The practice of medicine is constantly changing, and the cornerstone of good medical care is mutual understanding, respect and trust between physician, patient and parent. Our goal is to offer your child the highest standard of pediatric care. We're committed to your child's health and helping your child stay that way, but you're a key player in making that happen.
Pediatrics is the specialty dealing with newborns, infants, toddlers, children and adolescents. It includes both the evaluation and treatment of well and ill children. As pediatricians, we evaluate the nutritional, physical, neurologic, developmental and emotional aspects of children. We also do prenatal consultations for both normal and complicated pregnancies.
If you child needs emergency medical care for a life-threatening illness or injury, please go to the nearest emergency center and have the ER physician call our office number. Please be aware of the hospital and urgent care facilities that your child's insurance will cover, as our physicians have many managed care patients and do not always have access to this information at night or on weekends. These facilities will be listed in your insurance provider directory.
The excellent medical care we provide depends on a relationship of confidence and trust between the physician, the patient and the parent. Please communicate any questions fears or doubts to your pediatrician. It is important that you understand what is being done for your child and why.

I have been very pleased with the care my son has received from Dr. Schlichtemeier and her staff since he was born almost 2 years ago. I look forward to every visit and have not had any problems with communication or the no show policy. Would definitely recommend to anyone in Coppell or the surrounding areas.

I am only giving them 3 stars because I had the most fantastic experience with Dr. Amanda Jakubowski. She has to be the most kind, patient and thoughtful doctors I have ever come in contact with. As a first time mom, it was a reassuring feeling to have a doctor who cared so much for my daughter. Now, everyone else in that office are absolutely the most rude office staff I have ever come in contact with.

The office staff on the phone were always so rude to me and made me feel dumb when I asked certain questions about my daughter's health. They "forgot" to call me after Dr. Amanda interacted them to do so about a VACCINE that is very important. So now my daughter is behind on her shpts because of the poor performance of their office e staff. Dr. Amanda is the only reasons I kept returning.

When I found out she was leaving this office, I immediately changed pediatrician. I never write reviews, ever. But I had to let everyone know this is the WORST place to bring your children. Especially as a new single young mother, it made things ten times more difficult.

I went to this pediatrics on recommendation and staff was so rude. I specifically mentioned which Doctor I need to see and I got the appointment for another doctor. Reception was rude and she mentioned there is nothing on the notes. My appt was rescheduled 2-3 times. As a new patient experience was very bad. I would not recommend anyone here because of the staffs because you need to deal with them first to get to the doctor. Doctors might not even know what is happening outside!

There is absolutely no professionalism in this office. From the Dr down to the receptionist. I've never encountered a nurse so inept with children and argumentative. The Dr cannot remember what she told you previously. She is so nice one appt and disgustingly rude the next. I've called twice to talk to the office manager only to be transfered to billing and assumed I had an outstanding balance, but both times NOBODY bothered to call me back. We are not ever going back to this office and highly recommend seeing MD Pediatrics Dr Shumate who always actively listens to all our concerns. We love her.

I have been taking my children to Dr. Schlictemeier since birth and now have a 4th child. In light of Covid and the never-ending change to staff at Coppell Pediatrics, my children are now being refused due to what they are masking as protocol but really just translates to not accommodating. My business and the customer service they used to have has made a vicious decline and I will be seeking service elsewhere.

It is definitely sad because I like the consistency and thorough opinion the doctor has but her staff has ruined that for all future visits. I've recommended her in the past but will no longer be doing so. This had nothing to do with NO SHOW or cancellation so the point was completely missed by the reply. Furthermore, it embodies the poor customer service and attitude of the staff that takes away from the professionalism of the actual doctor there. Unfortunate indeed.

I love the Drs here but staff needs to be trained well not to hang up the phone on tough situations, I can show my phone records if needed. My son was sick and was asked to see by their own Dr if the Meds don't work. I called and they were not giving me any appointments for the same day, I tried explaining them the situation told to us by Dr and the kid is unable to sleep enough and can't wait for another day.

She said hold on and hang up. I called back and they hung up seeing at my number. They said one Dr is out on Holidays and another has Covid but again hanging up is not a resolution if you are having Dr's business.

The staff is somewhat friendly, they are very good with babies and children. The two things I hate the most is they can't see your child right if something wrong and they don't ask enough question about your child. It took almost two weeks to see my son ( which they call sick appointments) and by then my son is doing better. The not asking enough questions bothers me because the doctor (which is the head doctor of the clinic) needs to ask us about the child's eating, activities, and sleeping habits.

The only thing she asked us was what is he eating and did we do the survey. And this is not the first time either. I will not be bring back my child to this clinic. I need a doctor who actually cares and engages with the parents and their concerns. If you need a good pediatrician, look somewhere else.

With my first born I struggled to connect and communicate with his primary pediatrician at another location. When we moved to the area, now with my second child, I chose this location and I have been the most thankful for this change. Dr. Schlichtemeier has the best attention to our children. Every question I have is resolved, her patience is amazing. I live over an hour away now from this location and I will always make that drive as long as my kids are being seen by her. This place deserves more than 5 stars!

I can't say enough good things about Coppell Pediatrics and Dr S! My daughter is a very difficult patient on her best day, and they are always so kind and respectful. Both my girls and I appreciate their thoroughness and Dr S is easy to talk to. My girls really like her, and feel comfortable talking to her.
