I had a really great experience here. I got plantar warts taken out of my feet and Dr. Dana Owen was amazing. She was very up front about what will/will not work and what she recommends. She took cost into consideration and was very knowledgeable overall. I almost fainted during my appt and she was very caring/attentive through the whole situation. Highly recommend seeing her! Thank you!

Dr. Dana Owen was terrific, I had been given some bad information from a previous doctor for both my son and I. She was delightful, very very knowledgeable, took time to educate us on the issues so we understood what was happening and solutions. I feel like I've been to a lot of doctors in my life and Dr. Owen definitely is in the top tier of best experiences with healthcare. I wouldn't go anywhere else for foot care.

Not very helpful was told to buy expensive shoes and sandals. Was given super hard plastic arch supports that made my feet hurt more then they did before I went in to see them and they made my shoes and feet smell not to mention that they charged me an arm and a leg for them. I still haven't seen a statement from my insurance company so not even sure they charged my insurance company! Overall my feet are still killing me and I'm now looking for a new foot doctor.

I saw Dr. Dana Owen. No sinks in exam rooms to wash hands before handling your feet. She handled my foot with no gloves at first. After more than a few minutes of touching my feet she finally donned gloves. Whatever she sloughed off just fell to the floor. I was DISGUSTED but listened patiently. I should report this to St Luke's. I'm rarely disgusted, but this did it for me. I will find someone else.

If there were 0 stars, I would choose that. Made me feel like a broke bum off the street when I told the receptionist I couldn't pay the $125 co-pay, because I'm a broke college student & mom of 4, after sitting in a room with the doctor for 5 minutes, who only just palpated my foot, did not recommend any braces and proceeded to tell me that I needed a fancy pair of flip flops such as Algeria's or Danskos to support the possible stress fracture in my foot that he could not confirm at that time.
They were impersonal to my situation and I felt criticized. Funny thing is, they knew exactly when I got the 1st x-ray with an urgent care and yet they still scheduled me for this week knowing full well that a stress fracture wouldn't show up for another 3 weeks. Money-hungry. I will never ever return and will never recommend. Find another place to go.
Can't wait for this bill to come in the mail. I'm sure they'll add on another $200 just for the 2 minutes that the doctor spent looking at the old x-rays. This is why people are dying left and right. Healthcare is unaffordable.

Doctors Jim and Dana Owen are excellent podiatrists. I have visited their office on several occasions for different issues with my feet. They have always been very friendly, provided excellent customer service and worked closely with me to cure my foot problems. One of my visits concerned an issue that three other doctors treated but could not cure.
After three treatments with Dr. Owen, my foot was healed and I've been pain free for over 10 years. I would strongly recommend anyone with foot pain or issues with their feet to seek out the Podiatry Center of Idaho for help.

My 82-year-old father has worn diabetic shoes for many years, always 100% covered by Medicare and his supplemental insurance. (I moved him to Boise this past fall from Texas.) He was due for a new pair of shoes, so I took him to see Dana Owen. She did an examination, and concluded that he was not a candidate for diabetic shoes. She started talking about Medicare fraud and how she would not risk a $25,000 fine for recommending that my father receive new diabetic shoes.
She also stated that the shoes he was wearing were not diabetic shoes. She said that I should go to Cabela's and just buy shoes for him. I went back to his primary care doctor. He was confused by Dana Owen's conclusion. He did his own examination, put notes in my father's medical record then sent us to Rosendahl's. At Rosendahl's, my father received a third foot examination.
They took impressions of his feet and also clarified Medicare eligibility and the criteria of a diabetic shoe. We'll pick up my father's new shoes and custom insoles in 2 weeks. You would think a podiatrist would know what qualifies as a diabetic shoe and what criteria Medicare considers in there assessment of coverage. Many name brand shoe companies like Hush Puppy, New Balance, and Orthofoot carry diabetic shoes.
They are shoes that have been approved and coded by Medicare as diabetic shoes. Dana Owen is ignorant, and it is insulting to bring up Medicare fraud like we were asking for something my father wasn't eligible for. Our visit to her office was a complete waste of time.

Dr. Dana Owen provided my fiance with excellent care for his ingrown toenail. I would highly recommend her. However, I was very dissatisfied with the lack of honesty with the receptionist. I called in to make an appointment for my fiance and I was told that they worked with Dakota Care Health Insurance without any hesitation. This was not the case after the procedure was over.
My fiance was left paying a large bill that we were not expecting to pay at that time. The receptionist, Ally, humiliated my fiance by having him wait in a room until payment was made, treating him like a child. Most doctors would be able to send out a bill for payment. I had been told on the phone that we would have to pay our co-pay at the time of the procedure. Unfortunately, since I was not informed correctly to begin with and they in fact did not partner with our insurance plan we were on, we were left having to pay the whole bill up front.
They tried to claim the reason for the large bill was because we had not met out deductible, which was also a lie. The reason for the large bill was because they didn't partner with our insurance. I called to follow up with her about the issue the following day and she claimed it was not her job to inform me which plan with Dakota Care was covered.
She then knowingly proceeded to tell me exactly which plan is covered and which one was not. This information would have been nice to know at the time I set the appointment so I could have made the decision to choose a different provider covered by our insurance plan.

I was really impressed with the Podiatry Center of Idaho. The doctors were incredibly helpful and really put me at ease. I get nervous about going to the doctor but left the Podiatry Center of Idaho feeling like I had made a good decision. I recommend going here if you're one of those who suffer from "white coat syndrom."
