (San Jose location ) gave the same level of professionalism and attentiveness that Dr. Stein gives. She used to have a receptionist that was so good--if she said she'd call you back, she would.
She would follow up with prescriptions, and take good care of Dr. Stein's clients. Unfortunately, this level of care has suffered immensely. Either the staff is overwhelmed by their duties, or they just don't know how to do their jobs or provide good customer service. Follow up is a huge problem. This could be remedied by hiring the right people capable of multitasking. Other than that, Dr. Stein is great!
