If you are interested in contact lenses is contact lens exam covered under your vision or medical plan?. Please sign in at the front desk when you arrive. The staff will collect all the above mentioned information. After check in you will be asked to have a seat in our waiting room. Once you are seated, please check back in with a staff member if you have not been seen in 20 minutes.
We are pleased that you are interested in our Patient Portal. This online tool gives you the flexibility to access your health information and other resources at your leisure any time of the day from any location. Since the Patient Portal is available over the internet, you can use it from virtually anywhere.
Our Optical Shop is conveniently located on site. We specialize in assisting with frame selection and advising on appropriate lens designs. Our attention to detail is what separates the staff of Shelby Eye Centers from our competition. At Shelby Eye Centers Optical Service we carry a large selection of prescription eyewear from today's leading manufacturers including Oakley, Nike, Tura, Flexon, Silhouette, Aspire, BCBG, Nine West, Guess, Jessica McClintock, and Izod.We also carry the most popular sunglass designs including Oakley, Nike and Costa.

In August of 2018 I had a scheduled appointment to see Dr. Bogan for an eye exam (who by the way is an excellent surgeon) upon my arrival to the front desk, the receptionist confirmed my appt and asked for their co-pay. In my haste i didn't bring cash/debit. I didn't want to drive all the way back home to get the cash and miss the appt. I offered my AMEX card, she replies "see the sign, we don't take AMEX".
What major medical facility doesn't accept all major forms of credit cards? I then asked if I could be billed or can bring it at another time. That was also refused. She then asked me to have a seat. After waiting for thirty(30) minutes she calls me back to the desk to tell me that I will have to reschedule. I've had cataract surgery done on both eye via this office, I had two previous follow up eye exams and I was refused services because of a measly $35.00.
It is now October and I still can't get an appointment Until sometime in December. The receptionist in this case showed a complete lack of concern for patient care which reflects on the entire office. In my opinion her actions were biased, callous, and petty. She also showed a lack general common sense, patient care and customer service experience.
In short, a Blooming IDIOT! I know it won't matter too much to the office in general but I will NOT come back to this office, and I will advise others to avoid this office and stay away form the receptionist from HELL! There are many other facilities that I can take my business to. Signed Simply angry ex-patient Here it is four months later and the only response was to quote policy and offering no solutions. In hindsight, lasik surgery may have been a better more modern solution to cataract surgery

Shelby Eye Center has both physicians and an optical shop. I have seen Dr. Cline before. She is personable and I felt like she took good care of me. I didn't feel rushed, but the opposite; she took her time to make sure I got the proper prescription. The optical shop, although their selection is limited, has some good brands such as Oakley, BCBG, and Calvin Klein. Their staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

I have been a patient of Shelby Eye Center for years. The service I receive both from the physicians, technicians and optical staff has been thorough and professional. The staff is well trained and competent. The facility is up to date and full of new technology. Thank you Shelby Eye Center for your help in making my vision and eye health its best!
