Treatments may help, but the business and billing office won't make you feel better. As a patient your life probably doesn't revolve around health insurance and billing, and as an out-of-network provider they handle each contract individually. meaning there is room for error and a lack of clarity at the individual patient level not just once at the administrative level between experts. Unfortunately, both times I engaged with CalEar I felt that they were not clear about their insurance mechanics and the resulting costs, and both times they expected me to pay more than I was given the impression of.

One email even suggested my insurance coverage for something was 70%, when it was actually much, much less. There's really no excuse on their part considering this is their area of expertise and at this point I believe they're operating in a somewhat predatory manner. These are big decisions for patients and omitting detail or misrepresenting insurance facts through a lack of clarity then ultimately does not become their responsibility once the charges hit the patient. (and regardless of what was implied) A few hundred here, a few thousand there. It's painful for you, but at scale it's great for their practice. Be very, very careful. They hope you won't care. But, there's plenty of other people here that do.

At the risk of sounding redundant, may I highly recommend this practice? I feel like I have totally new DNA, the transformation in my health has been amazing these last few months. And I went to all kinds of doctors in my network prior to seeing Dr. Hester and his team. I've never felt better. Experts, caring, focused, results-oriented. go see the good folks at CEI.

Lady at the reception desk could not hear what I was saying she kept asking me to repeat over and over. "We do not take insurance" right on my face before we even talked about anything else, unfriendly.
