Lighthouses have long been a symbol for a place of refuge, a guidepost for travelers finding their way on a journey, and as a warning of avoidable dangers. Family Medicine has always aspired to these same goals: to be a place of comfort in a time of need, to guide the family on their personal journeys, and to serve as a warning in our role of preventative medicine.

There's not much to say about this office-. They have no consideration for their patients. You can't get anyone to pick up the phone do you leave a message - nobody calls back. You leave a message because your kids are sick and nobody calls back. It takes 6+ months for them to process a visit against insurance. There's also no follow up after a visit.

Dr. LaCroy is great Dr. Unfortunately he is teamed up with office Mgr. David. I went for anual physical. The lady at the front desk was rude very unpleasant to deal with. I choose to leave instead of being treated with their unprofessional attitude. When I walked into the parking lot she came running out saying she gave someone's else's driver license and insurance card.
I gave them to her and she extended mine out to me and when I put my fingers on them take them she pulled back 4 times and on the fifth time she let them go. I am 65 year old person and never been dealt with rudeness and unprofessional attitude to patient. This used to e great until this mgr. took over. Since he has taken over there, all new employees every year. They don't return phone messages and their web portal has lots of issues.

Dr. Lecroy is an Excellent physician. I am leaving this as three stars as it has been very difficult to schedule an appointment with any of the staff. The last 6 times I've called, I've had to leave several voicemails and did not receive a call back. Additionally, they will tell you that they will accept your insurance but then later charge you a full amount and tell you that they "don't take your specific type of insurance" so make sure to triple check before walking in.

Katy McNaughton was great. Other staff forced me to chose another primary physician today. I've had 2 televisits over approx. past 2 months. Was told today that one couldn't be scheduled to discuss results from blood draw, I'd have to come in person. I wanted an explanation of lab results without having to find a sitter for my kids during christmas break.
A single sentence on the online results portal "normal levels" is somewhat comforting but offers nothing in the way of a solution to my complaint. This was what I was told to refer to instead of a phonecall/appointment with Katy. Even after I explained that no diagnosis, prognosis, or plan of action for my initial complaint was not going to be acceptable the staff I spoke to this morning over the phone didn't seem to understand that concept.
Surely I'm not the only person who goes to the Dr. expecting results. Here's an illustration. Guy takes his car to the mechanic and says "my brakes aren't working". The mechanic says "everything looks normal to me". Didn't think I needed to explain this but I couldn't manage to convey the message over the phone. You're in the business of providing care in response to medical complaints. If you intend to refuse my patronage, just do it. If you're still in business and intended to keep me as a customer, you should have LISTENED TO ME.

Let me start of by saying that I really like Nicole (NP), Valerie (PA) and Dr. Lecroy. They are all very knowledgeable, compassionate and helpful. However, the front desk staff is HORRIBLE. Last week while in a very remote are of western North Carolina, I was bitten by a Deer Tick. I called and asked if I could speak to Valerie or Nicole, I needed antibiotics called in for me ASAP.
I was told no, they were much too busy and had appointments. I asked again and explained how serious this could be as Deer Ticks are known to carry Lyme disease. I was once again told that was not an option, that I could make an appointment for when we got back in town. I hung on to the tick and had it tested. IT WAS POSITIVE FOR LYME DISEASE AND ANAPLASMA!
I had to go to a CVS Minute Clinic as soon as we were back in Texas as it was a Saturday. I pray that I got on antibiotics in time and that I do not end up with Lyme or Anaplasmosis. This all could have been avoided had the front desk taken the time to quickly talk to Nicole, Valerie or Dr. Lecroy about the situation. Having seen them for several years, I know that they would have taken my call had they been given the opportunity.

I love this place and my physician that i see, but the front desk people are the rudest i have ever encountered. no greeting, just an eye roll when they see me, and a "YES?!" when asking what i'm there for. rude on the phone, don't call you back. hopefully they see this and can do something about it. they ruin the niceness of the place.

I cannot believe the staff were so rude. But after reading other reviews, it totally makes sense. This is the place you have to avoid, they do not care about your health or medical situation or you as a patient. I got my annual check up done here including the lab test. Some test numbers were beyond normal and it was clearly mentioned in the lab report but the doctor and the staff did not care to even provide a mere consultation afterwards.
I had to personally visit the clinic after failing to get them on the phone but I wish I never had gone there or at the first place. They even said that they cannot call back each patient and let them know even if the reports are bad! I can only wish someone would give them better training and expertise to treat their patient and of course to communicate.

I came to visit Dr. Lecroy's office after my previous doctor of 10 years quit taking my insurance. I wish I would have found this office sooner. The staff is incredible, kind, and they spend time with you and really seem to care about providing quality care. I cannot recommend this office enough. I'm truly blown away and will continue to be a patient here for as long as they'll let me.

I've historically never been a very "doctory" person, however I actually look forward to visiting Lighthouse Family Medicine. Doctor LeCroy and his team invest time into learning about their patients and I've never felt rushed to get in and get out like I have at other doctors in the past. Can not recommend them enough.
