Pediatric & Adult: We treat all medical and surgical problems in the pediatric and adult population. In chronic infection both medical and surgical treatments are offered depending upon the situation. All testing of the middle and inner ear is done on site in order to assist diagnosis. Surgery to correct eardrum perforations, repair middle ear bone deficits and treat cholesteatoma are performed.
Implants are used to repair middle ear bones and may be used in some cases of nerve deafness. Stapedectomy: Generally for otosclerosis but also performed if the stapes is diseased due to chronic infection.

This is a great and needful perspective in addressing an issue so prevalent and debilitating. Although millions of people could use good advice about hearing loss, it turns out that asking can be difficult. And, accurate advice is hard to come by. This book directly addresses the problem: it provides useful, first-hand advice from people who have experienced hearing loss themselves, along with accurate treatment information from an experienced audiologist.
Advances in surgical techniques over the past 40 years have enabled many people to regain part or all of their hearing. WHARF has been instrumental in these advances. The Lippy Group for Ear, Nose & Throat surgeons have performed over 30,000 major hearing operations. They have developed many of the instruments and prosthesis used in these surgeries.

I usually don't like to post negative reviews, but I feel it is necessary to prevent others from being taken advantage of. Dr. Berenholz refused to look at my sinuses. I waited weeks to get in and he would not even examine me. I was billed $300 for the total amount of 4 minutes he spent with me and a hearing test. Please do yourselves a favor and save your money for a Dr. that is empathetic and cares more about you than the money he can make off of you.
I give 3 stars because the front desk staff is very kind and caring. I can't say the same about the Dr. He deserves less than one star for taking advantage of people. If you can't look at people's sinuses, why did you become an "ENT" in the first place?

I was seen by Dr. Barrenholz of the Lippy Group suffering from severe vertigo, along with other acute symptoms. He was quite certain I was suffering from Meniere's disease, and began treatment. On my follow up appointment, with no real explanation, he no longer felt I had the disease, and said he couldn't help me. I'm not sure where this man received his license to practice, but I highly recommend he be removed from this practice, and no longer be allowed to evaluate patients. I do NOT recommend seeing these people for any severe issues!

Years ago I had surgery there by Dr. Farmer and it was wonderful. The office went above and beyond to get me scheduled before my insurance dropped the surgery I needed for insurance. I was really grateful and the entire process was 5 stars. But, I sent my husband to see Dr. Berenholz and he was dismissive of his problem. He has had an issue his whole life, and the doctor told him it was his (5 year) neck injury and to get physical therapy. We will now be driving to Cleveland to find a doctor that will listen to him.
