Our son's primary care doctor referred my son to Blanca Durand. He had been having snoring issues and his tonsils were severely swollen. During our first visit with Blanca, she recommended that my son first take Flonase and allergy medicine for a month to see if it improves his snoring. She was late to our appointment and when we were seen, she seemed rushed.
Fast forward a month later, my son has another appointment with Blanca. His symptoms haven't improved and his snoring and tonsils have gotten worse. Blanca was late yet again for our appointment and when my son was seen, she barely looked at his tonsils and did not evaluate him. All that was said was that it would take a month before he would be able to schedule his sleep study.
A month? Okay, at that point we've had two appointments with mediocre bedside service and another month before my sons breathing is evaluated. Time for a second opinion. I schedule an appointment with Dr. Perry-Gilkes from the ENT INSTITUTE. She did a thorough evaluation of my son, listened to his breathing intently, and checked his tonsils. She immediately noticed that my son had an infection on his tonsils and recommended that he takes a steroid for five days and takes amoxicillin for 10 days.
My sons breathing has improved significantly, no more snoring. I say all this to say two things. One, Blanca is totally incompetent and neglectful. She did not do a thorough evaluation of my child and did not do show an ounce of care for my child's well-being. Second, Blanca intentionally did not treat my son and prolonged his doctors visits so that my son's symptoms would get progressively worse so that the results from the sleep study would recommend that my son would need surgery.
Mind you my son is black. So her neglect could stem from a number of things. Two of them being a lack of care for people who aren't Lantinx and wanting to make a higher profit. Stay away from this practice and please keep your children away from here

The doctor is nice. But the scheduler ruined my experience. She called to schedule my sons tube appointment and she told me they had an opening for the next day. We repeatedly said "tomorrow" over the phone. I get there, after I've taken a few hours off of work and the front desk lady tells me it's for the next day. Also, the scheduler was super vague and borderline rude over the phone for no apparent reason.

If I would have seen the low rating before I wouldn't have went here. The wait was really long and the office manager Melissa is a rude purposefully un helpful individual. In todays climate never go to an office that wont accept secondary insurances that practice alone is suspect. The specialist were nice.

The doctors here have always been good to my kids. When i came to me not so much. I ended up in the hospital twice after a nasal cyst removal. When I called them they dismissed me like I was irrelevant. They never came to the hospital after they were called twice. They did not care what happened. After this happened, I learned that other patients also felt the same way.
If you want a doctor who cares about your health and safety, this is not the place to go. I don't like giving a bad review but I almost died from this and the doctor was no where to be found.

Outstanding ENT office. The staff is so nice, and everyone is great with my son who is autistic. If they don't answer the phone immediately, they will get back to you ASAP. Staff is always so helpful and willing to go above and beyond to help the parents out and to make the experience a good one for kids. I wouldn't take my son anywhere else!

The staff was nice, but Dr. Durand was horrible. I went there because I got a referral from my primary doctor but never again will I go there again. I know we're in a pandemic but the doctor was so standoffish she had me examined my on jaw and then try to tell me that's why I have an ear infection! It was the worse doctor's experience I've ever felt with in my life. I definitely told my doctor not to send anyone else there.

Doctor did not understand condition. Luckily I was able to explain what my previous doctor found so that he could provide refills for the ear drop and salve I was already using with success. The biggest problem was that they wanted me to use their audiologist for a hearing test while I was there. My condition has nothing to do with hearing. (The skin in my outer ear canal is irritated and my ears produce too much wax because of it.
My hearing is not affected.) I said I did not need a hearing test. They assured me my insurance would cover the test and "just wanted to check to make sure." Of course the insurance company kicked the claim back. Now they want me to pay hundreds of dollars for a test I did not want or need. It's like someone running up to your car at a stoplight, washing it as you wave them away and then demanding you pay them for it. The whole thing seems like a scheme to increase their profits. No wonder the insurance company wouldn't pay.
